The Steak House, Wellsboro PA

We were visiting Wellsboro for New Years - 6 of us had dinner on NYE at The Steak House. It was very busy (full of locals - very little open during this time). Food was okay. Atmosphere was dated. Prices were reasonable.

Went 2 nights in a row. My only complaint is the cook butterflied my filet mignon the 1st nite causing it to be overcooked. We enjoyed the lobster, lamb steak, and turkey w/cranberry sause. Soups, salad, and NY cheesecake were all very good.

The mushroom beef soup was exceptional! The steak was good, but not as flavorful as I'd have hoped. I'd definitely come here again, probably try the lamb steak. The service was wonderful as was the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

A great place to go for delicious food and great people. Jeff and Chris are the best hosts. I have been coming here for 35 years.

One of the best places to eat in Wellsboro & the staff & owners are like family to me I go there every friday night I personally like the Fliet Mignon Tips!

Had a great first time coming here with the family visiting Wellsboro. The food was amazing and the service was great. Our waitress Morgan was really nice and friendly.

This has been my go-to restaurant for my birthday dinner for YEARS. My parents have been going here for regular date-night for the past 30+ years. Dad hates to go anywhere else. The food is very good, reasonably priced; Geoff at the bar pours a little heavy, if you'd like that.that's to say, drinks are made to order; I am happy with the wide range of prices and selections. If you're in Wellsboro for a few days, make certain you include at least one dinner at the Steak House.

Excellent.vibe is comfortable and pleasant.service was outstanding.everyone was in tune with what was happeneing.as far as the food, it was great.did not disappoint!

Got seated right away, it was 5: 09 pm when we placed our order, took a long time just to get the salads and bread. Then we had to ask another waitress for a refill. About an hour and 10 minutes went by, and had to ask a different waitress if our meals were coming out. People who were seated after us were all getting their food quickly. Our original waitress never came to ask if we needed refills, and never apologized for the lengthy wait. Service was awful, food (a steak and a veggie burger) were fine. Will not ever come back!

Great food, especially the prime rib, with great service. Prices are a bit high, but overall a really nice place for dinner!

They have a true Bartender here first off. If you enjoy a good "worldly" whiskey & drink selection look no further.
The lamb and the steak entrees are fantastic. I can recommend charcuterie appetizer highly. First class.

Had the King Filet and my husband had Prime rib last night. So amazing! Both steaks were cooked perfectly and were melt in your mouth. And I'm picky when it comes to steak! Kristin was our waitress, and she was great. Super attentive and quick! A great way to celebrate our 19th anniversary! Thanks Steakhouse.

Everything we had was delicious from soup to nuts, the staff was super friendly and we loved our server "Mindy" she treated us like royalty (it was my daughter's and my birthday) absolutely recommend this establishment! Then maybe cross the street for an after dinner movie at the 100 year old "Arcadia Theater" with some candy from Highland Chocolates all on Main St.in this beautiful rustic Pa mountain town!

Great food, great service, nice pours. Been here many times and never disappointed. Best restaurant in Wellsboro, PA. I recommend the surf and turf.

There is NOTHING special about this place. Practically raw overpriced steak, McDonalds fries are better. The best thing was the bread. Wish I would have went to where the hotel suggested but it looked like a dive. Small town disappointments

The food was excellent and our server (Dylan) was fantastic! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the portion sizes were plentiful.

The 8oz center cut sirloin was cooked to a perfect medium. The dressing was delicious on my salad. Waitress was amazing and on the ball with any need. Worth the trip. Enjoy the bite.

Very disappointed. Soup was very salty. We were told the cook was told about the compliant but does nothing about it. The $38 ribeye had no flavor and had fat throughout. My chicken and biscuits was also salty. Our waitress was good and drinks were made well. My advice.fund another restaurant in Wellsboro.there a many good ones

What a great experience we had at The Steak House! I called ahead of time to see if they had anything gluten-free on the menu. While nothing is marked gluten-free, they were well aware of gluten-free items and would assist us when ordering and they recommended reservations, which we made. Our waitress was fantastic in relaying to the kitchen that they were dealing with celiac disease. Everything ordered was fantastic and they couldn’t have been more helpful! Thank you!
