Twelve Whiskey Barbecue, Pittsburgh PA

The food and drinks were really good. We went there for brunch and had the big A bloody Mary (it's huge and hard to eat but very awesome), chicken and waffles, and the American breakfast. They have a nice bar and a bunch of tv screens that had college basketball and football on. Everything was good but the service was really slow at times, which is okay because we weren't in a hurry but really the only point of complaint. I would go back there.

Never again! Literal flies in my drink and Christie and her ratchet lashes gonna tell me “Maybe you should drink here then…” Seriously? GFYS then

Food and service was good however…Doesn’t accept gift certificates from “previous owner” (business has same name) had to put up an extra $50. Manager didn’t feel like telling me themselves or offer anything. Would have been back if that didn’t happen

The bar tenders /waitresses were great. I would have given them 5 stars but everything had a bit of a spicy kick. The menu description didn't say anything about spicy. I don't like spice at all luckily the spiciness was tolerable.

The food is great and the staff is wonderful. It is under new management and has gotten even better if that was possible. I love this place

My wife and I just had dinner here. She had the baby back ribs and I had the brisket. Both were over cooked and dry. Any smoked meat should be pink in the center, my brisket was well done.
The smoked potato salad was awful, a weird concoction of cucumbers and onions. To be honest the best thing on my plate was the Mac and Cheese.
Definitely will not go back.

Worst EXPERIENCE. Bouncer was fixing a door and I was speaking to him. I then walked back in and another one grabbed me and got irrational and yelled at me about "go around to the front" i explain I literally was talking to the other one about fixing the door. Then the other one chimes n and acts like he didn't know what was going on. I get pushed.

I had to leave before things escalated beyond repair on my end. I wasn't drinking and there were a lot pof people that were but I was treated like a "belligerent drunkard", when in actuality it was unprofessional for the establishment to treat a patron that way.

If management reads this. Understand I've never written a negative review of any place but I believe your establishment needs come to read the room as well as identify individuals who are a nuisance. Which I was very much not.

Great BBQ joint and bar in the Southside! OPEN LATE! Where else could I get a bbq platter after 9pm on a weekday? No where that I’ve found so far! The 4 dollar White Claw Wednesdays caught my eye too!

We loved our meals. My boyfriend and brother had burgers and I had a Cuban sandwich. I wasn't crazy about the waffle fries, they just weren't hot enough. The sandwich was hearty and I took half home.

Bartender there was very courteous and very informative. We were undecided on what to get and he made suggestions that in the end made this a super fantastic night. Been in Pittsburgh for three days coming out of Ohio and if it wasn’t for this place I would’ve never wanted to come to the city again. But the food and the service was out of this world which made my stay in Pittsburgh one of the best I’ve ever had. Thank you very much the food was fantastic.

Reallyyyyyyy bad BBQ! REALLY REALLY DISGUSTINGLY GROSSSSSSS! Visited based off of reviews. So far pgh reviewers need to get away from primantis & visit other states& cities to know what good food is. The worst BBQ I have ever had! Legit couldnt cut thru the ribs! I needed both hands (yes HANDDSSSS!) to PULL apart the ribs! A saw wouldve probably helped. Plus it smelled like raw meat. What does that tell you? ! Yuckkkkk

Stopped to honor the memory of my cousin who used to be the floor manager and worked the door, he passed away last year. They have his picture by the front door where he used to sit? Never ate here before and I am so glad we stopped! They just unveiled a new menu a few weeks ago and OH. MY. GOSH. The Southern Belle chicken sandwich is hands down the BEST chicken sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire life. And that’s not hyperbole! The flavor was to die for. Mac and cheese was My girlfriend got the pulled pork and it was also just as amazing! Great atmosphere and great wait staff! Can not wait to come back!

I really liked this place, great food and service. We were there for lunch and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. This absolutely improved my first experience in the USA:)

I highly enjoyed my bbq chicken legs. The flavoring and texture was top notch. The rub they used made them so tasty. The meat was easily above 5 stars and the sides were a little above 4, so I will round it out to 5 stars.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. Watered down drinks, bland coleslaw, watery baked beans and not the best cuts of meat. Good buffalo chicken dip and corn bread. But we won’t be back.

I think it was a bar when I went. No bbq. But lit! Fun. Good drinks and music. The dj knew what he was doing on the night of 6/4.

Wow, this place is such garbage. The staff care more about having a fun time themselves than serving the customer. My bartender/waitress actually stepped out while serving me and came back with her own food from another restaurant while I still waiting for mine. When asked about my ribs she said ‘they take a while’ while I heard the microwave beeping from the kitchen. Ribs were dry as you’d expect for a reheated ribs and the music and laughter from the kitchen were LOUDER than the music in the restaurant. Whoever owns this place should double check who they’re choosing to hire and pay. Waste of time and bad barbecue.
If you are a BBQ smoked meats person, avoid this spot. It is not good, it’s not about contacting the manager or etc.they do not do real bbq and it tastes like cardboard. I had two sides with my 6 ribs and they were 1/8 full while music was blasting out out of the kitchen. - I waited for “6” reheated ribs for 45 minutes.

Our first time here and it was during Open Streets Pittsburgh. Great service, cool place, awesome food and drinks. The Parm Alarm sauce for wings and tenders is legit one of my favorite sauces of all time. Breakfast burrito was stellar. And Nick made the experience a reason to come back for another brunch. A definite hit.

It was Monday or Tuesday and they were doing trivia night, which is pretty cool. Tiny humans meant we had to leave before it actually started so I can't say how good that part was but there was a decent turnout for it.
