Thousand Trails Timothy Lake South reviews
17No cell service, be prepared not to be on the phones all day. Very quite and people keep to themselves. If you are looking for a nice quite get away and sitting watching the deer walk bye this is for you.
We love this place. It's a quiet family friendly environment. My dog loves it too. You can bring your golf cart and have fun.
Campgrounds, RV friendly, bathhouses, pool on site, lots of area to rides bikes, enjoy the outdoors!
We booked this site online using the thousand trails membership. We filtered by tent sites, and booked Timothy Lake South. By the time it got to the confirmation page it said we were booking an Rv site, which I thought was strange since I had selected tent sites on the filter. I shrugged it off as a technical glitch and simply left a comment in my reservation to PLEASE CONFIRM that this was an ok site for tenting. I received no response and assumed all was well. About we 8 weeks later we arrived to customer service that rudely told me there was no tenting allowed. I TOTALLY understand if you want rules like that… but that is no excuse for blaming ME for the glitches on YOUR system, And also offering no concern for the fact that we had driven two hours and had to randomly find another place on the spur of the moment.
Certain internet doesn't work or the signal is very weak. Had difficulties with cell service. It's a nice park with plenty of amenities. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It's great for those who are just passing thru or want to get away from technology for a spell.
Our first experience with Thousand Trails. Not so good. We arrived shortly after 5pm. They have a gate which requires a fob or code. Of course we had neither. Noone around. There were two numbers to call. We called and left voice messages for both. Several people came through. Noone would help us. We finally called customer service with Thousand Trails. They said that they couldn't help either. Amost an hour after we got there a ranger came through and gave us the code. The place is a dump. Many unmaintained campers. Mostly year rounds. Bathrooms were clean!
Typical TT, FHU typically work. Sometimes power dropped. Cell service on Verizon is spotty. Pay for wifi and the company you deal with is another bummer.
I stayed there in Nov 2022 with my 12 year old for our second father son trip. Hiking and fishing we the plan. We spent 30 plus dollars on bait and despite asking if we could fish at Norths lake (which requires a PA state license) and being told yes we only spent 1 day there before the ranger showed up and told us abruptly to leave. He was rude and needs a course in customer service. The Web for South says you can use everything at south when you stay and when I brought that up i was met with indifference and attitude. I made a complaint and have yet to receive a response.
Tripped for my son was ruined
My wife and I are avid campers and have traveled many places ouf of state to many campgrounds. We discovered Timothy Lake South when we joined 1000 trails. It is only 45 minutes from home. We didn't know anything about the campground, once we stayed our first weekend we discovered it we will be back many more times.
Wintering camping, it's simple, quiet and this campground is set up to accommodate. It was a lovely trip, it snowed, it was cold outside but thats what winter camping is the Poconos offers a ton of winter fun.
Overpriced. Pull thru sites are very close together. Back ins are nice. Cable is extra, wifi is extra. Entrance area has several potholes.
We recently stayed over Halloween. As elite members, we’ve been to our share of Thousand Trails campgrounds. This definitely ranks in our top 3. We loved everything. The sites were nice and spacious. Most were really level (this is a huge issue at other parks). Everyone was friendly and their Halloween events were fantastic.
Great campground location, corporate just needs to move some funds over to help fix it up nice.
Not much going on here if you are looking for a quiet place this is it but there is not much to do. The camp ground is clean and the sites, grass is cut. Staff is friendly
Park is cool. Laundry situation was bad. No wifi to power the machines. And packages are denied completely.sent my medicine back and laughed about it
It was a decent campground. We have startlink it was blocked but we still got a little signal on internet. I would say my biggest complaint is the staff are not very friendly. There is parking for campers doing laundry so they don't have to walk so far but the staff park there.
The laundry machines just quit sometimes but do not expect help from the staff.
The campground itself is nice and spacious.
Really nice.our neighbors were a little too loud but the office accommodate us quickly! Will return ️
