I must thank Justin Curtis for helping me at the counter today. I came in hoping I could transfer a big video file from my Mac to thumb drives. (I'd already spent three futile hours trying to share that file in other ways.) Justin sensed my frustration and jumped in to resolve it. Once I bought three thumb drives, he did all three transfers on the spot. Folks are already sharing that video via thumb drives. They're thanking me but Justin deserves all the credit. Justin, thanks for being so brilliant, kind and happy to help!

Stopped here to purchase a camera in support of my major and future career. I had the pleasure of meeting a young lady named NaBrayah. Though she has only been employed there for (2) weeks, she was very knowledgeable about the various products. In addition she had a very friendly disposition making it easy to engage with her and she was funny. I left completely satisfied with my purchases and the experience of visiting this establishment.

Had a lens caps stuck on my Canon 18-55 lens which wouldn’t budge. Went in to see the guys at Unique. They helped me right away, told me about their event this weekend which I’m going to and got to see all they had. Friendly, clean and fully stocked place, now my go to.

My first visit I got my 35 mm film back in 1 day! They usually say 4 days so when I saw it in my email the next day I was so excited! Second visit was exactly 4 days but that’s only cause their machine was down for a bit. Great experience, they do a great job. God bless them!

I would honestly not trust this place for any of your camera rental needs. Staff members do not communicate or know correct information, and are not problem solvers. The first time I rented here was not the best experience (they didn’t include a camera strap and then scoffed when I asked) but the camera equipment itself was fine so I decided to rent a camera body for a big event today. I booked everything online a few days before and had called the store to figure out how to let my second shooter pick it up. They directed me to a form online and said it would be no problem. When my photographer arrived to pick up the body they refused to hand it over without the original credit card, and offered no way to troubleshoot despite the fact, I confirmed everything on the phone with them the day before. She had provided a photocopy of the car used just as they had instructed. They are unreliable, offer no customer service, and quite frankly are quite rude. I hate to support a big corporation, but I will only be renting from Canon or from an online camera rental from now on.

Best photo store in Philly hands down. They have it all. Film, classes, high end photo/video equipment, all of the accessories/add ones you could ever need, rentals and phenomenal customer service. Fair prices for reliable, quality products. The staff is very knowledgeable, highly experienced, super patient and kind. Chris and Kristen thank you so much for all your help, be back soon!

If you’re a person of color beware of the funky passed-off treatment. It was my first time in a while in town and I ran into this nice camera shop. I was pretty excited that we now have a small B&H kind of vine right in town. I have shot my film cameras as a whole and noticed that they have everything that any photographer needs. I walked in and approached the front desk, the young lady was very pleasant and after that, it went downhill. She gave me a short rundown of the store and welcomed me in. I asked her where they had used camera equipment. She pointed me in the direction of the counter on the left side so I made my way towards the counter. A white man was standing there and he seemed bothered or just didn't want to serve me.

I noticed a GR3 and the gentleman behind the counter appeared not busy to answer a simple question, how much is it? Should I continue? He then asked the girl up front to look up a proof ns directed me there. The energy was not good and I sure hope someone will dread his behavior as it is not good for business. I sure hope I get an apology. I will never set foot there again -shame

Miserable staff, sterile environment, horrible communication.they will scratch your negatives, and the quality of scans are terrible (hairs, scan lines, dust). Do not spend here, do not develop here.do not support this business.

Today I had the good fortune when calling Unique to be connected with a wonderful gentleman named Chris who nicely took time to support me in the questions I was seeking for my Fujix100v. He was personable, made a real customer connection w and even shared his own professional experiences into what he was facilitating.

Unique is a wonderful addition to Philadelphia for all your photo needs basic to the most advanced.

Caleb hooked me up with a repair, saving me $150 in the process. Chris researched and tracked down the mic shock mount I needed. These folks are knowledgable and generous with their time. No need to leave the city for your photo needs; this is the place

My first experience with Unique, last year, went well. They digitized a few old slides for me and did everything on time. The staff was friendly. My second experience was quite the opposite. I dropped off a roll of slides to be developed, and a few more old slides to be digitized. They said the slides would be done in two weeks (processed on site), and the digitizing would be done in four or five days. They insist you wait for an email from them before going back to the store to pick up your order. THREE weeks went by. When I called (how dare I not wait for the email!) they told me the roll of slides had been developed, and the digitizing would be done "within half an hour. " So, it looks like they were just sitting around for three weeks before being digitized. When I got the scans, it was clear they had not cleaned the dust off the slides, and one was done backwards. My recommendation is DON'T USE THEIR LAB. Mail order is faster and does a better job.

First time customer. Purchased new camera and equipment for my son. Staff was friendly and our sales associate Kristin Tsafos was superior. She was so patient and helpful and answered all my questions. She made product recommendations suited for our purchase and definitely will be returning in the future.

A great camera shop in Philly. Fully stocked with a wide variety of gear. Super helpful team of people working there. And a great selection of photo books with new additions always being added.

Great store, the staff are knowledgeable and super helpful. Don’t go here to develop film, there are much faster stores in Philadelphia. I’ve never gotten my roll within the time frame they give me. Great store though

This place is awesome.

This place is staffed by the most welcoming and knowledgeable people. Every time i come here i am welcomed and treated well.

The staff is always helpful and polite and they have gone above and beyond on several occasions for me. Their classes were also extremely helpful in stepping my photography game up. Honestly I can’t speak highly enough about this place. It’s become my favorite camera shop in philadelphia.

I was in a jam today. A bunch of my work had been accepted to a gallery. It was short notice and I needed the prints like yesterday. I am unencumbered with knowledge of prints or like…framing. I needed these done in large format and I needed them soon. Todd, Justin and Andy (Randy) were extraordinarily helpful. They put a tremendous amount of care into this and helped me get this done. The communication was on point and the customer service and final product were (as always) above and beyond my already high expectations. I was so impressed that I had to come back and add this addendum to my existing review.

In closing.
Give everyone a raise. I don’t know what they make but give them more. 37 thumbs up.

They ruined an entire roll of film by overexposing it. Lost forever, take your business elsewhere.

The men that work there are very nice and helpful. You can bring in your new find and if you have questions. They will check it out and answer any of your question free of charge. The men in this store are true professionals packed with knowledge patients and kindness. Best camera store in philly. Thank you guys for always being there for me. 1
