Vantage removed all my personal belongings from my room WITHOUT MY PERMISSION after i renewed my lease for 2020-2021. After a month of Vantage dragging me along saying they were gonna "rein-burst" me, they emailed me saying that maybe my old roommates stole everything with them before they left. BUT I went into the room after they officially moved out and my stuff was still there. DO NOT LEASE HERE. Vantage and their management don't care about their residents, they only care about money and will do whatever to get every dime out of you.

I lived here last year and I have to say, Vantage did not handle the pandemic well at all. Even the new residents this year were not happy with the dorm-like rules put in place, all though it is best for everyone’s safety, they cannot enforce rules not in the lease. They had no consideration for all of us that had to leave and considering we had no access to amenities, we could’ve gotten some kind of refund.the hallways always smell like weed and we would have security knock on our door threatening to write us up if the hallway smelt of it, even though it was clear that it was coming from other rooms and not us. Along with that, the staff is EXTREMELY rude.i have not had one good experience with a staff member, especially the student staff, most are extremely unprofessional and rude.although there is a beautiful view, this is a complete waste of money.and a terrible experience.

Vantage was a safe place to live but the management team and greediness has led me to leave two stars. The list goes on and on, from closing all the amenities and not reducing rent, to not allowing my family to come into my apartment because of their Covid guest policy, to my latest complaint. I started getting charges on my bank account for TV subscriptions, did some research, and find out the people living in my old apartment were charging things to my bank account through Roku. The TV in the apartment was never reset and all of our accounts and bank information were still linked up to it. After calling Vantage, I was told no refund could be given since it was not their fault. They said they would contact the new tenants, so I asked when I would hear back from them about logging out of things. They said there would no reason to call back. It's my fault for assuming Vantage would have done something to prevent this. I would also like to point out there was nothing of this sort on the move-out list. Vantage only cares about getting money from college students and does not care at all for their tenants.

My son and two friends moved into a Vantage apartment in September after their dorm at Temple University effectively shut down. The move needed to happen quickly and it required a lot of communication with staff at the building to learn about the options. After some initial miscommunication and complaints about it on my part, the staff was attentive and responsive and my son and his friends moved in. Rather than get defensive, they made a big effort to address our concerns. The apartment and common areas in the building are beautiful, the staff is helpful and accessible, and I am thrilled that my son is able to live in such a great place. I recommend highly!

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. The staff they have working in their office act as if you are a burden on their time. Vantage has no consideration or moral value for the tenants living in their building during a time where many Americans have been hit financially. They pressured students (constant calling/ sending emails) to sign a lease for this school year, when the world was completely normal. Vantage sent out an email May 20, stating students would have 7 days to terminate their leases if the president of Temple declared classes fully online. While, Temple’s president has finally made the decision to move classes strictly online- Vantage does not want to live up to their agreement. They used the excuse of “well that offer expired”- Which is completely inaccurate due to the email not providing any start or end date to when the offer applied to. This apartment building is not interested in accommodating or looking out for the well being of their tenants. They are more interested in taking your money and leaving you out to dry.
The staff working at Vantage also is very rude and ignorant to their rules and policies. My dad called inquiring about information. Then I called after him to see if I would get the same answer as him, and we got two completely different responses. Train your staff better, accommodate for your tenants, and have some moral values, and maybe this would be a half decedent place to live at.
Please consider other options before you consider giving this place a single penny.

The only off-campus, private apartment complex restricting guests to zero or one. PARENTS: Take your business to University Village, Kardon Atlantic, or The Nest. The corruption of this place didn't start here - read older reviews as well not pertaining to the guest policy. Terrible, terrible management and ownership (aka Asset Living and The Goldenberg Group)

Update September-03-2020: Temple university went 100% online, we have an email from Vantage that if Temple university goes 100% then Vantage will refund our money. We called but Vantage refused to refund our money. I guess court is next step.worst management, i would not recommend anyone to rent. During COVID-19 they are ripping off students.

Update: Aug-28-2020. Recieved threatening letter from vantage management to pay full year rent in advance else mgmt will report our account to collection. Just for clarification, we are paying our rent ontime every month even we are not living there since March 2020.

Now we are reporting this letter to congressman and Senators.

Vantage is full of scum.

I can’t believe they are taking away tenants rights and not letting any visitors! As long as people are following the guidelines, I don’t understand the issue! How are you supposed to tell tenants they can’t have their own parents there if they are healthy and wearing a mask? This is such an unjust and unlawful guest policy! Would not recommend!

This place is terrible. The WiFi has been down 3 times during class already, the workers are mean, and the maintenance staff doesn’t fix anything. Never ever live here.

While I agree with most of the criticisms by other reviewers and tenants, I would like to write about a different aspect of the building.

