The Velo Shop, Emmaus PA

This shop is really bad. They built a bike for me and not only did it take 6 weeks but virtually almost everything was wrong. Brakes pulled all the way to the handlebars, DI2 cables were wired wrong, front and rear derailleur installed and set up incorrectly, the rear brake cable guide was left in and was sticking out the frame, brake cable frame grommet not installed, brake cable foam liner not installed, DI2 frame grommets not used, DI2 cables coming out of the wrong frame holes, tires installed backwards, the receipt had charges for parts not used, and so on. When I tried to show and explain these things to the owner and mechanic they were very rude and condescending. Ultimately I was not charged but I did lose money for parts I provided and did not get back and the time I had to spend taking the bike completely apart and redo everything. Having to give one star is way to much for this place.

Nice local bike shop. Had a bike fit done and was very happy with the results so far. I've not ridden enough since the fit to make a good determination, but I did a 100k without issue. So far so good. I will definitely be a return customer.

Had a bike fit done at The Velo Shop today…and all I can say is, AMAZING! Becky is so knowledgeable in all things bikes. I explained the issues I was having with my bike, and she was able to dial in the fit of my bike and shoes. She also does not just change things on the bike, but she explains the rationale behind why the change will be beneficial. I left feeling like I had a completely different bike from where it started. This fitting was worth every penny spent!

Becky did a bike fitting for me a couple of weeks ago and it feels great! Well worth the drive for me and I highly recommend getting your bike fitting at The Velo Shop!

The Velo shop sets itself apart based off of Becky’s knowledge, background, drive and passion for riding which is inevitably received by each customer and keeps them coming back. Becky and Don go above and beyond to make sure you have the absolute comfortable, proper fit on your bike while being welcoming, down to earth and supportive to cyclists of any level. I highly recommend the Velo Shop to anyone for top of the line bikes, gear and service. You will not be disappointed.

What an awesome shop! First of all, it's in a renovated 1790s barn - so incredibly cool to see hewn beams above your head. Becky is world-class, literally, and so friendly that you feel like you've been going there your whole life. I felt very well taken care of for my first triathlon bike fitting - already such an improvement over what I had before.
I also really enjoyed the company of the adorable shop dogs - Chelsea's belly and Chico's snores have a special place in my heart.
I will be recommending The Velo Shop to every cyclist I come across and will return whenever I need work done on my bike.

Outstanding experience and knowledge in this bike shop. Owner has world class racing history and bring so much to each customer. Service is lead by a pro-level mechanic, you won't find a better combination! Fittings utilize video capture, laser alignment strategies, if you have discomfort on the bike I highly recommend a fitting with Becky. I will never buy another bike elsewhere!

I dont think I have ever experienced better customer service in my life. After visiting several other shops in the area looking for my first pair of cycling shoes I was becoming discouraged due to having a wide/large foot for a female. Becky was unbelievably helpful, walking me through the different brands and styles that would work best for my situation. She even took the time to help me align and install cleats on my selected shoes. She also took the time to share some knowledge and I was more than happy to learn. It wasn't until I got home that I learned who she was. What a kind and humble human! I'll definitely be back.

So happy to have a shop we feel so confident using. We have recieved quick and quality service on all our bikes. They are very attentive to repairs and have completed repairs on the spot while we hang out. It is not everyday you find a shop who knows exactly what parts you need for racing and would never upsell to anything crazy.

What a great experience! I brought my vintage Peugeot bike in for a tune up. It was having some problems and considering the age of the bike I wasn’t sure what could be done for it. They were able to bring my vintage Peugeot bike back into pristine riding condition! On top of all that, they are passionate about cycling. They took time to chat with me about professional cycling for nearly thirty minutes before I left! It was a great conversation and made my day! It’s always great to support places that have passion for what they do, and on top of that, provide a great service!

Highly recommend! Also, how cool is it that Becky is a former professional cyclist! Not everyday you get to talk to one! And talk about humble. One of the humblest humans I’ve ever met.

Great bike shop with very good customer service. Been bringing my bike over to the Velo Shop for over two years now. I have a Pinarello with Campy Chorus and I totally trust Becky and her crew to work on my bike. They have done an exemplary job for all my repairs, tunings, and tweaks needed. I think their pricing is very reasonable and service time is very competitive. I plan on continuing to use them even though they are 40 minutes away. I hope to one day buy a new bike and I would love to support Becky and the Shop.

Excellent service! Prompt and attentive. Had a tune-up completed by Becky and team over the summer. Great first impression - I left feeling my bike was in very capable hands. Results were terrific, not only from a mechanical perspective but indirectly provided renewed joy and inspiration with my classic Trek 5500. I had an awesome riding season and look forward to next! Highly recommend this shop.

My cycling posse drive 90 minutes to get service here. I set up everything over email in advance. Great stock of good bikes too. One of the few that carry brands like Scott and Cervello. Great communication and friendly, honest service. Highly recommend. Worth a drive from Northeast PA or even Philly.

Excellent customer service. Had an issue with my shifter and brought the bike down 15 minutes prior to closing. The fixed my issue right away.

This shop damaged my wheel by performing a service improperly. Now, they are refusing to correct this error, stating that it was “my fault” for buying a wheel set. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere - literally anywhere else- for your bike.
