18 years ago this was an amazing campground. Sadly as with a lot of 1000 trails it has seen better days. The putt putt course is one of the best (lots of complicated holes) but is covered in debris. Trash EVERYWHERE! The gate does not work very well. Not many bathrooms and they are in bad condition. This campground needs some serious TLC. The one employee we saw was very nice but closed the store and other buildings at 430. Picture with the railing is where the indoor water used to be: (.

Michelle and the staff do an excellent job maintaining the cleanliness of both north and south campgrounds. We will always be back. GOD BLESS!

As all the reviews have said is nice. But needs some work! The seasonal residents are a 'bit' much! With the golf carts going way too fast and loud music. Is better if you get there before the weekend! We have been to South before and feel its better. But North could be one of the best tt grounds ever just needs tlc. We didn't have the issues at the site we were at like the pic I will post. But think most would prefer south as a FYI. Happy trails and camping ALL.

Campground store and other activities weren't open. Bathrooms didn't have any shelves to put down your soap, shampoo etc. They had 1 small hook. No bench to sit while changing. Sinks were pulled away from wall. Some sites were in disrepair and just left like that.

As members of Thousand trails, I expected more from this campground. The brown grass couldn't be helped do to lack of rain, but it still could've been cut. The handicapped sites were no better or different than standard sites. If not worse. The miniature golf course was busted up and could've been a very bad tripping hazard. A camper came in and got the site next to us and played their music loud right up until curfew except for one night, they had friends over with a disco ball, a karaoke machine and started drinking about 11: 30 that morning. Called the ranger 5 times that night, lady one being 10 minutes after curfew and not one answer not did anyone show up. Staff was scarcely seen. Would not recommend.

We decided to give this a try “off season” so we didn’t use any amenities. We were able to enjoy ourselves without too many neighbors. Everything worked (electric/sewer) and there was no problems. There seem to be some permanent residences and annual members. They were all really nice and sweet, we met quite a few walking our dogs. Down sides: roads are bumpy and dumpsters are a little bit away from the camp site. Over all, not a bad place at all.

Such a relaxing environment with great people. Love see others enjoying themselves listening to music and enjoying the fireplace

**BEWARE** This is NOT an RV campground this is a TRAILER PARK! The website says 14-21 day stay maximum but there were trailers with literal wooden decks attached. No staff to guide you to a spot and customer service said we could just show up, but when we did there was a locked gate. Luckily a family was nice enough to let us in with their code but it was so dark we didn't realize we were in a freaking trailer park till morning. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, unkempt, like out of a horror movie. Smells gross Redneck CENTRAL! The website is a LIE! Didn't even bother staying to find the "amenities. " Pool is closed but I hear they let dogs in the pool! Stayed one night because we were too tired to find somewhere else but cancelled and refunded the yearly trail pass. Don't even want to see the other sites. Don't waste your money, it's a reason it's $40 a month. The worst part is the FALSE ADVERTISING. Just call it what it is. A run down trailer par, a cheapskate's dream vacation. Would give zero stars but I guess I can't. Abyssal, disgraceful.

They made a lot of improvements this year but still lots to go. The pool area needs more for the kids to do, the sites are pretty big but the tables some are in bad shape. Some guest drive around in there cars too fast when kids are playing and with their music blasting as if I’m in the hood, I’m all about having a good time but show some class. Staff is good here. The camp manager comes off mean and talks to you as if you don’t matter. I take offense to this because I am a veteran, but he is doing good things for the campground. The lake is a nice place to go if you don’t have trashy people drinking and yelling at their kids while the try to fish. The grass is cut and the sites are clean. Lots of dead trees that should be cut because they can fall and damage your camper.

This campground is getting old in the tooth but we use it for short layovers as we travel up and down the East Coast. Timothy Lake South is the better option for amenities and longer stays.

Hot No! Spicey No! No, like your mama when you haven’t done your chores! No! No! No!
This is NOT a campground for vacationers. THIS is a trailer park. Each to his own, but this should not be in a campground registry of places to camp. The roads are bumpy, the sites are either washed away, unmarked, on inclines that mock cliffs and would scare even Tom Cruise away! Aside from the poor quality of the site the water and sewer are situated in the center of where one would normally park the RV. Quite ridiculous to scooch your rig so far over that now you’re hanging off previously mentioned cliff or in a tree just to get your rig hooked up.

