I stayed here for 1 night. Room and kitchen was decent. Beds were ok and the living room furnature was ugly but not too uncomfortable.
My overall rating would be a negative rating thanks to 1 employee name Vivian (I was told thay was her name) she was doing the breakfast that morning. So when I got down to get a waffle made the waffle batter dispenser filled only half of the cup that needed filled. And it stopped. I walked over to the front desk and asked the nice lady if she can either help me or have someone help me becaus the waffle batter dispenser was either empty or clogged. So she had said she will go with me because she wasnt busy. She tried to push the button and it wasnt coming out she did open the font of the dispenser and removed the panel. And it started working only if it was tilted. So she said here fill your cups and ill put the panel back on. I said ok thanks. Then another guest came and needed assistance and she said she will be back after she helps the other guest and will bring the panel back. I said ok.

Then about 1 minute or 2 later Vivian walked in holding scrambled eggs to put into the holder. And she started raising her voice telling me that I was not allowed to touch the machinery and remove the panel. I said nicely the lady at the front desk was helping me and before I could explain any further she was raising her voice more. I did raise my voice and said "you need to listen so I can tell you where it is and what happend" Vivian got even more mad yelling and this time her hands were in my face!
My husband comes over and asked what was going on and I told him to get a manager
We eneded up at the front desk waitimg because the lady was helping someone. So we waited. While we waited Vivian walked behind the counter of the reception where we were and there was a wall she stood partically behind the wall talking to someone behind that wall speaking spanish about me. My husband spoke up in spanish telling her she was wrong for talking about me and pointed to me when shes my wife. Vivians color drained from her face and I never saw someone turn so white.
The lady at the front desk retuened and I requested a manager and she said sure whats the problem so she can tell the manager. As i started talking Vivian interrupted. After she spoke the front desk lady was able to verify my story and explained to her that I asked her for help and she was the one who took the panel off and she still has it and was going to put it back on. And Vivian knew she was wrong when our stories matched up and Vivian didnt say sorry or anything but got louder saying she was gonna lose her job and thatthe front desk lady was taking sides with me. She even went on to say how her health is bad. I spoke up and said Your health? You brought this on not me. What about my health. I have high blood pressure, didnt eat yet and didnt have my blood pressure meds yet. And here I am with my blood pressure boiling because of you. You best be thankful I didnt pass out in the floor due to blood pressure.

I did speak to the general manager James Parks on Monday morning. He seemed nice although he seemed more aggrivated at the situation. I do hope he will handle the situation correctly, because it was truely not something anyone at their hotel should have to go thru at all.
I am posting pictures of the room and Vivian. So if you see her stay away from her unless you want to be screamed at for something you didnt do.

Understaffed - literally one employee on a Friday night for the entire building. The poor attendant was being run ragged. Not fair to them at all. The breakfast, while free, was pretty low quality. The walls for the rooms are paper thin. Someone next door was snoring and it woke us and was so loud we had to turn on the HVAC fan full blast to drown it out. Would not stay again.

As I entered my room/suite, my initial impression was good. The room was very spacious and clean. I was happy to realize that it had a full kitchen stocked with dishes, full refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.
I had brought a few my own prepared meals for my stay, and after a long day of travel I was looking forward to heating up one of the prepared meals. The MICROWAVE WAS NOT WORKING. But, thankfully, I was able to utilize the cook top stove.
I was looking forward to enjoying a nice hot shower/bath. To my disappointment the bath did not hold water and the shower was lukewarm at best. Another disappointment. I was extremely tired and decided to test the bed. The pillows had somewhat of a stale odor that was indescribable, but I was too tired to complain. Alas, I had a great night sleep in this very comfortable bed.
On my second night, just as I was getting ready to settle in, the hotel had a power failure, which happened to be on one of the coldest nights of the season. I found myself in total darkness for a couple of hours before I realized that there was no heat. While the staff did make accommodations for many of the guests, I decided to start my long journey back to Rhode Island instead of relocating to an alternate location. I may have recommended this hotel even after the power failure, had the entire area lost power. However, since this hotel was the only one in the area without power and did not have a generator, one can not be prepared for an unfortunate event suchasthis.

