Save yourself a lot of stress and aggravation and stay away from this business

Contract was drawn up in July of 2022 to remodel the entire downstairs including kitchen, foyer, office, and the dinning room as well as powder room, two upstairs bathrooms with addition of a laundry room space plus replacement of the stairs. Of course this was supposed to be an A-Z job so I assumed. I thought I am dealing with a professional that will take care of my home as he has assured me he would before he has gotten paid. I was so wrong.
The reno started Sept 14th. According to the conversation this was supposed to be a 6-8 weeks remodel. On February 7th Dimitri pulled his workers out telling us he is losing money on this project so he is done. He made up a whole lot of lies that were completely false and we have proven them false with pictures and correspondence. The job was never finished. I ended up with cabinets that are damaged and not installed properly. I found those cabinets to be so misrepresented by the staff. If I knew their quality prior to the install - I would never have ordered them. Workers left me with live uncapped wires hanging, nails sticking out in the door frames, two inaccessible attics with plywood thorn up. Besides unfinished areas in the house and construction debri, we were left behind with unsafe stairs with no railing, inaccessible garage with inoperable garage opener, and flooded basement. Basement floor has to be completely exchanged since the workers have broken a toilet pipe and flooded my finished basement. Dimitri has proceeded to accuse me of having this damage prior to the construction even though I have a date/time stamped video of water dripping and his workers actually acknowledging their mistake.

Throughout the entire project that took 4 times as long as promised I felt like our house project was always neglected as time line goes. There was always another house that the crew had to attend to and we were left waiting. There were weeks when we did not see anyone for 4-7 days. 6-8 weeks turned to over 20 weeks. Meanwhile we lived out of one bedroom with no kitchen no showers. We were willing to do that for 6-8 weeks.never would we agree to this knowing it would be over 20 weeks.
It was a rude awakening to actually speak to the crew and hear that they have the same issue over and over again with anyone they work for. They are not able to finish a job as they are being pulled in too many different projects and the clients get extremely upset. Crew seemed to be truly upset with this issue and at least 3 of them have quit or are in process of quitting this futile work environment.
This individual has been nothing but rude and unprofessional and has no business in construction world.

I would not recommend his services to anyone.
