Awesome staff.
Michelle is amazing our daughter just loves her and she always makes the visit focused on her and makes the visit so easy, always has an answer for any and all questions.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this pediatrics office is - after having some horrible experiences in Harrisburg at a different office I’ve been so elated to finally find the best place for my kids. Highly recommend.

I am very happy with all the staff here. They helped me get my app working and have always treated me well. I would also like to call out Christina Howard CRNP as an amazing and caring professional. Thank you!

My son was seen for fever, swollen knee and after arguing with Dr Angelova about treating him for lymes, she refused antibiotic and caved on ordering blood work that came back a week later Lyme positive. It took over a week to receive an antibiotics prescription due to refusal to treat. Fast forward a month after his treatment, he was still having random fever, knee swelling and not feeling great. I had to schedule another appt for additional blood work that came back with high lymes numbers still ongoing. I called into the office and requested a callback and received nothing. I got a notice via portal that a referral was put in for infectious disease specialist with zero conversation regarding what was going on. I could not be more disappointed in the care my son received and the complete lack of communication and empathy from a pediatric caregiver. Avoid at all costs.

I’d rate this place ZERO stars if I could…. Back in 2015 (almost 10 years ago) this place at least had caring physicians and competent receptionists. I’ve been going here since then and noted a decline in quality around 2018ish… how it’s gotten since post-Covid days, I can’t even begin to explain my disappointment. Last time I went here, my daughter was complaining of UTI symptoms, and me, not wanting to waste time and money on a trip to the doctor, bought a UTI test kit while out at the store. It came up positive for a UTI, so I scheduled an appointment in October of 2022.

To start off, I must of struck the receptionist the wrong way, because she gave me a HUGE attitude for forgetting and ASKING for a mask for both my daughter and myself. And because a UTI isn’t a transmittable disease, I asked to sit in the “well” side of the office. That gave even a worse response from her, she coldly told us we HAD to wait in the unwell area during cold/flu season while my daughter didn’t have anything someone could catch from her. She then handed me a mask for both of us and said, “they will be with you shortly”. About an hour had passed after my appointment, so I approached another receptionist closer to the unwell side, and asked if she knew how much longer it would be. I have a lot of patience at doctors office, but thought an hour was a bit excessive.

Well… turns out the rude, nasty receptionist on the other side never checked us in nor informed anyone I had arrived. So 5 minutes after I talked to the other receptionist, a medical assistant took us back. And when the nasty receptionist saw me talking to the other receptionist too and rolled her eyes and laughed to herself! It was beyond rude.

Then I saw the doctor, she gave me an even worse, condescending attitude about everything. She asked what brought us in today after my daughter gave the urine specimen and they got the results in. I said I believed she had a UTI, and explained her complaints of symptoms. She then mockingly asked where I “came to that conclusion”. I mentioned the test kit we purchased came up positive. The doctor then said with an attitude that I was wrong, the kit was wrong, and told me to simply give her more water because “kids that don’t drink enough water have symptoms of UTI that aren’t caused by bacteria”, and that she refuses to prescribe antibiotics for her. Ok, for one, my kid drinks plenty of water, and two, she could of just said in a KIND manner that the test came up negative and the home test must of caused a false positive. You know, like a normal, unpretentious human being. It was rude and the last straw for me there.

Also this place insists it’s my responsibility to pay my daughters co-pay when it’s in my custody agreement he pay all medical bills. And they tried to bomb my credit score because of it.

Switching to my other children’s doctors office in Chambersburg ASAP because she is due for her well child appointment soon.

The Doctors there are great! But when you have to call in during business hours, you are usually on hold for at least half and hour before you talk to anyone.

We love our provider Michelle Melville, in the very beginning she didn’t have space for our baby but she made space for him; she’s always sharp and on point with her diagnosis. Our baby was sick and she was booked so we had to take him to the other location to see another provider whom was not very thorough. We ended up sending another message on the portal and she saw the baby that very same day and she was able to treat the baby and figure out what is wrong with him. I recommend her 100%.
Thank you for always taking the best care for our child!

