UPMC Urgent Care Harrisburg

Couldn’t be happier with my service, honestly! There was a bit of a wait (wasn’t extremely long, just 32w and not so patient lol). I was turned away by a lot providers because of being pregnant and my pcp not having any appointments available for days. Once being seen, the physician had remarkable bedside manner. We live in a crazy world, I thought everyone lost their kindness. I applaud the back staff, thank you ever sooooo kindly!

This place will let you die before you go inside and they have a look, I had a minor cut and I was bleeding so I went in to get stitches and they took 45 minutes to see me. DO NOT GO THERE.

Won't prescribe antibiotics for anything. I guess you have to go to a real doctor to get those.

I had to take my mother here to rebandage a wound from a fall she had. The PA, Kelly, took her oxygen level and told me that I was improperly administering her oxygen. I told her that her that our family Doctor, also with UPMC, had instructed that I take her oxygen level, and if it drops below 90, to administer it to bring it back to 90. Kelly said that she should be on oxygen at all times. As a result of this, and unbeknownst to me, she called the county agency on aging. They came with the Police that evening, knocking on the door and ringing the bell after my Mother went to bed. As a result of this, they found nothing wrong with the way my mother has been treated. The only remaining issue is the flashbacks to surviving the Holocaust that the visit from the authorities has caused. Why didn't she contact our Family Doctor before causing nightmares for my Mother?

They wouldn't see me unless I paid an old $440.00 bill from the UPMC hospital in Carlisle, despite the fact I was in serious pain! They care about the money first is their policy!

My son was treated here with the best care, the Dr.was young and patient! Very informative as far as explaining the procedure to him. Friendly staff.

Was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. Kelly McCracken was awesome! She explained everything clearly and simply and was very honest about what was known and unknown with my issue. WAY better experience than going to my primary care physician or to the ER. Will definitely come back here if I need anything.

I was told to go there by the regular upmc phoneservice where my child is a patient. It is miles out from where we live.
Soon as we arrive, we find out that their urgent care doesn't accept her insurance. Ironically, the same insurance used for her other upmc visits. What a confusion!
What a dysfunction!

Very unprofessional PA-C! Front desk staff, not so nice. Only saving grace was nursing staff. Would not recommend! Got more info from internet

I was seen and taken care of fast and with amazing care! Dave sanchez took care of me he was the PA-C on shift, all I can see is he cares about the patient so much and he is amazing! I wish all doctors were like him! I highly recommend this place if you’re not feeling well!

Great, caring staff. Very kind and all great listeners. If you are in need of medical care, that would be my first stop.

Went in for a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening. Despite having a pretty large staff, this facility is slow getting you from the lobby to the patient area. On my first visit, I waited in the lobby 30 minutes after filling out paperwork, even though I was the first person in the door when they opened. I had to provide two ‘samples’, because the person conducting the drug screening didn’t keep the remainder (after filling LabCorp vials) for the in-house health tests. They also didn’t administer a requested TB test, which was luckily caught by the receptionist on my way out. On a subsequent visit, they managed to lose a document faxed (and confirmed) by my employer the previous day. Some of the staff is a bit rude, too. Just because someone’s there for a drug test, doesn’t mean you treat them like a criminal.

I’m visiting from out of town and they did a tremendous job helping me with an ongoing health issue. Listened very well and treated me effectively. Everyone was friendly and positive.

They helped me quickly, were very kind and made sure I was comfortable with my situation. The PA listened to me thoroughly and were able to understand and come up with a good idea of what was happening to me.

Had an amazing experience in this office! Brett did an excellent job stitching up my hand and the doctors/staff are always extremely friendly and professional!

My wife walked in with severe back pain. She walked back out before I could text the family. I highly recommend this place.

Went there for stitches after a motorcycle accident, I was seen quickly, thoroughly checked out, very happy with the care I received. The young man who treated me and did my sutures was very professional and competent. I would definitely recommend them.

This place has the nicest staff. They are very efficient and mindful of the patient. I was in & out in a short period of time. Thanks to all involved it was a pleasure to have such food care.

No appointment needed; minimal or no wait time; treated by a provider who has been very professional every time I came to ABC.
