I have been with Unruh for many years. I recently have made a claim and was left hanging to defend myself, don’t expect Unruh to be there when you need them, they weren’t for me! Kent the owner showed no interest in listening to me, I told him how I felt and his response was if I need to call Pa insurance commissioner than maybe I should. I will be calling them! They made me feel as if I have no help or hope, the last thing you want when you need your insurance agent.
They are very kind at the desk, the reviews are true about that, but that’s all about taking your money. The part you need to realize is when you ask for the owners of Unruh to be involved in a claim and Kent (an owner) says that their employee knows more about the insurance than he does. I asked them to explain why I was not covered and paid for all the things my policy said I would be and Unruh’s answer was, it’s in the paper work, I said I don’t understand, their response was we have spent more than enough time with you, hours on this and we are done. Regardless, I’m out thousands, because they are frustrated and failed to represent the client as they should, also never answered the questions. Erie may be great insurance, but find another agent before they fail you as well.
…. I edited my review to add a response to your excuse. After much research I have found that you did not do near what you could have. And giving the opportunity to help me, you opted out. When I asked and asked for you to explain why you refused to represent me and define Eries responses or to defend me your falsely accused client you declined the opportunity be cause you said “we spent enough time on this”! Just be honest with yourself, Unruh insurance agency does not care about their clients, actions speak louder than your lies!
