Via Bicycle reviews
15Kurt's the best, lots of vintage parts and very cheap. The Highest possible quality of service
Curtis is the man! Affordable, straight to the point, no gouging.great conversation and great wealth of knowledge regarding bikes. 10/10
Great place, the owner works wonders and is very informative and giving. Free oil and air for wheels and they’re always looking out for their customers.
Via bicycle is a shop that really cares about making sure that you get great service out of the shop and your bike. Couldn't be happier with my experience there. Even if you're not I'm the market for a bike, stop in to take a look around.
You might just learn something while you're there
When I lived in Philadelphia Via Bicycle is the only place I'd go for repair. Curtis and his guys didn't hard sell or up sell. They'd tell you what you need, price it fairly and deliver you a safe bike. As their plaque always said, They cheat everybody and pass the savings on to you!
Very pleasant experience. Also very nice people here and knowledgeable. Fixed a few things in a jiffy which would've taken me a week!
One sentence: it cost to be cheap.
Would not recommend, if purchasing a bike.poor customer service. Purchased a bike and the tire went flat within a week. Returned to shop to understand the ramifications, first reaction was I am not covering it.
Truly disappointed with the shop as I was recommended by a friend. When all said and done, purchase a bike new and deal with official bike shops.
The repair was fast but cost $50 for new back wheel.
I went to Via Bicycles to get my 10 year old bike looked at. I probably haven't ridden it in 5 years, so I thought it would need a lot of work. They did a really thorough exam of my bike- checked the chain, brakes, gears, etc- and came to the conclusion that all I need was air and oil. They didn't even charge me for it! I definitely will be coming back here with my bike. Thanks guys!
I recently started using my bike to commute to and from work and ended up at Via Bicycle for a tube replacement. From that day on, I decided to only give my business to Curtis and his team! The rates and service are great, but their dedication to customers is outstanding.
Curtis and his team were fantastic. I got my bike fixed up in and out quickly and efficiently and the service was down to earth, friendly, and genuine. Curtis is clearly a fixture of this community and this local-owned business is a wonderful place to give your support. He runs a great business and I saw many customers come pick up their bikes who are on all on a friendly first-name basis with Curtis and Co. 10/10 will go back and rec to a friend for friendly and high-value service.
Good guys. Got a fresh inner tube and they gave me some free tips I didn't know about.
I never leave reviews but this place is just so exceptional. Incredibly friendly and super quick. Honestly looking forward to going again if I need to!
Via bicycle is a treasure. And a cultural treasure as much as a superb bike shop. It's what a museum should be; a place you can improve your life (by getting your bike fixed, or just getting a new one), learn something, and discover a facet of the world you were never entirely sure about. Curtis, the owner and likely the person you'll soak with, can be, well, curt at times But no one knows more, and he runs his shop with a sense of service, in the true sense; through the gift of bicycling, he wants to serve his community to live well. You should go.
This shop is excellent!
They have all kinds of parts and service all makes and models.
I've been a mechanic for over 10 years. If I or a friend wants something unorthodox done, they are ALWAYS my first recommendation.
A truly classic bike shop, it'll have parts for your bike, even if it dates all the way back to the 1800s with wooden rims!
They also have excellent collector bikes and commuter bikes available, and a full catalogue where they can order in almost any part.
NO ONE ELSE knows bikes like this shop does.
They are truly the best bike shop I've ever been to anywhere in the world, in over 25 years of riding bikes.
There is a fair bit of clutter, but I've never seen anything go missing.
You need a bike to get to work? These fellas will make sure you have one and will make sure it lasts forever.
