Uncommon Ramen reviews
13This place never fails! Great fresh broth with amazing flavors! Tried every bowl there and I can’t pick what is my favorite because they are all amazing! Family owned and ran the service is always amazing! Definitely one of the best and a must try!
We tried the ramen here on two different occasions. Both times we ended up with broth reminiscent of veggie soup.
I just have to rave about Uncommon Ramen for a second. It makes me extremely disappointed to see low rated reviews for such an incredible family-owned establishment. Every time my husband and I order from here whether it’s take out or we dine in, it feels like we’re just eating a meal a family member made us (one who knows how to cook!) The owners are so kind, thoughtful, accommodating and patient. The freshly sliced rotisserie chicken & their broth in the Tori Paitan is addictive. I can’t get enough of it & would highly recommend anyone to give them a try or a second chance.
Unfortunately this was disappointing, the broth was watery, noodles were bland, and the miso ramen is not miso ramen, it was vegetable soup.
Tonkotsu broth is very bland. Good broth is crucial for good ramen.
Bao buns were delicious though.
Great little ramen shop with wonderful attentive staff. Had the chicken bao bun and tonkotsu ramen which was great!
Was wonderful! Loved the atmosphere and it was extremely yummy! Would totally come back just for the tonkotsu ramen! Only downside was the price but it’s a great time and totally fills you up
Ordered spicy miso - very very disappointing, maybe if given ingredients 5 year old can make this better. Soup is just place tomato puree tastes like from a can food.
Ordered extra spicy but no spice at all just tomato puree
The food was great! Definitely the best ramen I have ever had. Employees are very nice too.
Wanted to like it, but just wasn't a fan of the ramen. Service was good. The place had a weird smell and the ramen tasted like dirty water. The pork bao buns were good though.
This spot checks all the boxes! Great food, terrific staff, awesome story! My wife and loved the pork gyoza with the spicy chili sauce and the miso ramen bowl! Can’t wait to visit again and explore more of the menu
I visited the area over the weekend and some friend and I decided to try this place. I have an onion allergy and was informed that almost everything they do is with onions in some fashion. I was ok with that. It happens. I told the waitress that I just wouldn’t eat and let the other guys eat. No big deal. The owner/chef refused to let me not eat anything and made a bowl for me special that didn’t have anything cooked in onions etc. I told them they didn’t have to do that but he insisted. It was some of the best ramen I have ever had. Although they didn’t have to they made my experience a fantastic one. Get there and enjoy some delicious food
I’m in town for work and decided to explore Phoenixville with my free time while also searching for a good spot to enjoy a quiet lunch alone. This place was perfect on all fronts. It wasn’t crowded yet had an intimate seating arrangement which made me feel less anxious about being alone. I ordered the house-made pickles and kimchi as appetizers and as a huge pickle/fermented food lover these two items alone exceeded expectations. The kimchi was the perfect level of pungent with the exact amount of heat that doesn’t overpower the cabbage. The pickles were still fresh and cucumbery with a lovely sweet and sour taste and the sesame seeds added a satisfactory texture. So good I got another order of both to take with me. I ordered the Tori Paitan noodle bowl and the broth was the exact amount of flavorful, comforting, and balanced. Chicken was tender, eggs were perfectly boiled with a gooey yolk that made every bite a treat. The noodles weren’t over cooked and held the flavors together wonderfully. All of the veggies (scallions, mushrooms, etc.) added a pleasant fresh pop to the dish. Unfortunately I don’t remember the server’s name but I wish I did because she always came to the table at the right times and let me have time to relax in between courses. Her demeanor was relaxed and encouraging and really tied together the end of my solo trip out of town. I’ll be back in the area later this week and will definitely be returning to Uncommon Ramen.