Next, let’s say our interactions with the staff were basically nil. Upon arrival it was a ghost town at the check-in office which was closed. No doubt because they don’t want to hang out at the “trailer park” either.
Any way, we finally found a staff person and were told to just drive around and find a spot. Not unusual but considering the conditions it was a booger! The map didn’t indicate which sites fit which size rigs. Nor did it indicate which sites had 30/50 or sewer. So we wandered around through the hood hopping out to find out if they had what we needed. We did find one site that seemed like it might do but there was a literal gang of teenagers hanging out at the picnic table. We figured this is likely where they usually hang and didn’t want to disturb what is probably the only place they can go to get peace and quiet away from family.

I cannot tell you about the lake. We never saw it. As we drove in we did see an algae covered water mass through the woods. Maybe that was it.
Stay away. Remove this trailer park from the Campground community.

Completely denied my packages and were very smug about it which was quite bothersome. It was my medicine too. I even tried to meet the driver and they told me they wouldn't allow me. Weirdos

So we absolutely loved staying here, mainly because of the spot we had. I believe it was D6. Literally, our backyard was the volleyball court, basketball court, playground and miniature golf area where the kids loved running around and catching frogs at.

Why the 4 stars instead of 5? I didn't particularly like that the rec center was not in shape. Not at all what it looks like on their pictures with the billboard table and games.it's completely closed. Which was a bummer, but we managed. Also the pool area didn't have a bathroom. The pool itself was great, but if they had a bathroom, we couldn't find it.

But overall, we loved the trees AND the family activities they had organized for the weekends. Especially their Christmas in July. Totally fun for the kids and a joy to watch them have so much fun.

We would definitely come back and look for that same spot. Also! A super windy road to get there, and around only 20/30 minutes to essentials like Walmart, but less than that for the town type supermarket.

They need to trim trees, lack of security at night. Entrance gate is dark at night needs over head light, also many sites need stones added, especially lot C13 which is a great site but you cant get in due to the trees not trim and needs stones. Quiet times not enforced after 11pm.

The Management and staff have gone above and beyond to make our trip here a great one. They are working hard to bring the campground back to life. I enjoy it here and will definitely be back.

This is our favorite place to camp. Pool, playground, basketball hoops and more. Lots of great hiking around the area. This place has gotten some bad reviews recently but the new management is making some nice changes. It's no secret that this campground was on the decline but it is now moving in the right direction. They are now providing activities for the kids again. This weekend they had a DJ at the pool and a movie at night. The improvements have been noticeable. We will continue to stay here at least a few times a year.

Where to begin! Memorial Day weekend and the grass wasn’t even mowed for the sites. There is no arcade like advertised. No WiFi, No cable, No activities planned, pool was open but way too small for the amount of sites and people! The entire park is just extremely run down and unkept! Camp store was cute but not stocked at all! Multiple people pulled in and just left! We left early! Staff was nice which is why I’m even giving 1 star. I would not recommend and won’t be back!

Extremely disappointed that the entire lodge/store was closed. We were not told about this before our arrival. We had to go down to Timothy Lake South just to check in, not because an employee told us but because another patron did. There is a nice mini golf set up but when I called to inquire about playing they said they are not giving out putters or balls because "they can't clean them. " I asked if I could clean them myself and was told no because they can't even get to them. My three kids are very disappointed that they won't be able to play.

Shame on thousand trails. False advertising. The website shows a beautiful pool with many amenities. Good thing we looked at the reviews. We ended up cancelling our reservation to spare ourselves the misery of a 5 hour drive to find the park different than we were told. I reached out to thousand trails via online message. Good luck getting ahold of someone via phone. Still haven't heard from anyone at thousand trails about our concerns. How do you even get a person? Too late to book at another campground for our trip as they are all full. Just a nightmare. And I can't imagine if we actually went. If I don't hear from anyone the better business bureau is next. I hope everyone that went and didn't get as expected called as well. Just shameful.
