United States Postal Service reviews
16Today is Tuesday 12/20/2022 and 10: 03 AM. Front mailbox doors are wide open. The building doors are locked and business should have been open at 9am. I'm not sure where the staff are but this is frustrating and inconvenient.
If I could give negative stars I would. This is the worst. Stolen and lost packages FROM THIS EXACT LOCATION. Not to mention nobody returns or answers phone calls/voicemails.
This place is a joke. Don’t believe their posted hours of operation. Lobby supposed to be open at 7am. Arrived at 8: 20 to a locked door. Previous week waited an hour for an employee to arrive to open the desk area.
I come here whenever I have any mailing needs. Well, you know it’s usps, so don’t expect any efficiency. It’s pretty standard, nothing special. The people working behind the counter are generally friendly, but they don’t have the most professional mannerism. However, I like the fact that they open for a while on Saturdays—very few locations open on Saturdays.
One of the employees scolded me the other day for not putting the stamps on properly. It was for an envelope with a certificate of mailing and he gave me two stamps and he told me to put them on and I asked if I put on one each envelope or two on one envelope and he said put them both on one but he wasn't really paying attention. He was looking at his cell phone. And then when he saw that I put both stamps on one envelope he scolded me that this is not what he said. Unreal. You shouldn't scold a customer no matter what.
Go to the tri county PO! Because this location needs to be closed down they don't do anything they are mean like normal I would say someone is rude but no these people are just straight mean ppl that should not be working on a job helping other ppl like go get a different job if you don't like it and stop messing with people's packages and other Mail I say that USPS is dropping the ball on letting this stay open. Or letting the employees work here
USPS might as well just shut down completely at this point. Second location I went to today that the staff was “closed for lunch” indefinitely with no sign of return. Everyone deserves a lunch break, but maybe customers should be informed of when not to waste their own lunch breaks, time, gas, money & frustration traveling to a deserted business.
Was told to leave the Post Office here because they didn't handle click and ship labels. They literally told me to go to fed-ex or Ups for them to handle my priority mail package. Now my actual mail is being piled up in my apartment building ""Lafayette" and packages are not being delivered. Informed Delivery says can't deliver my package because they can't access the mailbox. I live in apt building where the mailboxes are on the 1st floor. Piles of mail and packages are all over the place but just are not doing anything to deliver mail and packages.worst i have ever seen.
Incredibly inpatient and rude clerk. This is my first time writing a one-star review. My worst ever experience of USPS shipping, which is so horrible that I couldn’t keep it to myself.
The annoying staff lady many reviewers have mentioned here is a truth. I avoid going here just not to deal with her.
The worst. We are a business that relies on mail, and if we see our carrier 3 times a week we are lucky.
Karen that works here is one of the most undesirable, disagreeable, unappealing people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I work in an office right down the street and ALL OF US including my manager, go to different Post Offices just to not have to deal with this obviously down in the dumps lady who hates her life and takes it out on customers and other people who are just trying to do their job JUST LIKE HER. She gave one of my coworkers her manager's phone number in a very condescending way, and even asked for my coworker's number and that she would give it to her manager herself. AGAIN, in a very condescending way. I don't know if this lady is invincible or has a close relationship with management or what, but this is unacceptable. Whatever has you so miserable that you are taking it out on your customers on the daily, please remediate the situation, Karen. Your soul is ugly and God is disappointed.:) Have a blessed day.
Be careful with prepaid labels here.they added weight to my package so that they could charge me more.
This review is for the offices and its employees, not the US Postal Service or those in charge at the top. I encounter a line each time I enter, usually a long one, yet I have NEVER exhaled loudly or whined b/c I already expected one. More importantly, the attention to detail that the EEs are providing to each customer is mesmerizing. We're in line maybe 5-20 mins (on avg) and we hear them providing help and asking those same questions repeatedly to each customer. Imagine that for an 8
hr shift! Impressive!
USPS really is the worst. A package requiring signature is claimed to have had a delivery attempt. I was here, I have cameras, no such attempt was made. When I call support to request redelivery as the status instructs, they say redelivery isn't available and that I must go into this location to pick up my package. When make the trip in, I arrive at the location and provide my information. Very little was done to attempt to find my package. They didn't take my name or my tracking number. They didn't even attempt to find my package other than looking around the room for 30 seconds. I have no idea where my package is. I'm on the phone with support with a 30 min wait time. USPS is the worst.
My $2,300 advice:
1. Buy the insurancef or the value of you package
2.2-day "priority mail" is a waste of money. If delayed (my package was delivered ~4wks after I mailed it), USPS does nothing regardless of insurance claim filed until after 15d of your mailed package. And they give themselves 60d before they do anything.
3. Expect lots of generic emails & non-responses if you got back to either USPS offices or their generic/useless 800#.
4. Spend the extra money on UPS or FedEx. Please. While neither are perfect, my 28May2021 USPS experience has resulted me back on my blood-pressure meds.
