These hotel is very scary you hear weird sound through the night, I could not get my room until 5 pm when online said 3: pm your room will be ready, they close the restaurant and did not even bother to call us to inform us in the middles of snow storm, I will not recommend these hotel not even to my enemies unless you want to be scare and up all night because weird sounds come from near room 211 were we stay, when leaving the hotel I ask the manager if these place was hunted he confirm it, stay away if you want be safe or able to rest, also these resort is very unsafe only saw 1 camera in the whole hotel and the room keys never work! If you have family don’t plan a trip there ever the room are nothing like the pictures, I left in the middles of a winter storm I refuse to stay there another night that how bad the hotel and customer service was please don’t be fool by the nice pictures (photoshops)

When checked in the building I was staying in was no secure and was open for anyone to walk in. It was also far from the lobby so anyone could’ve came and no one would’ve known. Second the bathroom was dirty. There was hair on the floor. The bed i slept in definitely did not have the sheets or blanket changed from the previous guest. There was dirt on the sheets and mascara stains on the blanket. Overall i would not stay here It was gross and unsafe.

We were at the Shawnee in for Christmas 12/23 20 till 12/27/20.
We absolutely loved it.
The food from the restaurant was delicious. Had to eat in our room, but it was ok.
Had drinks by the fireplace in the lobby a few nights. Loved it
We will definitely be back.
Love the Oldness and Quantness

Appalachian trails and a 9-hole course. With unparalleled service and Gothic charm, the Inn features 43 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, on-site dining, and over 8,000 square feet of flexible event space, ideal for corporate retreats, mountain weddings, and family reunions.

Horrible place, horrible.place is so run down customer service is poor and very rude. I witness the general manager yell and belittle an employee in front of me. I would not recommend this place, if I can broadcast this in the paper or news I will. Stay away trust me I am saving you money, there are plenty of places near by better then this. This place is not even worth 1 star.

Very disappointed, I requested over a month ago a handicap, for my 93 year mom then again two weeks before check in time, yet still at front desk, didn't see my request, they so call try helping us, making sure that can fit a walker, not having a shower for a handicap is difficult to deal with, so we received a shower chair

The first room I was put in had a steep step from the bathroom into the sleeping area. Very dangerous for a family that is with a toddler. I did ask to be mo Ed and they quickly changed my room. Traveling with children I always look for laundry room which they do have but they do not ha e laundry soap. Not even a vending machine with

Terrible, no power, yet in the morning we found out other sections had power. They could have put us in a room with power, they chose not to. They didn't even assist us with a flash light. They made us walk up the stairs in the dark, while all employees were hanging around check in area

Really cool history & fun activities for families, music and s'mores campfire was really fun! Rooms are old and need some work but the property and location are wonderful!

Shawnee Inn is a beautiful historic hotel.if you love the nostalgia of an early 1900s building this is it. They have made some great new changes since the last time we were there which includes a cafe and a brewery. These were awesome! The brewery has fire pits and heaters with a live band. The cafe is perfect if you love a great barista. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The pool and hot tub was clean and we mostly had it to ourselves. The river room food was good and very reasonably priced. The daily activities the hotel has are do nice. They had a smores bon fire which was a nice touch. We love it and our kids love it equally. I am already looking to book our next stay since our little one wants to come back for his birthday weekend. The poconos never disappoints.

Standard Rooms very small and you can barley walk, if not accessible keep in mind there is a step up to enter room restroom. Carpet rooms horrible with a lot of stains, I recommend wood floor rooms.
Also river sidewalk n9t fenced make sure to keep an eye on your kids during your stay. Wonderful decoration for Christmas they offer s'mores around the outdoor fire pit at night. They also host life bands certain days of the week. Pool not heated but hot tub was, wonderful skylight in indoor pool area.

Our room was dirty.the ceiling was patched up and falling apart. The bathroom sink was de attached from the wall. The floors were dirty and hair every where. The bedding had stains. My 3 years old feet were wet, we moved the bed to find a wet bubble floor with mold. The front desk was like talking to a wall. We moved rooms and the toilet didn’t work, we were given a bucket of plumbing supplies as no maintenance wasn’t available. It was a terrible experience and the most filthiest place I’ve ever been. So gross. Very disappointing because we loved the view and wanted to make it a yearly trip. There was absolutely NO cleaning precautions being taken any where.

This was a short visit to Shawnee Inn. It's like time warping back to the 1920s and 30s. The grounds are beautiful; the lobby is clean and we'll appointed with pictures and items representing the history of the Inn. Looks like a beautiful place to relax and get away from the daily hassles. My plans are to return to the Inn and I will further update my review.

Enjoyed the unique, historic and rustic vibes. Awesome fall foliage and decor completed the aura. Oh yeah, add a brewery on site and can you have any better? !

My husband had a work event at this location and decided to bring the family. I won't lie, reading the reviews ahead of time made me very apprehensive about staying here. My expectations were pretty low before even arriving, but I decided to try it out. My husband booked a room in the Delaware Lodge for the two of us and our babies (3 and 1 years old). We initially wanted to stay in the main building, but the woman my husband spoke to said the Delaware Lodge would be our best bet if we wanted space. She was not wrong. We compared our room to those staying in the main building and it was definitely bigger. Couldn't get a double stroller in the non-standard sized door, but we made it work. The grounds are definitely beautiful, the pool was spectacular and we didn't have one bad meal. My husband even liked the soaking tub. He found it way better than the jacuzzi by the pool. My only complaint is about housekeeping. The first thing I noticed when walking in the room was the fact that the two queens were made differently. I had to investigate and found that one queen bed rated a top sheet and the other did not. That was weird, but not bothersome. One thing that constantly bothered me was how dirty the floors were. I have two young ones who are always roaming around the room. So when I noticed the bottoms of my boys' feet turning black I took matters into my own hands. I grabbed my baby wipes and started cleaning the floors myself. This was after I noticed ants. That led to me investigating other issues like the coffee stains on the walls (which I cleaned) and the dirty air conditioning unit (I also cleaned.) I get that Covid changed the way things are done in the hotel industry, but since rooms are being serviced less often one would think that when they are serviced then there would be no room for error. Yes, you could smell the bleach used for the tubs, but since when did Swiffering the floors become a hassle? One thing my husband suggested was giving guests bigger trashcans in their rooms. We were constantly removing the trash from our room (partly because of the ants.) Honestly, my husband and I had no desire to stay here when we arrived. We thought we'd see this place once and never again. But after walking around the grounds we decided that there's no reason to not come back. It's beautiful! Granted upgrades need to happen to the lodging, but for the time being the location definitely makes up for it. Good visit!

Highly disappointing and Overpriced (We paid $250 for a day) :
- Very outdated Hotel (poor maintainence)
- Tiny Room (really worn out.we could see wood chips falling off the doors)
- Old carpet (Not even clean)
- Small Beds: room with got two full size beds. It was too small and very uncomfortable for two people to sleep.
- Only one power point available for charging
- Smallest bathroom I have even seen (you might sprain your back muscle to reach for the toilet paper behind the toilet seat. Facial tissues looked liked recycled paper.)
- TV Volume. Cannot lower or increase the volume. Fewer channels available.
- Small window.we paid higher amount than other rooms as it had a river view. But we could watch the view only till we could stand in a crammed space with a tiny wnidow.

- Only good thing was the evening live music and the river gap in front of the hotel.

The hotel is ok to stay for price below $100 Otherwise not worth at all. Not recommended.