I just moved here from Florida and things are very different. I messed up my appointment and had a hard time enrolling him and they picked me up from every back step I had. Even when I was rude from stress, they helped and stayed friendly. I appreciate them and suggest them to anyone.

The pediatrician we saw was completely unprofessional and unfriendly. Completely dismissive of concerns. Disappointing to say the least.

I'd rather not waste my time calling or filling out a survey to speak to someone in a call center in a different country when nothing will be done or changed. I'll just go elsewhere.

I love our Provider so much, I love the nurses, and staff, but since I’ve started taking my son here I’ve noticed several things. Trying to schedule an appointment is next to impossible. You will be waiting before, and during your appointment for extreme periods of time, and now when the phone lines are busy you can only leave a voice Mail where they “will get back to you in the next business day” I’ve been trying to schedule a sick visit for 2 hours. Called multiple different lines through Upmc, contacted doctors on the portal, etc.my biggest advice would be to get more help with receptionist and nurses in the office. Last time their was one nurse working, she was extremely worn out (very kind and attentive), but definitely needed more help. Please look into hiring more help. Receptionists are always overwhelmed too

Only reason I’m even giving two stars is because I enjoy their doctors especially Burks. She’s just a wonderful doctor, but the front desk is awful! You call and don’t get a call back. When you wait on hold, they take at least 30 minutes to even answer but every time I go in, they are just talking to each other. It’s also impossible to get a sick appointment even when you call as soon as they open. I always end up having to go to urgent care. Just because of the front desk, I’m currently looking for a different pediatric office.

Edited to add that I requested a call back on Monday the 13th at 12: 30 and it’s now Tuesday the 14th (1: 10pm) and still no call back.

Don't send your kids here! This place is falling apart ever since UPMC took over. My daughter turned 8 in January and she still hasn't had a physical, it's March. I book physicals a year in advance. They rescheduled me 3 times and one of the 3 times, they scheduled me at the Harrisburg location. I never once agreed to this nor have I ever visited this location. If you have an extra 20 minutes to spare, than you won't mind being placed on hold to schedule an appointment. Do yourself a favor and find a different pediatrician, I will be doing the same.

Don't take your children here! Literally go anywhere else. Dr. Angelvova shouldn't have a license. My daughter was diagnosed with a medical problem in 2021 and she fail to explain it to me or referred us to the correct doctor. 2022 same thing. Thank God for penn state doctor. And getting an attorney!

I’ve been coming here for 4.5 years and the front desk always disappoints. They are so rude and always act annoyed, even if all you are doing is checking your kid in. The only reason I continue coming is because I love the nurses and my children’s doctor. It’s painful being there until you get back to your room. Night and day difference.

This place is an absolute mess and I will never recommend you bring your child here. Dr Burks is by far the best, she listens and takes what you say into consideration. She has never misdiagnosed my child. I’m sad to go because we loved her. But I’ve given this practice too many chances. Every time I needed a sick visit it was an absolute disaster to get one so most of the doctors. The only schedule same day and refuse to schedule for the next leaving you to take your child to an urgent care or a hospital. When you call and tell them that they misdiagnosed your child they don’t care and would rather just send your child back to daycare/school. Waiting for the appointments you already scheduled is an even worse nightmare. I waited 45 minutes for just 4 vaccines not even a doctor to see my child. I also waited over an hour for a well visit. One time as I am in the waiting room for a sick visit there’s an 8 year old asking if it’s his turn yet. (Dad stated it had been 40 minutes) the reason they are so late in appointments is because they over book and don’t have the staff nor space to hold these appointments. A 20 minute appointment for a child is not enough especially when adults get 30.

My rating is for the Front-office team and the Management not for Doctors or Nurses.
1) If you have a newborn and need to establish new care then stay away.
2) Getting an appointment for a sick kid is a pain. You got to have influence someone who works at Front-office. Nepotism culture.
Stay away! One of the worst pediatric care in this area.

Never receive a callback and need to get my child into the doctors and they filled the spot that they said they were going to give me.
