I visited the ER on Oct 16. I was on vacation and away from home and UPMC made my experience so comfortable. Check in greeted me so friendly and with empathy for the pain I was experiencing. I waited less than 5 minutes before they took me back and gave me a bed. All the nurses were wonderful, Nancy was with me almost the whole time. They listened and tended to my pain to be sure I was comfortable. Dr. Lee was very attentive to my pain and had lots of suggestions for treatment and pain relief. I felt like I really mattered and I know they were really busy. I wish they were closer, I would return here if I ever needed ER attention again.

Came here a few times for some minor issues but over the last year or so this place seems to have changed drastically on what is being said about it within the community and good things are not being said. Something has changed here. People? Staff? I don't know. Hopefully I won't find out

Worst medical experience I have ever had. They took 3 hours for a single covid test. When asked how much longer for the nurse replied "ha, youre guess is as good as mine" when I finally was treated. The dr had minimal effort to help and was preoccupied by other things including a phone call during my exam. Completely unprofessional and unorganized. Would rather have had Mercy flight take me to U of R, at least they have quality care for their patients.

If you have a choice go anywhere else but here. The nurses were great the doctors are horrible.

Absolutely rude nurses and the doctors are incompetent. Wasted my time in the waiting room for 4 hours for them to waste my time and energy for another 4 hours. Do not recommend.

Your paramedic Scott is very rude, I called Tuesday for seizures activity. He keeps saying this is not a seizures that it was low blood sugar which was 122. And said this was not his first day on the job and he know what he talking about. I was in seizures activity for over 1/2hour.
There are a lot of different type of seizures. Yes you can be alert and still be in seizures activity mode.
Unless he a licensed neurologist he shouldn't be telling people that.

I have left a review before about Dr. Ly Hao, but I’m leaving another review because it’s necessary. I went to the ER. I have all kinds of kidney stones, chronically. I’ve been to the ER before for them. This man refused to treat my kidney stone pin despite blood in my urine, and an ultrasound showing 6 stones. He refused to even tell me I had the stones. The person who reads the ultrasounds did. He played on the computer the whole time. Gave me NOTHING for two hours. I ended up leaving with no pain control afterwards. So, I have to go to my doctor. She sees my stones. She takes my urine. And I eventually pass said stone and turn it in. This man gave me the diagnosis of, “menstrual cramps, ” and so, I decided to contact patient relations because he not only was wrong about my diagnosis. He was rude, unhelpful, and not at all thorough. So, I tell them my traumatic story, because it was traumatic to me and patient relations, Britney Smith, acted like she was going to help me. She was apologetic. Then I get a letter saying my treatment was appropriate. So, I call her back, and she is RUDE. Dismissive and acted as though this issue was my fault. I asked what else I could do because this man will end up harming more people. She refused to give me information of the medical director. She refused to take in my proof that he was wrong in my diagnosis. She didn’t care whatsoever. She treated me like I was less than her.less than decent treatment really. So, all in all, you will not receive accurate treatment, first of all. They will also not even care if the treatment you receive is wrong and traumatizing. The patient relations is a joke. She is not there to help you, she is there to protect the doctors obviously. I honestly am shocked. I have proof of mistreatment, misdiagnosis that lead to pain and suffering (unnecessary pain and suffering because I told him from the start what the issue was), and I HIGHLY recommend never going here. They don’t care. They just want to get rid of you. I’ve never had a problem before with this hospital, but the treatment of not only doctor Hoa, but the person who’s supposed to help ME, Britney, was unbelievably unacceptable. I will continue to leave reviews until this hospital takes it seriously and either retrains these people, or gets rid of them completely.

Came in severely sick with pancreatitis and a gallbladder that needed removed after giving birth to my daughter. They figured it out and I was hospitalized for over a week and they took all the right steps to nurse me back to health and perform surgery. Wellsboro has a bad rep but I’m honestly very thankful I ended up there. The doctors were very compassionate and the nurses did everything they could to help.

The doctor in the ER seemed rushed & actually missed the issue (the specialist he referred us too found the issue & my husband had relief within minutes). The ER nurse Kathy, she had no bedside manners. We were shocked how rude she was. (She is DEFINITELY in the wrong profession). As for hospital itself, it was nice and clean.

Hospital itself is good and so isn't the people. Except for the lady that sits at the little table by the information center. She is rude and should not be able to work around people. The way she treated the people who came in with their own masks on was ridiculous. At one point she even blocked someone from going to the outpatient registration center because they had on their own mask.

I sat with my 92 yr old father in er waiting room for over 4 hours without making it into actual er. I finally went to Troy guthrie er where my father was treated. He has a severe uti and was in significant pain. Anybody knows uti's can turn septic very quickly. Although I inquired 3 times over the delays, I was not able to get any traction with er staff. Don't trust them if you are ill. There seems to be a real disconnect between taking care of people and realities of those who have to go to ERs
