Travelers Aid of Pittsburgh reviews
15I am totally grateful for the help with the bus pass but the people at the front counter are ignorant and rude
The workers here at Travelers Aid who work with the MATP customers are very nice and treat us without looking down on us like a lot of people do. Also, they have a very good system going on to where you are in, seen by one of their employees, and right back out very quickly which is awesome. I would like to thank all of the MATP workers at Travelers Aid who help the customers who go to the Clinics for being nice to us and treating us like people, not animals and also for not looking down on us or making us feel bad about ourselves.
They are nice and fast once you get in the door but they only allow 2 or 3 people in at a time so that's a little frustrating. All in all it's not that bad.
The staff here and front desk people are SO rude. They treat people like animals. The minute you open the door you get yelled at for walking in. If you're not wearing a mask they yell at you to get out. They correct you on everything. There are three workers at the front desk, and there is one woman in particular who is rude. She is the one who does all the yelling and correcting. The customers who come here are already struggling to make ends meet and have hard family situations so I DO NOT appreciate being treated this way, especially by a social service place. I think you should treat people with some RESPECT and DIGNITY. I notice they discriminate and I guess they think they can get away with it because it's a social service place. I'm really not sure where they get off.
People inside seemed somewhat annoyed by others, but I can understand that. Why can't everyone just be nice to others?
Very helpful to those needing transportation to methadone clinics and people in the OVR program. You're always taken care of right away. In and out the door.
Melissa well that's what she said her name is but wouldn't give me her last name lied about having me come there to show them my insurance online an I wasted a hour trip there m she was very rude an ignorant then she she swore at me an this is the manager
Very ignorant they 3 people told me 3 different things of what we needed acting like bus passes come out of their own pocket the manager Robert lindner even said that’s his error he’s pretty old an incompetent probably shouldn’t be working where you gotta deal with people. They remember me by face even with a face mask when I come in once a month an they discriminate. Other than that yea the parking is nice?
Very helpful and polite.call before you go with you're information and see
What you need.
Fast service when getting your bus pass. I know you either have to be enrolled in a methadone clinic or OVR to obtain a bus pass.
Remember everyone, NEXT MONTH YOU MUST HAVE YOUR ID AND PASS TO GET A NEW ONE. YOU KNOW LIKE PRE COVID DAYS
Such a great thing to have help with traveling expenses. My experience today was great. Quick in and out. They protect themselves and help protect yourself by keeping distance.
They really got a good system down now you go in you get your card and it's really fast and they don't have any contact with you
I don't know which demographics of individuals they primarily serve here, but for me, I was beginning to put my life back together in recovery from an addiction and NOT ONCE did I ever encounter a staff member here who was anything less than helpful, professional, efficient and FRIENDLY actually. If you're attending a clinic or program that puts you in touch with Travelers Aid of Pittsburgh- Go. You will not regret it, but please remember to be courteous and respectful. There are SO few businesses and organizations in which the employees DON'T treat people in recovery like they're on par with garbage, and the people who work here have never made me feel bad for being alive or showing up there, and anyone in recovery or struggling with human services needs knows EXACTLY what I mean. These people here are just great, pls return the favor:)
The women who work in there are very sweet and great and wilk work with u, its the gray hair man that has the attitude, try to avoid him, otherwise its a great place that offers much needed help with monthly transportation
Good place on the Blvd of the Allies by Smithfield Street of you need a bus pass, gas card, or access to pick you up. Especially for Methadone clinics. They also provide services for other medical appts. Only 2 people allowed during the virus at a time inside. If you're new to a clinic call Travelers Aid 1st to speak with them so you don't waste a trip down there and have to come back.
