VTI taught me more things than I could imagine. Because of VTI I have a job as a vet tech at a clinic I absolutely love. If it wasn’t for VTI I wouldn’t be able to be doing what I love everyday.

VTI had its ups and downs but in the end it made me a stronger person.

If you are thinking about joining VTI and are up for a challenge I highly recommend this school. There will be good and bad days, but if you use your resources wisely and find a good group of friends to surround yourself with to help you study, you will make it through! It is an 18 months program which may seem like a long time, but when you’re living in 8 week increments, time hardly exists. Before you know it you’ll be in your last semester!

Would recommend going here if you plan on becoming a CVT. After just a short 3 years I was certified. Only 18 months of which was spent at school. The rest was spent preparing for the test which honestly only took me so long because I had never worked in field. I did need to take the VTNE two times but I had never worked in a hospital setting only kennel situations. All the teachers really seem to have experience and tricks to help you pass the board in the end.

VTI has been truly amazing and the impact it had on me. I made lifelong friendships that anyone could ever ask for. Teachers became family and could talk to them about anything. Everyone there was always supportive and if you needed a shoulder was there for you. It was rough leaving school and heading on to the next adventure. But everyone was there with their kind words of encouragement and support on how you’re going to be doing amazing things in the veterinary field and that some days will be crappier than others but in the end it means the world to that pet on how much you’re doing for them to stay happy and healthy.

When looking for a school to do a Veterinary Technician program I had some things on my list of what I wanted. I’m from Long Island and not many schools out by me had the program. Going back to school at 27 I really didn’t want to waste time. I went to look at what accredited schools were available without the long hassle of 4 year school.
Pennsylvania wasn’t far and Vet Tech institute sounded like my perfect fit! 18 month program and classes that covered everything. Being a fast paced program, everyone from the admissions office to the front desk to the professors were absolutely there to help each and every one of us succeed in our program. I felt even thou many many students attended they took the time to get to know each of us and help us until out last day and even so made sure we graduated with everything we needed for our careers. Im happy with my school choice and gained so much more than a degree.the entire Pittsburgh experience is a part of me that I will keep forever.

VTI helped me retain information that was needed to pass the VTNE in hands on ways and better prepared me for entering the veterinary field. As a new graduate I felt confident working with others in a clinic setting because the school included team work in most projects and lessons. Many teachers genuinely cared about your success as a student and offered further help with topics that were difficult.

I had such a great experience with the teachers and staff. I felt very prepared to start my career with confidence and pass my VTNE the first time around. If you have the passion to work hard and are someone who is dedicated to their craft then VTI is the place for you. I would not recommend this program for anyone who is not serious about starting a career I’m veterinary medicine.

VTI is really a wonderful school. All the teachers genuinely care about your progress and how it affects your career path. The faculty as a whole are always willing to answer a question or direct you to who can answer best. It’s a very fast paced program that takes its mission to teach veterinary technology very seriously. Moreover they hammer home what really matters; the animals, the patients. Proper care comes first and that is the strongest lesson they provide throughout the entirety of the course. Everything there is aimed at patients and clients, as this is a serious care-oriented, skill-based career. Everyone is welcome to learn at VTI.

I graduated from VTI at the end of June 2022. I loved my experience there. Having been at a clinic as a Vet Tech for the past 6 months I feel like I was adequately prepared for being a Tech “out in the real world”. I feel that the majority of my instructors were tough but fair and always willing to explain things more thoroughly when I requested it. Overall I am very happy that I attended VTI and would definitely recommend anyone interested in being a Vet Tech/Vet Nurse look into going here.
