The Yards at Old State, State College PA

The Yards has the worst maintenance in State College. Yes, they do have Golf stimulator, but it was broken since October 2021, And they never fix it. They do provide free printing service, but the machine always lack paper and ink. The WiFi alway lagging at night and lost connection for a very long time. Sometime the electricity power in the whole community will shut down for no reason. Definitely terrible experience here

Terrible WiFi, and no matter what kind of things you want to talk with them, they do not know what is going on. If you have any issue, they will just tell you they will make a note, tell their manager, and email you, but you will never receive any email. If you want the problem to be solved, go to their office at least five times and try to talk with manager directly, which is waste of time.

The Yards at Old State is the place to be! The units are very spacious and have everything one needs. The various amenities such as pool and the gym are awesome, and the workers are great and are always willing to help out whenever. They are willing to accommodate and handle any issues that you have and are very reliable! This is hands down the best place to live in state college.

The Yards is a great place to live. The leasing and community manager, Catie, is awesome! She will help you with everything you need and is a great resident advocate! Thank you guys so much!

Best off campus apartment complex, you won’t get anything like this for the great prices anywhere else!

Love the experience so far that I’m having and I can’t wait to get the pool this summer. I appreciate all the hard work y’all put in to give us a good living experience.

Overall good living experience, still sorting out some flaws but the place is new. I expect this will be a wonderful place to live in the near future.

Amenities are good when cleaned and not overcrowded by non residents. Latch door knobs aren’t the best and are useless because the door never locks. My unit was dirty and had prior residents items in unit upon moving in. It’s honestly okay but for the price not all that. My roommate matching was terror but there is only so much they can do. Maintenance though is great. Request get done pretty fast and the people are nice.

A great apartment complex to stay at while attending Penn State. Easy bus access to everywhere at the college/town. Quiet areas for study time, all the amenities; clubhouse with full workout/gym areas/ helpful personnel. Apartment was in excellent move-in condition with-nice sized rooms with everything a student needs-queen sized bed w/ Purple mattress, 2-2 drawer clothes cabinets/desk w/chair, private bathroom, big walkin closet with plenty of storage/clothing racks on 3 walls/2 levels; common, easy access washer and dryer on second floor; full kitchen on first floor connecting to community living room area with a giant wide screen cable TV included in the rent price. Excellent value as well, paid for 10 months, got 2 months free. Can't beat that! Check it out!

I just toured the Yards and was absolutely blown away. This place is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to live here in August!

I currently live at the The Yards and it is simply amazing! I 100% recommend living here. Beautiful apartments, an awesome clubhouse, plus so many more great amenities.

I’ve been living at The Yards since they were first built. Honestly, for what you’re getting, the price is worth it. The housing is luxury & modern, and we definitely have the best clubhouse in State College. Additionally, we’re surrounded by nature. This is the only place I’ve lived at besides a dorm my freshman year, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

The Yards makes living easy. The amenities offered, compared to the price is very reasonable and facilities are well maintained. The staff is also very reasonable and hardworking.

Awesome place to live in! Houses are cool and clubhouse is amazing. Staff is always available during business hours for any concerns.

Should be a 0 star option. Wi-Fi hasn’t worked in months and even when it did “work” it was horrible. The doors on the apartments are mostly broken. Trash is littered all over the complex. No one cleans the club house. All the “Nice 5-star reviews were made by new accounts all at the same time and by accounts used by staff working here”. Overall, the price for these apartments are very overpriced and not worth the almost $900/month. DO NOT LIVE HERE
