I had an issue that the Urgent Care recommended I follow up with my PCP to get treatment. When calling to try to be seen, a nurse told me that they "don't see sick patients in the office. " My only option was to go to ER or for her to schedule a Televisit. She also said that it's not her that sets the policy, so it's a management decision to not help sick customers. Call me old-fashioned but I thought a PCP main duty was to see and help sick patients. Will never go back again.

I contacted My doctor because of having a sinus headache. I did not have any other cover symptoms. I made a appointment to be seen the office changed my appointment to a video appointment which is ridiculous cause how are nasal passages, a throat, ears to be looked at through a video. USE YOUR COVID PROVIDED PROTECTIVE GEAR AND SEE PATIENTS. I decided to go to urgent care I tested NEGATIVE to covid. I was prescribed Sudafed WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND JOKE. 3 days pass I contact my PCP to please call Me in a antibiotic to help my head congestion and so I can get back to work. I am told cannot do unless I have a video appointment which there were not any available until the following week. What a crock this is. THERE ARE STILL NORMAL SINUS INFECTIONS, FLU, COLDS GOING ON BESIDES COVID. I'm so glad I pay a complete boatload of money every month to UPMC for insurance for advice I could just give myself. I will be getting another PCP. Last note that one star given was above and beyond what should have been given.

If you have a history of Trauma, PTSD, depression, obesity, and/or a disability of any kind, steer clear of Dr. Koday. She is not trauma-informed and she engages in discrimination and victim blaming. She will refuse to fill out paperwork you may need for adaptive equipment and/or a disabled parking permit renewal. Rather than reading your chart and medical history before walking into the room, she asks insulting questions and makes outrageous assumptions that having read your chart would have dispelled. You (like all of us) deserve empathy. Koday's bedside manner is not just unkind, it's un-American.

The trick with Valley Family Medicine is choosing the right care provider. Do not try to speak to the "on-call" physician if that person is a physician you have never met. Even though all of the physicians in this practice are licensed to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania, that does not mean that they all care about you. At least three physicians with whom I have interacted have the bedside manner of a toad. I had occasion to contact the on-call physician early in February due excruciating abdominal pain, and that person ended up being Dr. Mark Morrissey. I was in nearly unbearable pain because of organ failure in my gallbladder (it had already been tested at less than 5% function). The reason I called was to find out which kind of pain medication would be the best for me to take under these circumstances. He advised me to take Tylenol, which provided absolutely no relief. The pain I was experiencing was equivalent in level to being in labor (I've given birth to two kids). A few days after I spoke with him, I had to have my gallbladder taken out and was hospitalized for 4 days due to serious post-op complications. I will always remember how Dr. Morrissey showed little to no compassion when I called. Regardless of whatever his competency level is as a physician, he was utterly heartless in communicating with me. By sharp contrast, the physician I see in the practice, Dr. Rachel Wolfe, is consistently devoted to the wellness and care of her patients, as is Dr. Ramey Ka Yan Roppel.

I recently accompanied a client of mine to her appt, and i wouldnt even take my dog there.this had to be one of the most poorly organized offices ive ever been too.the lady at the front desk was very rude not only to me and my client but also to a patient she took a call from.then there was some guy in the back office singing very loudly.and the worst was the old lady who checked us out, she found herself to be amusing but i personally thought she was very sarcastic and annoying.i would not recommend this practice to anyone, trying to encourage my home health client to find a new physician

Dr. Vasil and the office staff at Emerling Plaza are great! He is one of the only doctors who takes the time to listen to you, takes you serious, and sends you for all testing in regards to your issue, so no table is left unturned. If you need a prescription refill or prior authorization, almost 100% of the time it is done that day. If your doctor isnt available you have alot of options with some other great doctors.

My physician, Dr Kodey works here & is one of the finest doctors I have ever visited. I actually only go to the doctor because she is so good. I highly recommend her & this great care center. There is onsite testing as well as an x-ray facility.