Vantage (and subsequently The View at Montgomery) are not in any regard handicap-friendly buildings. My focus here will be on Vantage, because this is the building I reside in and move throughout daily. The "split" design of the two towers, west and east, create ungainly travel back and forth via the "bridge, " which only spans the height of 7 floors; for reference, the west building is 12 floors, and the east is 18. I only state this to allude to what I will say next, in order to expand on the general understanding that because of the building's unchangeable physical design, the implementation of accessibility is imperative where possible elsewhere.

Out of the three main entrances (east tower and west tower entrances in parking lot [2] and main entrance on N 12th St [1]), none of the doors are automatic opening. While the ADA does not currently mandate automatic doors, only "accessible" doors which are of a minimum width and slow closing, disabled persons with walkers and wheelchairs will find extreme difficulty in all three ingress/egress points at this building. All external doors are pull to open and none are automatic opening. I believe this information is important to prospective tenants and/or guests of tenants who may be differently abled and struggle with opening doors on their own. I'm hoping Vantage will bite the bullet and invest in 1 automatic opening door at each of the three entrances, but I won't hold my breath after reading the other reviews. Thank you for reading.

I’ve lived at both the View and Vantage over the past 3 years. At the View, I had a phenomenal experience. Ever since moving to Vantage, my roommates and I have been met with obstacles from office staff/management that have been incredibly hard to come by. Many incidents have troubled me, but most recently, there have been two apartments on my floor that have thrown parties with 15+ people, all not wearing masks. I called security immediately to diffuse the situation, in which they hung up on me mid-sentence and never came up to address the tenants. I reached out to the office staff, who was so incredibly rude and vindictive towards me, told me that I “should have kept calling. ” I said “how is this a solution? ” He said I should email him with photo proof of it happening, and then he can send it to the manager (which they do not ACTUALLY have right now, yes, they fired all of their management team and have a “standing agent” right now). In college living situations, it’s reasonable to expect the unexpected, but this building’s management is an atrocity. Ill-informed, constantly rude and condescending, poor communicators and VERY unprofessional. Depending on who you talk to (office staff/security guard) you will ALWAYS get different answers regardless of the situation. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, even if you paid me, especially since their promotion of money off of rent for referring somebody is a hoax-you’ll never get the money, and they will just say that there never existed such a special (look at your website?).

I would give Vantage 0 Stars if I could. They are profiting from the pandemic and are not allowing students the option to get out of their lease, even though they reassured us that we could get out of the lease if Temple went virtual. They are liars. I hope no one leases from them next year. After this year, they will not get another dime from me. They are setting a bad example and ruining Temple's name. If Temple had any sympathy for their students they should step in and mandate action.

Horrible management. The only thing they’re considering is their profits. Take your money somewhere else.

Honestly an awful place to live. This place picks and chooses when it wants to be a dorm and when to be an apartment based on what is convenient for them. In the lease, it says nowhere that they can revoke our rights to having people over to OUR room that we are paying for, yet they said no visitors are allowed and removed all amenities without lowering rent, which is extremely overpriced. They still have not given WiFi out to residents, when this is on a school campus, with online classes. The management is extremely rude and only wants your money. They are only nice until you sign a lease, they have no respect for the residents whatsoever. The only high ratings on here are the ones written by management, they even give out gift cards if you give a nice review. Do not sign a lease here, you will regret it.

Vantage has a serious issue with enforcing rules and regulations in their building that do not match the agreement made between Vantage and the tenant in the lease, in particular their guest policies. Residents pay a lot of rent for a great place to live, but pay way too much to stay true to their lease agreement while Vantage continues to disregard that agreement. It’s an embarrassment and disrespectful.

I lived at Vantage last year and decided to transfer to a different unit this year. I got an email 2 weeks before my transfer date where I got to sign up for a time of my own choosing to have my new room keys hand delivered to me. The email specifically states “It is very important for you to BOOK YOUR TRANSFER APPOINTMENT”. I signed up for the 8 am time slot. I moved back home because of the pandemic and drove an hour back to Temple on my move in day and waited for my new keys in my old apartment at 8 in the morning. After waiting for 30 minutes and having no one come to my apartment, I tried calling the office multiple to ask what was up, and no one ever answered. Once it was 9: 30, a full hour and a half after my keys were supposed to be delivered, I decided to physically walk down to the office and ask for my keys. It was only after I physically got to talk to someone that I was told that my room wasn’t ready for me to move in to yet and that my room would be ready at 1 pm. A whole 5 hour difference. I quite literally did not sign up to wait in my apartment for 5 extra hours. I was never emailed, called, told, or notified in ANY way prior to my move in date that my room would not be ready for me by the time that I signed up for. It was also extremely frustrating to see so many Vantage workers just sitting in the office after I attempted to call them multiple times and have all of my calls be ignored. I pay way too much money to this place just to be treated like I literally don’t even exist. This was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and should have never happened.

I pay an ungodly amount to live here. It is not associated with any university and they have no right to limit the number of guests we get to bring in! DOWN WITH VANTAGE!

The guest policy of Vantage is simply unruly. They’re taking away the tenets rights and it’s unlawful and unjust. Something needs to change! It’s unacceptable.
