Ting's Kitchen reviews
29It was excellent. Staff was nice and friendly. Place was clean. The bathroom could have used a little TLC.
If I could give it more than five stars I would this place has delicious food I never complain about any of it because it is excellent thank you so much for serving such great delicious food see you guys soon)
The lunch special is a great value, and I have been a customer of Ting's Kitchen for years. Wait staff is polite, food is authentic, and the atmosphere is welcoming.
Ting's Kitchen is an authentic Chinese and Taiwanese restaurant. It's so much better than Chinese Fast Food in the local area. They have a lot of interesting Taiwanese dishes you will not find anywhere else. The food is delicious with high-quality ingredients and the rice is very high compared to the cheap rice they use in fast food restaurants. Many Chinese people are patrons here.
We ordered takeout for the first time after looking at some of the great reviews. Unfortunately, the cumin beef dish tasted as if half a bottle of powdered cumin was dumped on it. It was almost inedible and very disappointing. My husband had the chicken with bamboo which was okay but not great.
Great authentic Chinese and szechuan food. Owner Tina is a delightful lady and her staff are very eager to make sure you're happy with the food and service. One of the few authentic restaurants in Pittsburgh. Get their braised beef, flaming pan lamb, various spicy chicken with peppers, etc.
This is the best Chinese takeout in the area. I used to like Sesame Inn until I started going here. There food is excellent.
Not most, but a lot of Chinese restaurants have Chinese staff with thick accents and some even don't smile. Not the case here. They all seem polite and communicate well in English. Since this restaurant was taken under new management, the food has greatly improved. Still at its best 4 years ago. I strongly recommend dining in because it's not great when you get it home.
The first time, I feared this restaurant would only have the ubiquitous Americanized-southeast-Asian flavor profile of fried salts and sugars. It is in the north hills of whitelandia of course. But I’ve tried many different dishes and they have all been delicious. I recommend this place to all of my friends - even those who enjoy the more standard dishes. Everyone raves.
Always good for with authentic Chinese for those who want to try something other than Americanized version. Plus you don't have drive into the city and search for parking.
Second time I visited Ting's. The owner and waitress couldn't do enough for me. Excellent service. The hot and sour soup was wonderful as was the roast pork egg foo young. I will visit again next time I'm in the neighborhood. Great job!
This place is horribly expensive and the food was terrible. Avoid this resturant you can get Chinese food with better quality and way less expensive elsewhere!
Always friendly. Always quick. Always delicious. I love this place, and regularly pass by four other Chinese joints just to this one up.
Very good. Probably the most underrated Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh! Really good food, but inexpensive! What more do you want? Some specials are really amazing!
And parking is easy! One of the stores in a strip mall. Plenty of free parking spaces!
The most authentic Sichuan food I can find out here! Can't speak for the Taiwanese food but it's delicious as well. Gonna take me a while to try the whole menu but it's always worth the trip. Wait staff are typically friendly and Zhejiang TV in the background is always a nice touch.
A: they don’t pick up there phone
B: they take your order and then don’t actually give it to you
C: they don’t tell you until 1 minute before close
D: don’t use grub hub
What this strip mall restaurant lacks in ambiance (decorations, paint, lighting), it makes up for in great authentic food.
Our table of four started off with the pork dumplings (good), pork belly steam bun (delicious, the order came with 3 and they allowed us to add another so everyone could try one), and a "bowl" of the West Lake Beef soup which was actually a pot big enough to feed everyone multiple bowls of soup. It was an interesting mix of tofu and beef in a very thick broth with egg. For our entrees, one of us got the shrimp in lobster sauce, which was also huge in portion and tasty. The ChongQing chicken was great, like a spicy dusted fried chicken mixed with beautiful dried red hot peppers. The chicken lo mein and orange chicken with fried rice were also good.
I can't wait to come back and try some of their more authentic Taiwanese and Chinese dishes!
Excellent food! It's going to take a LONG time for me to try out everything that interests me on their menu. This visit featured Basil Chicken and Simple Noodle Soup with a Fried Dumpling appetizer.
Best hot and sour soup I've ever had! Great traditional and American-ized favorites. Spicy but not too spicy, lots of flavor, nothing bland or boring here. We ordered to go. It was super fast and easy and the people were courteous and friendly. Will definitely be coming back on a regular basis.
