Wow, How does this business keep patients. Phone system is archaic at best. Ever hear of music while you wait forever on hold. After what seemed like forever and a day was told that billing was option 6. Guess what the recording has no option 6. Was transferred and phone hung up shortly thereafter. Think they are trying to hospitalize me with their incompetence. Revues have been bad for quite some time which says something also. Recommend you go somewhere else possible Canada or a third world country

Crystal was completely rude to me. I really like my new doctor but this woman needs to be retrained or fired.

Good doctors but the worst front end staff I have ever dealt with. Also, the nurse they transfer you to if you have any question for your doctor is very unprofessional and rude. The wait time when you try to call in is always a long wait. Would not recommend to my family or friends

Dr. Ardinger seemed alright, but the front end staff are terrible. I signed off on paperwork on November 8th to get my files faxed over to my new doctor, and as of December 23rd I still have not received notification that they have done so. This is not the first time I've had issues with the front end staff, but it certainly will be the last. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Very frustrating front staff. This is my third time trying to get my migraine medicine filled where it seems such a low priority for them. (for those who may not be aware migraine medicine refills are already very stressful because its very hard to predict when you need more and insurance companies don't let you get extra. If you refill too early you get a LARGE bill. These are not pain pills.)

After my pharmacy telling me they contacted the office three times (and my husband and I each called once) I was argued with and told everything was my fault. When I said, Okay fine, its my fault, can I just get my medicine? The person continued to argue with me. In order to tell me I was wrong.

I will not be going back to this doctors office and I would not recommend.

Dr Eric Ardinger was my former physician he is excellent doctor and gives Grade A + treatment to all his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone and he spends time listening to you. I was sad to see him leave Charleroi PA but if you need a doctor please consider him. Thanks, Darren Opfer

AKA, the Mickey Mouse club! Dr. Ardinger does not show concern and can't shake someone's hand to save his life.
Recommends medication I don't need. Receptionist's "notes" are never correct and have been given the wrong information multiple times.

Don't bother.

Dr. Ardinger is wonderful to talk to. Good doctor.
Calling the office sucks! Called office today, On hold today for over 30 minutes.
Not enough staff or incompetent help.

Great doctors, terrible staff. The office already closes at 3: 30 (well before anyone with a job could manage to get there), and even at that, the staff closes the place early! Can't even be bothered to stay open for the 8: 00-3: 30 work day?

Been a patent of Pgh Internal Medical Associates for almost 20 years now. Just missed a call from them at 4: 45 on a Friday because they wanted to discuss something else in my exam results. I called back IMMEDIATELY (was calling them back as the nurse was leaving me the message for crying out loud) and was gruffly put on hold by the gal who answered the phone when I told her specifically who had just called me. There they left me for 15 minutes until the office closed. Just the latest example of the horrible performance by the office staff of this organization. They have some decent doctors there, but overall I would not recommend them to anyone.

I literally just finished filing a complaint with the State Board of Medicine on this office and it felt great. Back in September of 2018, I requested a FULL physical. As a woman, that includes a pap smear. The doctor didn't even do that. It wasn't until I asked a friend, who is a Doctor, that I found out that wasn't the normal routine. I left it alone because it was over and done with. But then, I applied for several positions starting in November. I needed a 2-step TB test completed and a physical. I asked my doctor if he could just sign the physical since I just had one completed and didn't need another. He said that he wouldn't sign it unless I had TB tests done at his office. After I explained that I already had started my Tb tests at MedExpress, he said just bring proof of them being completed after I finished and he would sign my ONE physical form. Dropped it off to the office on Thursday morning at 8: 30 on 1/3/19. I was advised by the receptionist that someone would call me. Noone did. I called to the office Monday, 1/7/19 and I was advised by receptionist "Ally" that the form would be completed that afternoon and someone would call me. I told her that I have been told that several times and no-one ever followed up. She spoke with the driest tone and said "well someone will call". Never received a call. Called Tuesday, 1/8/19 and spoke with Ally again and she said that someone would call me that afternoon as well. Yet again, never receive a call. So, I called again this morning at 8: 30 on 1/9/19 and lord and behold I Ally answered. I told her that someone was supposed to call and never did. She put me on hold, came back, and said that Dr. Ardinger would have it filled by the end of the week. I started crying because it's been weeks and this form hasn't been signed - which I need in order to start working. I told her, in-between sobbing, that I didn't understand why it was taking so long when there was literally 1 spot for him to sign and date. There wasn't any information he had to fill in or anything and that I was going to lose my job before I even start. She very coldly said, "ok well, like I said, he'll have it to you by the end of the week".

I DESPISE health care for this reason. If you're going to be in healthcare, then try CARING about your patients and customers for a change. Or at least try not to hire individuals like Ally. I will be taking my services elsewhere.

Very upset with non responsiveness of this office. I am accomplished to very long waits to talk with a nurse-constant statements that "my call is important and the next staff member will answer. " This is the second time that while I was waiting the office closed!
The RN I talked to this a.m. Said that I didn't need to get an app't with my PCP because prescribed meds are not effective. She said she'd talk with him and asked for the pharmacy to call meds into. Said she'd call back. No call back. Waited til 2: 45; called back-just the infernal recorded message. I called the pharmacy in hope that a prescription was called in but that had not happened.
The answering service suggested I call back at 8: 30 tomorrow morning.
It is very clear that more staffing is needed. It is also very discouraging to ask to speak with a nurse, then to be connected to someone who is not a nurse, then to repeat.
Very upset with UPMC's automation that is increasingly increasing the distance between patients and their medical providers=e.g, the sign-in kiosks-so much more user friendly than speaking with a human being.
My PCP is wonderful and understands that I and family member are going through an extremely difficult time. I do not call unless I need assistance that only
he or a nurse practitioner can provide.
Just disgraceful! I worked for decades in health care settings and find it unconscionable that a caller on hold will simply be left dangling until the office closes.
UPMC-HIRE MORE STAFF! Also please leave a feedback that appears less than 1 star-that is what today's experience deserves.

I like my doctor but the office staff is beyond incompetent. I could walk there in less time than it takes them to answer the phone. I just sat on hold for 18 minutes! I had an MRI done over a week ago and I haven't heard a word about the results. When someone finally answers the phone, I'm told the doctor hasn't reviewed my MRI yet but she'll leave him a note. What? !
In the past I've called AND emailed them for a prescription refill that was about to run out that I have to get through mail order. No response. I had to drive to the office and I'm told by an office worker "the doctor isn't there so there's nothing she can do. " What? ! It's not like I'm not stopping in at a random doctor's office. Figure. It. Out! I ended up waiting around for someone to write a prescription to get me by a few days. Unresponsive to prescription refills has happened twice. Unbelievable. The only reason I torture myself and continue to go to this location is because it's close. But I'm seriously done with this place.

Very poor phone system and/or manpower to answer the phones. Rarely get through to talk to person, almost always placed on hold, often for 15 minutes. Often hung up on after sitting on hold for long period of times. Very frustrating.
