The Rex Hotel, Greentown PA

Loved staying at the Rex. Direct access to the trails, food recommendations, and hot tub was really nice.

My husband I had a great stay at the Rex! The cabins are adorable and the bed was so comfortable. You can tell they've paid a lot of attention to detail and wanted the place to feel rustic but upscale - mission accomplished! It is pretty close to the road, but they thoughtfully included a sound machine in the room. We took full advantage of the solo stove. We look forward to coming back, and hopefully we'll snag the room with the hot tub!

Great weekend at comfortable yet rustic getaway The Rex. Our room was steps from a Promised Land State Park trail. Relaxing vibe with a solo stove and Adirondack chairs and everything needed to make morning coffee. The room was cold when we arrived (a window was open) but once engaged heating unit and space heater worked fine. Very dog friendly. Had fun exploring nearby Hawley and Honesdale. Recommend for something different!

Beautiful property on a beautiful location and excellent service. Our family had an amazing time. Especially the kitchen in our suite, it was top notch.

What an absolute gem The Rex is. It's next to a beautiful state park, but it's clean and modern and full of thoughtful touches. The tap water: filtered. Bathroom floors: heated. Each side of the bed had a wall switch controlling that side's sconce, and the way the lights gradually dimmed on and off is the perfect encapsulation of The Rex. The store was cute and convenient, and had all we needed to roast s'mores by the fire. The wi-fi was fast. And there was a sauna! Cannot say enough good things about our stay here.

What can I say we had a great weekend at The Rex. Unfortunately we had a minor hiccup with the room we rented. Maintenance tried to fix the problem at the time but couldn't. Owners were really nice and helpful with coming to a resolution. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The one thing that I would note is that their fire pits do not put out a lot of heat in the cool weather. I would 100 percent recommend staying here.

Very Bougie very accommodating once we received a cot for our daughter as we were 3 in a 1 bdrm.once the heat came up is was comfy; just very expensive 325 plus 455 totaling. $780 for Friday and Sat evening. Amenities kitchen were fabulous.coffee and kitchen accessories were top notch.glass shower was very nice with heated floor in bathroom. Outside glass barrel sauna and fire pit really nice.we had a a wonderful stay. Thank you. Our golden retriever had a blast and that's the added price which was very reasonable $35 a night extra was well worth it! Exceptionally clean and outdoors was so well kept thank you.we enjoyed a wedding 10 miles away. Tall timbre in Candesis.

If u haven’t stayed at the Rex yet it is a “gotta do it! ”
This visit I met other guests we enjoyed each other’s company.
Staying at the rex the cabins and rooms have that homey feeling and that rustic look of a cabin in the mountains
I will be returning mid October for another stay look forward to it!
And definitely enjoy the sauna!

We had a wonderful experience at the Rex this weekend! Our room was clean, and stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We especially enjoyed the fire pit area - we were expecting it to be a communal fire pit and we were pleasantly surprised to find we had our own to enjoy. The outdoor sauna was a treat! From the store and fire pits to the complimentary snacks and hiking suggestions, it felt like you all thought of everything your guests would need to enjoy a relaxing retreat in nature. We saw a staff member on site both days we were there (I think his name was Sean) - very friendly and helpful!

We booked The Rex Hotel for a wedding weekend for guests to stay and it could not have been better. The Rex is a perfect quaint getaway in the Poconos that had lots to offer. Fire pits scattered throughout the grounds, proximity to hiking trails, an overall “home away from home” feel - it was a perfect gathering spot. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an outdoorsy and cozy place to stay in the Poconos.

Great stay with my husband for our baby moon. Cute, modern, clean small cabins. Amazing location on promised land park with easy hiking and great fall foliage. Bathroom shower needs a full door as splashed out with the half door, but tons of towels and great service. Will come back with the kids!

My wife and I booked here for a weekend getaway from Florida for some cooler weather and for some Fall foliage. The drive from JFK wasn’t bad. Better yet was what we found. The Rex was great. Getting in was easy courtesy of the great communication we had with Joanna. She quickly gave us restaurant recommendations when we asked. Our room (#8) was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the accommodations were great. The kitchen was enough for us for breakfast and for my wife to do some painting. The location was prefect to leaf peep and get to the small towns and villages in the area holding Fall Festivals. Being able to walk out and hike right into Promised Land State Park was a definite plus. My only two suggestions would be to include a pot and a pan to go with the hotplate - not that we were cooking— and slightly better water pressure in the shower - it was adequate but I like a bit more. Also, for two very different dinner experiences, try Crazy Country Club in Hawley one night (bizarrely fun) and Fairview Cafe (quiet and excellent food) another night. The Rex is worth the stay. We will be staying there next year

Our daughter got married this past weekend. Our stay at the Rex was outstanding! The rooms are beautiful and the outdoor fire pits and jacuzzi were an added plus. Our memory for our daughters wedding will be well cherished!

Unique property with a hipster vibe. Rooms are nice but a bit spartan (no closets), location is great near Promised Land State Park, and open space behind unit with sitting area and fire ring (with wood supplied) is very terrific.

Stayed here for a long weekend in late September. I was surprising my wife so a few things were unknown. Specifically if we were going to bring our dog and if we needed late checkout. The owners were responsive and receptive to us altering our stay along the way.

The room was clean and comfortable, check in was easy, and the shop even had some good apparel that we purchased! The community backyard is roomy enough to feel private and has everything you need for your bonfire. There is a trail entrance right on the property. There are close places to eat within 15 mins.

The only recommendation i have is to put park maps on the trailhead sign. They may be available at another spot on site but we may have missed it.

All in all, i would definitely stay again!

Spent the weekend with friends and loved everything about this place. I’m a bit of a room snob and this place did not disappoint. Beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed and lovely linens. We liked the contactless check-in/out, the fire pit was amazing, and the management was easily accessible by text. We stayed in room 2 with a king bed. The reusable canvas bag and snacks was a nice touch and having filtered water in the kitchen was appreciated. Our friends used the sauna and enjoyed it. I will definitely go back.

Great curated hotel motel in the poconos. Welcome package of coffee and snacks was wonderful. Great choice of brands to furnish the rooms with. Will definitely go back. Perfect for couples, family, or friends. Also the owners go above and beyond, I left my glasses behind and they mailed them to me.

Footsteps from the lovely trails of PA Promised Land State Park, the REX Hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The location was perfect for easy access to trails and The park’s beautiful lake. Furnishings in the room were comfortable but not fussy. The kitchenette had everything we needed, and everything was clean and accessible. Can’t wait to return!
