I do not recommend booking with this establishment without traveler's insurance. They require a 60-day notice of cancellation which is absolutely unheard of in 2023. At 30 days, you may get half of your deposit. I tried to cancel 24 days prior to travel (a reasonable amount of time) and was told - sorry.too late to cancel; you owe 100% of the stay. I didn't see the fine print on my Expedia booking because I would have never booked something like that if I had seen it. That's an unrealistic cancellation policy. Thank goodness for traveler's insurance!

It looks beautiful again! I was the person that first saw it on fire in 2007. I worked at thornwald nursing home. I saw a little flash of fire come through the trees and I had a coworker call the fire department immediately! I went outside and it was very sad to see. Glad it's back to its glory now.