Not impressed - picked this place solely on account of 2-room suite, only to be told on arrival they had overbooked and downgraded to a 1 room. Only two towels were provided and they put up a fuss when we requested more.

Premises reeked of smoke, and kitchenwares were dirty. #Marriott - you can do better!

Located between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, plus just north of the airport (AVP), this is a nice property that is close enough to the 81 corridor but feels far from it. Rooms, complete with fridge and stove, are standard for an extended stay caiber hotel, as is the free breakfast. Staff is attentive without being outgoing. Fitness center and pool/whirlpool are also similar to other properties of this type. The shops across the street offer a variety of food and other shops, but since no one really lives in the area, no grocery store.

Spent the weekend in the Scranton area and stayed here Saturday night with my wife, two step daughters, and my daughter. The room was $300 but holy cow well worth it. Two separate bedrooms me and wife in one and step kids in the other. My daughter had plenty of room on the pull out couch bed. Room had full kitchen including plates and silverware and the breakfast was great.

Everything was great. Nice rooms with large fridge, kitchenette, disposal and clean. Pool and hot tub worked as they should. Continental breakfast was great and this accommodated my snowboard trip wonderfully.

Overall I spend nice time here. Room was in good standard. Nothing amazing but simply ok. A lot of equipment to cook by yourself. Stuff was really helpful. Once I had problems with lock in my room. Lady from reception solved the problem quite fast. Room service was also very good.

We stayed one night and was very disappointed in the condition of our room, 203. There was peeling paint in the kitchen, the coffee pot was exceptionally dirty. The bathroom had some kind of "foam" on the floor between the sink and toilet. The furniture was very old and dingy. There was a faint smell in the room when the heat came on, maybe needed a filter change. All in all, I would not stay here again, clean is something that is very much needed these days! Thankfully we always travel with sanitizing wipes so we are less stressed about getting sick.

Much better than expected, rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It can get pretty loud with some of the events going on so if you have a non-standard sleep schedule take that into account.

Gave this hotel another chance after a below average stay a few months ago due to Marriott brand and location. Room wasn’t very clean and seemed to be what they used when other rooms needed something - Coffee maker with no coffee or condiments, no dish or dishwasher soap, no sofa bed sheets, halls heavily littered with garbage that rarely got picked up, no clean linens available (didn’t even have a washcloth), etc. Numerous lobby trips but couldn’t get dish soap (they recommended going out and buying it). We checked out early and found better (non-Marriott) hotel in the area. Never going back to this one.

Alesha at the front desk was very welcoming & that calmed our nerves as the Raddison nearby reneged on their pet policy saying I was given the wrong info by the day clerk. So we went here & enjoyed a nice jacuzzi after 11 hours on the road, was able to micro leftovers & keep our beverage cold in the fridge. Highly recommend

The rooms was clean and cozy housekeeping staff was polite and very sweet. There was this one guy always singing in the always never dressed in uniform I thought he was a guest I believe he goes by the name Tristan I asked him couple times if he can please lower. I seen and heard how rude he was to the housekeeping staff I will not be going back to this hotel no more.

I stayed here from New York for 1 day me and my friends all got our own rooms if you are purchasing the room with your card i advise you NOT TO PLEASE. Use Cash if u have. The deposit is 50$ with card but through out the night till the morning this hotels system starts to charge u for extra big amounts without any authorization. When i woke up the following morning i was going to Extend the stay until i checked my account and there were 6 different transactions from the Townehouse Suites for 300$ each. I went downstairs to report it to the Manager she so called gave me an automatic refund that a week later i still didn’t receive. Your business should not have to refund money if they were doing there job and not trying to take money from guest in the first place. It smells like weed in the hallways and there are also NO CAMERAS throughout the hallway that does not make me feel safe. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Hotels needs a remodeling. Fridge was dirty, left overs from previous customer. Heat didn't work In some of the rooms. No staff/ no house keeping. The pillow cases were stained. The amenities such as the pool and jacuzzi; were unavailable.

I have booked this hotel three times and I’ve had a wonderful experience every time! The staff is extremely accommodating and the front desk agents are always pleasant. Shary Isley really took care of us and went above and beyond to ensure we’d have an enjoyable stay. Great service is the hallmark of hospitality and the staff at this hotel has consistently provided exceptional service! This hotel is now our first pick when we are in the area.
