Valley Green Inn, Philadelphia PA

Food is definitely Delicious and I will be back for more! The Truffle fries were the best fries I’ve ever had! This is my Go-to place! Ps. (They make a better Chicken sandwich than Popeyes, and that’s saying something lol). I went back to the Valley Green inn and I just left the Valley Green Inn with no food because I brought my own glass bowl for my takeout because I don’t like Styrofoam. I was told by the young woman that the kitchen wouldn’t use my bowl but had to use Styrofoam! I really enjoy the food and was going to spend $50.00 or so on lunch but I guess I have to find a place to use my glass instead of Styrofoam! Today is 8/23/22 @1: 30pm. I would think that this place wouldn’t use Styrofoam because of all the ducks that surround the place.

Wow! This place is a literally a hidden gem in the Greater Philadelphia area. This place was perfect since we were hiking on the Wissahickon Trail. I had the best Caesar Salad and the service was excellent. Everyone who dined with me enjoyed their food as well.

My husband and I received a recommendation to go here for dinner while visiting Philadelphia. The food was absolutely delicious! It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. We loved the atmosphere and the ambiance of the inn. It was quiet and full of charm. The staff were polite and a joy to work with. I would definitely recommend them and we will most likely be back next time we are in the area.

I love valley Green inn because of the scenery and the atmosphere I think the restaurant is a little overrated with the overrated prices third time I've been there and been disappointed with the food don't think I'm going to make it a fourth

I ordered Bloody Mary today but it had no alcohol in it. I believe 12$ is too much for ice, water a tomato juice, or they should have mentioned that that particular “cocktail” is nonalcoholic. The second star is for the Burger which was really good.

We only stopped by here for some snacks and using the restrooms. Lots of people park here to hike on the valley but weekends can be very hard to find spots and getting out could be quite crowded.

The restaurant looks very nice and I am sure you would enjoy dining here with views of the running river.

The menu sounded great and the space is beautiful, so it’s a shame that the service was a complete let down.

My wife and I made reservations for 7, a full hour before the listed closing. We showed up and were seated pretty quickly, but that was it. When I say that was it, I mean we sat and waited (read: were ignored) for about 20 minutes before deciding to go somewhere else. There were other tables near us, all of them got food or were otherwise acknowledged by, well, anyone.

Really disappointing and honestly, I’d think twice before *trying* to go back here.

A cozy old inn in the heart of the Wissahickon. I recommend following up a hike with lunch or dinner. Food is good, nothing to write home about but drinks were reasonable and the experience is good. The staff wasn’t entirely sure about gluten in the dish but did her best. I rarely order fries so this was a treat that left me disappointed. Perhaps the cook had an off night but I cut them some slack after the pandemic. We’ll be back because the location can’t be beat.

We went here for a wedding and WOW! This space is awesome. The food was incredible. The scenery and wildlife was beautiful. They had a little fire pit, games, indoor/outdoor space. Truly an awesome place for a wedding on the smaller side. 10/10!

Delicious meal in a beautiful location. My sister and I both had salmon, prepared two different ways. Both were absolutely excellent, and the price was extremely reasonable.

I just dont like it. Not really my kind of place. Food is ok but way over priced. It may be other people's dream spot but not for me

Stop and eat here. The food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. A beautiful interior and lovely exterior. It’s a win/win. My husband got the salmon and I the french roasted chicken. (I substituted the brussels sprouts for green beans). We cleared our plates and have not stopped about wanting to go back and take family & friends so they can have the same wonderful experience!

A step back in time to an historic inn on the banks of the Wissahickon creek. Sat on the porch and watched the children feed the ever hungry geese, then took a long walk on the wide horse trail and stopped to look at a small waterfall. It is a very quiet forest in the heart of the city. Free parking.

Been in the area over 20 years and never went here. It was delicious and so beautiful both inside and out. Just a lovely, peaceful setting. Service was excellent too! Definitely recommend.

I went hiking and stopped here after to grab a drink. Someone bought something and left right before I walked up. After standing there for ~5 minutes, an employee walked up and rudely told me they were closed. After checking the time, I must've walked up right at the time they closed. Prices are also expensive, so I know next time to just bring a water bottle with me.

What can we say other than PERFECT! This was one of the first places we looked at for our wedding venue and we knew immediately that this is where we were going to get married. Amber is everything we could have dreamed of in a wedding coordinator and more, and the rest of the staff is top notch. From the moment we signed our contract, Amber made sure the planning process was as smooth as could be. She is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. On the day of the wedding she made sure everything was perfect and we felt so taken care of from start to finish. On top of all of that, the venue itself is beautiful and unique. It is such a hidden gem and we love that we get to walk by our wedding venue every time we go for a walk in the park.

My family loves long walks on this nature trail! It's a beautiful location & people are friendly! Definitely check it out!
