Vecchia Nuova reviews
16The pizza was larger than I expected but delicious. It was the first time I had buffalo mozzarella.
Salad and pizza were quite good. Service was friendly but slow. If you are ready to relax and enjoy your food then you will enjoy this place.
The food is honestly underwhelming, the pizza is very chewy and tasteless and the service is sub-standard. I would not go back to this place or even recommend it to anyone. The pictures looked OK but then when I actually tried it I realized how much waste of time and money this dining experience was. The girl at the front is so slow to deal with and very rude too
Very good Italian style pizza restaurant! The pizza is definitely Italian style and it’s extremely tasty! The vegan marinara pizza is great! Definitely worth checking out.
Last night was my first visit under the new ownership and the experience was poor.
We ordered takeout pizza. We picked up the pizza roughly 20 minutes after placing the order. As I was carrying it back to the car I noticed the boxes were not that hot. My guess is it’s because the takeout pizzas were placed on the front window sill and not on a heated device or top of an oven once they came out of the oven.
As we dug into the pizza, we were disappointed in the taste and presentation. The pies were made unevenly. Really thick crust, very thin in the middle. Lots of dough, very little sauce.
We order a Regina Margherita and a Vodka pizza. There was very little difference in flavor between the two.
Overall this was a disappointing experience. We loved this place under the previous ownership, but most likely wil not be returning again.
On my son’s recommendation, we went to Vecchia Nuova for the first time. The atmosphere is warm, the food is excellent, and the service is great. A wonderful night out.
Very, very good pizza. Similar to how it’s done in Italy, they only do ‘personal’ sizes, but it’s fairly priced and well portioned.
The crust is excellent, sauce and cheese are good as well. Both the margarita and vodka pies were very good. Excited to try more.
THE BEST EVERYTHING
BEYOND Yummy
I give it the Michelin five star review the best
This place has the best pizza in a 20 mile radius at LEAST. Not just pizza either, their menu is small but loaded with great options.
Vecchia has some of the best pizza and food in the area. Although, it's small size makes for a great atmosphere I'd just recommend making a reservation if you plan on going during the weekend as they can get pretty busy.
By far the best authentic pizza in the area. I took a trip through Northern Italy, and though the pizza was very good, it still doesn’t compete with Vecchia. The commitment to genuine, organic ingredients and delivering an intimate, inviting environment is unmatched. Will be a customer for life!
Very unique, & delicious. A light, airy crust on our fresh mozzarella margherita pizza, the sauce was perfect & the cheese was soft & melt in your mouth.
This place hits the mark every time. Each and every dish is so cozy and satisfying, and you can feel the though that went into the curating and preparation of the ingredients. Even after returning from a 3 week trip to Italy we craved this light and crispy Neapolitan pizza our whole flight home. Nothing else quite like it. The fried artichokes are spectacular, not greasy, and make the perfect appetizer. The pastas are all delicious in their own right, the spaghetti limone puts a smile on my face every time, a simple staple you can depend on. The reverse affogato dessert is the kind of delight one can only dream about haha. You need to try it. Leaving without one feels like a cardinal sin. The best part of this place is the owner Evan who greets everyone like an old friend and puts so much care into the experience of this ambient little Italian restaurant and making sure every dish is authentic. If I could give it 100 stars I would.
Just moved here recently from South Philly and finally found a place with amazing pizza! It’s consistently perfect every single time. Super flavorful and the crust is pure heaven. Usually get it delivered but picked up a couple of times and the staff has always been pleasant. They went above and beyond on a recent delivery and it’s much appreciated. You don’t get service like that anymore so I’m happy they’re right around the corner.
Very good pizza and pasta. Manager is excellent and makes sure your party is taken care of
