Usps complaint

On Tues 7/25/23 around 1154a I came into the store to mail a letter via certified mail. I wrote the return address on the left and the recipient’s address in the middle of the envelope at the store, in front of the clerk. The clerk was very nice and friendly. He told me the placement of the return address was acceptable. This 1 star is for his great customer service skills!

A wk later I get the letter sent to me instead of the recipient. I go into the store today 8/1/23 around 9 and explained to a different clerk what happened. She said I wrote my return address too low and that address got picked up and that’s why it got mailed to me. I needed the letter resent and I asked if I needed to pay again? She said yes because it was MY fault! I explained the clerk told me it was fine so it’s a mistake on the clerks end for telling me the location was fine. She said she was going to get a supervisor then TOSSES the mail into my hand!

15 mins later the supervisor comes out and she’s nonchalant and tells me I need to pay again and there’s nothing she can do!

After the supervisor leaves, the clerk takes the next customer and acts like I’m not still there. She then gives me an attitude! And tells me I need to complete another slip for the certified mail. How am I supposed to know that when she didn’t communicate that to me? I don’t work at the post office so I don’t know the procedures for how something like this gets handled.

I wasn’t sure if my handwriting was legible and asked if it was acceptable and she said “they” dont look at that. I wanted to double check again and asked a second time bc I do NOT want to be back at the post office for a 3rd time and she gives me an attitude again! Were “they” the ones who mailed the letter to the wrong address!? !?

After I paid, I’m waiting for her to give me my receipt and she stops to check her apple watch and start scrolling on it! She hands me the receipt, mentions the survey, and doesn’t say anything else. I’m just standing there because I wasn’t sure if there was anything else I needed to do. I asked her if I was done? She said yes. NO thank you or anything to let me know I was finished.

The return address goes on the left hand side, recipient address goes in the middle, the green slip on the back of the envelope had the recipient’s address. None of them wanted to point that out tho! They were so fixated on how “low” the return address was. Spent almost a half hr here, spent extra money for nothing- a ghetto mess …

The issue is the lack of accountability, lack of professionalism, lack of compassion, the attitude -everything altogether only made the situation worse. I understand mistakes happen but pleaseee fix the problem, not make it worse! Unqualified workers with no customer service skills! No wonder the post office doesn’t get enough business.

After I made an appointment to do passport time, my appointment was canceled on the last day.

The post office should have opened at 9am. I stood around rung the bell no answer. Finally someone came out at 10am and tape a letter informing the customers that the post office will be CLOSED! The lady who tape the letter on the door just shrug her shoulders. Thats clearly an indication that she does not care or value the customers time and travel. This is unacceptable especially since we waited an hour to be told it’s closed. Post office service has declined substantially. I wished I could given them zero stars unfortunately you can’t if you want to leave a review.

That new girl Kedisha is so rude smh I refuse to hand my packages to her when I go there. Always something shady like no tracking number, damage etc. When she first started, she looked right at me ask me if my package was fragile, I said yes, and she still proceeded to throw it across the room into the shipping box. Smh Definitely not a good look for the northeast post office

First let me say I really like our regular mail person, reliable always But today, and this is not the only time, a parcel was left on top of the mailbox It was a large box so it would not fit in the mailbox One other time medication was left next to the mailbox on the ground. If it had been raining the parcel would have been ruined Anyone could walk by and knock it to the ground or a theft could take place if the post office can’t handle these packages shouldn’t they be forwarded to UPS? ”

I have been experiencing my mail being delivered so I signed up for E-Mail updates. I have not received my mail which includes a check.

Past two weeks mailman (new one) has been messing up mails BIG TIME.receiving mails from other buildings and other units and even other addresses which are far from us. DOESN'T READ AT ALL.i also am missing some of my own mails which was most likely sent to the wrong address.previous mailman, no issues at all.now a lot of mails are left outside mailboxes because they were delivered in the wrong mailbox.

This has to be the worst PO in Philadelphia, lost and stolen packages with no accountability, please do not go here

I scheduled and appointment for my passport and they cancel three time at the last day. I have three months waiting for apply for my passport end they cancel all the time. Now I have emergency and I don’t know how I can apply for my passport. The postal service is not doing good job.

They sometimes close the service area early without notice, always short of employees, line is usually very long with only 1 person at counter. The prices of mailboxes are ridiculously high i can't afford it no more, I hope Biden gets another post master General soon we need help!

New mail man is terrible, delivers to the wrong address, Throws box’s on the step and doesn’t close the gate. Our previous one was awesome. It seems like we have a different one every week now.

Please do not go here, you’ll end up waiting for like an hour and be rude by the 2 workers there. It was a guy and female worker there that act like they hate their job & ppl! So please don’t come here!
