University Orthopedics Center - Altoona reviews
15Dr Brett was very kind and knowledgeable. Explained things very well. Would highly recommend him!
Mary Ann and Dr Kahoulf are second to none. Very caring and Professional along with all the other Folks @ UOC.
THANKS
These days it is hard to find a doctor who cares about you has a person, takes time to explain things, and gives options. Best part of my first visit; the procedure was not painful and I have less back pain! Dr Fred Khalouf, Rachel, and his entire staff work as a team, going above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.
UOC is a busy practice and Dr. Budny always seems to be on time with appointments. However, he doesn’t rush through your appointment. I had a new area that was sore and he took the time to explain what was going on, showing me a model of the joint and how it happened, and then he gave me three treatment options. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. (I drove two hours to keep him as my doctor since we recently moved. I think that says a lot about his work and practice.)
David was very knowledgeable and professional. He made me feel very comfortable and was very easy to talk to.
John Vargo is an excellent PA, personable, but professional. He informed me of my choices concerning my right knee problem. I would, and have recommended him to my friends.
Dr. Port was recommended by Dr. Trostle’s‘s office as the best shoulder surgeon to do my shoulder surgery. What they did was reattach my bicep to my humerus and shave part of my collarbone/shoulder. PA David Claar met with me for follow up appointments. As a team, they were very easy to talk to, very upfront, and everything they said appeared to go as planned. I would recommend them to anybody else who needs shoulder surgery; they were very good. While in the waiting room, several other patients of Dr Port said they were very happy as well with Dr Port and his staff.
I truly can’t say enough on how I was treated with the entire team at OUC. From the the first visit of evaluation to my fitting of my brace and the gel shots that was recommended for my knee. Time will tell on the outcome of the shots but as of now thank you for all that yens all have done. I felt from the consolation visit throughout the entire process of my situation that I was being treated like family. Thank you and your team for all that yens done. And yes…I will recommend this facility to anyone that is in need of your service as this hasn’t been my first in counter with OUC as you all treated my daughter a few years ago for her broken arm as she was also treated and taken care of as family and the same for my mom when she had a shoulder reversal replacement surgery done from Dr. Ports. Thank you David and if I could give 100 stars I would!
Always a wonderful experience. Great bed side manners, well organized and helped me through many situations. Extremely professional and welcoming.
Developed bursitis in an elbow following an accident, was directed to soak in epsom salt. Had no effect, may have made worse. Uncertain of how to review/rate as this was an initial consultation but certainly did not resolve the issue. Review is of a physician’s assistant rather than an orthopedic doctor.
Dr. Saylor was thorough, effective and very knowledgeable. He took the time to figure out what was going on, explained everything to me clearly and answered all my questions. I would recommend anyone to go see him with your medical concerns.
Doctor Tyndell, showed me the X-ray on the big screen and explained everything very well. He gave me ample time to ask questions and answered them so I could understand what to expect.
Detail oriented, knowledgeable staff. Easy and quick check in/out. Wonderful people here. Dr. Lincoski wasted no time scheduling surgery. And Dr Muetzel is the best at draining knees!
I thought they needed more people working in check in. Had to wait in line with several other patients. The doctor was nice enough for the 5 mins he was with me.
Broke my hip Friday evening January 13 and Dr Singer came in the next morning on a Saturday and put me back together. Great Job. Now the best part was a sweet young lady named Serria was with me this whole process. She was the most kindness caring young lady I ever met. Surgery was over she came and checked on me and the following day also. Not knowing she was Dr. Singer assistant she was who I had to see on my checkups. What a caring young lady always cared how I was feeling. Serria you made this time in my life enjoyable. Always with a smile and our little conversation about our life's you made my day every time I had a visit. Thank you young lady for who you are. Your the Best of the Best
