Veekoo Asian Cuisine reviews
16Went for dinner with a friend. They were busy so we expected a wait, but there was none. Service was brisk, efficient and courteous. Ambience was very relaxing and intimate despite the full house. The food was excellent, especially the pad thai which balanced a tangy sauce with the smoky savor of grilled shrimp, and the chrysanthemum tea which was a lovely delicate floral flavor. We look forward to our next visit. Highly recommended.
Our favorite place for family style meals! Definitely make reservations, this location is smaller than their sister restaurant in Berwyn, and there is always a line waiting to get it. Our fav go-to dishes: jumbo shrimp in mayo honey, peking duck (half is enough for 6 people), salted baked three treasure, and chicken lo mein (husband loves it). For sushi definitely get the fancy dragon roll and sunflower roll! It's BYOB which I always appreciate. Waiters are very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking and if you're hankering for something sweet afterwards, Handel's ice cream is less than a mile away!
Although very hospitable and welcoming there was a false advertisement issue regarding their menu prices We spent $75 but they felt it was appropriate to approach me about a $3 side of rice which according to their menu in black and white was $1 extra. Absolutely ridiculous! You do not approach a customer over something that petty. Is this a corner chinese store or a cuisine? You're better off just charging me and if its something I feel the need to address I will. Conversation made me feel uncomfortable for the rest of my time there, over a $2 discrepancy!? Hope it was worth the bad review and loss of business.
Also duck was quite dry!
A great sushi restaurant! It takes an awfully experienced sushi professional to make a meal like the one we just had at Veekoo!
It was my 70th birthday and my daughter took my wife and I out for lunch!
The sushi chefs at Veekoo are really good. Their skills are really high. Their sushi rolls and sauces are exceptional. Beauty is essential to successful sushi dining. Veekoo fits the bill. (Sake & Kirin really would have hit the spot!)
Great place for Asian food. Garlic Chicken was different than a local Chinese restaurant and I would do it again
Love this restaurant. This is my second visit and they never fail to disappoint me. Their sushi, Roman, red curry, spring roll, lettuce wrap etc.everything was cooked to perfection would certainly recommend it.
What a GREAT DINNER! Wonderful service! We got sushi rolls, whole Peking duck, General Tso's Chilean Sea Bass, Crispy noodles, shrimp fried rice, and chicken lo mein. Highly recommend
Best sushi in the area. Featuring Thai, Japanese, and Chinese food. Very clean, very nice atmosphere.
Good food. I've been there twice now. And it seems to be some of the better Asian food in the area. The portions could be a bit larger. That'd be my only complaint.
Sushi is delicious. Service is absolutely fabulous! Food comes out super quick and is much fancier than you expect it to be. Fancy restaurant but also very kid friendly.
An unassuming little restaurant in a strip mall. The menu had something for everyone. Typically sushi restaurants have a limited menu past the Sushi, not Veekoo. The menu was 5 pages long with an excellent variety of both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The sushi was very good, as were the rolls. Service was great and everyone was happy with their dinner. One note which I don’t see on their webpage, it’s BYOB. (No corkage fee.)
Best sushi/sashimi/rolls we've had hands down. Was a weekly regular for years until we moved. Missed them soo much planned a day just so we could get there for lunch!
Amazing Sushi! It was my first time there and its 30 minutes from my house but who cares! This is my new spot!
I was excited to try a new place for Mother’s Day and read all the positive reviews. I ordered food for the whole family. My mother and father enjoyed their meals of hunan beef and beef and broccoli. The kids had sweet and sour chicken but unfortunately the chicken was so dry inside they only had a few bites. The pork dumplings tasted like they had been sitting in the freezer for months. At almost 9$ for 6 dumplings I expected a lot more. I could literally drip the grease out from the spring rolls as well. I will not be ordering from here again. I feel like I had over priced frozen food.
Do not order the pad thai here until they change the recipe! They make it BLAND AF here. No tamarind puree, no fish sauce, no bean sprouts, no eggs, no scallions, no palm sugar and basically no seasoning. How could this be true? ! *@
I was looking forward to that sweet-savoury-sour sauce which they completely missed. I could've sworn it was just rice noodles with a little soy sauce and and a ton of sesame oil.
Dear owner please remake this dish right. Pad Thai is my very favorite and tonight I was very disappointed. Below is chicken pad thai which I am trying at your location for the 1st time.
I will stick to your sushi for now.
