University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital Emergency Wing reviews
16If you love ur pet do yourself an family a favor an stay away from this place. They have no compassion whatsoever. My dog passed away while in their care an it was the worst experience I've ever had. So cold. An never even received a paw print of my dog. Even tho I asked for it. Dropped the ball multiple time during the time my dog was there. I could go on an on but I wont. Just a terrible experience!
Awesome! If I ever have to bring my "family member " there you treat them as though they belonged to you!
We took our dog to have a consult with a vet for a thymoma removal. They treated us super well and were very attentive. We spent about an hour there as they did their own physical exam with him and discussed the course of action they would take. I am so glad we did this as we learned more about what we would need to do. I would recommend going to this place as they seem to know what they are doing.
Worst experience with Joseph Frame who refused to help with my sick kitten. I came through the ER so I know nothing is guaranteed but I called several times the day before to confirm that if my cat needs a CT scan it would able to be done here. I even had my Vet call to talk to a Vet from Penn who confirmed this case that they would help. Joseph Frame gave me attitude and said he couldnt find notes of this phone call. When I said fine I can ask my vet to call again to explain that my cat needs a CT asap he didnt wannt hear it. The next day I found another place who managed to do a CT Scan and thought it was very odd the Penn Vet didnt think this case was urgent enough to do it. Incompetent 4th year resident - Joseph Frame with a damn attitude too. All he did was look at my records i sent over and confirm what the previous vet had said and they still charge me a visit fee.
It was a great experience. Of course, going to the emergency room is never easy but they are the best and super thorough. My baby Xena she is 4 months old and they treated her like a queen.
We lost our very loved family dog, Ginger, of 11 years today. Dr Kroll was sympathetic, respectful, informative and gave us meds to keep her comfortable until I could bring my daughter home from college the next day to say goodbye. We had her euthanized and the care and comfort they provided was outstanding. They even gave each of us a clay paw print and a nose print on paper. I highly recommend Penn Vet. They made a difficult and heartbreaking situation as easy as it could be.
My dog was here for three nights. They were so professional, thorough and responsive. The money I spent went such a long way in the amount of testing and care that they provided for my dog. He was so sick and we had no idea why - they truly saved his life.
U PENN VET DONT HELP PEOPLE IN NEED AND THERE WEALTHY. THERE VERY GREEDY AND ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY. WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND
The staff at UPenn Vet is absolutely the best! They welcomed and assisted my dog and I immediately, and got right on to diagnosing the issues. In the end the experience was warm and comforting. The staff is truly top notch! Thanks, I will forever be grateful to you guys!
I had a great experience taking my very sick pup to the ER. Dr. Lam was incredibly thorough and compassionate in the ER, and Dr. Box in internal medicine as well!
Our 17 year old orange tabby passed away as we drove him to Penn Veterinary Hospital. The staff could not have been more understanding, sympathetic, comforting and completely sensitive to what we were emotionally experiencing. The offer for a final clay pawprint that we brought home and baked so we can keep it for posterity was such a nice and unexpected offer. At the time in our pet's life when we had to use the services of this pet hospital, we could not be more pleased for the final services and empathy they showed us.
Very clean hospital and very knowledgeable. When they determined my dog had some sort of skin reaction going on they politely requested that I wait in the waiting area while they conducted their testing and made me aware of why I couldn't be in the room with him. I am grateful that they did this and am grateful for the treatments prescribed.
They took amazing care of my Larry! He was extremely sick when we brought him in and we were even afraid that he was not going to make it through the night. They saved him and gave him the best care possible.
Amazing. The staff is very caring and humane. I could never have gotten through this traumatic experience without them
Wonderful, compassionate care from the veterinarian at PennVet. Helped us understand the situation with our beloved Jack Russell Terrier Patch and helped us through the very difficult decision to let him go.
Very impressive place, techs are great learning a great skill! Also they have free parking for patients and that’s huge for being in Philadelphia
