The Salvation Army reviews
12Gathering winter clothing for children and pets quilts over priced. 15 dollars for a very worn out quilt over charged over 45 dollars the bill was 63.when her total was 109.never again dishonest store.and said it was a mistake after I suggested she do it over and it was incorrect how ever she would have let us pay without correcting it.and employee charge another employees clothing on our bill.can't make this up.she pretended she didn't know how to operate the process but she knew.manager voided it its in their draw
Decent place. Not always the best selection but the workers are always helpful and friendly especially the 2 older ladies.
Have nice items, very clean store. But they should really change there hours on the website, so people don't drive all the over there to find they are closed!
Not a good experience I tried to donate a nearly brand new 50 inch TV but they said it was too big. But I could take it to Dunmore. What? Not very friendly or pleasant. I stopped by Goodwill in Carbondale and they were happy to take it. Also I have been trying to donate high end solid wood furniture for several weeks but the SA truck office has yet to contact me. Yet again Goodwill was happy to schedule a pickup.
Poor service when asked to pick up on a day when its convenient for us. I guess I will just leave it behind and let someone else deal with it. Idiots!
It's used stuff not new so why they charging $7.99 for a used shirt. I'll go buy new. Way over priced for stuff that's is donated.
The store has an odd smell when you walk in and everything is really 3xpencive for stuff they get for free. A used bit of clothing shouldn't be over 2 bucks. Not 5 to 10 bucks. Goodwill is better.
I regularly check clothing for damage, but have been disappointed a few times to find that while a piece was otherwise flawless, the staple used by this SalVal to tag it for pricing leaves a gaping hole regardless of how it’s removed. I found some beautiful items that now have holes in them because of their terrible placement of staples.
Good place to browse. We found a great, elongated plate for our home decor. Nice staff, and very easy to check out. The place wasn’t the most organized, though.
If your not a cat lady this place is a waste. I constantly see good stuff by the bins but it never seems to make it to the inside of the store.
Could do without having to listen to the foul language from the ladies in the stockroom. Perhaps they forget there are customers only 2 to 3 feet away, but this goes on every time I go in there.
I got two pair of jeans and a great pair of work boots for for $ 20.00. Whats not to like? Plus I have donated too them, it helped me clear out the closet.
