Villa Barolo reviews
2010 years ago qe had our wedding reception here, Chef Lo catered to our party. I just revised and he is still there. Top shelf cuisine and great atmosphere. Definitely somewhere you should try at least once!
I had the salmon. It was cooked perfectly. Very crispy skin with soft perfect fish. Our server was friendly and we really enjoyed our dinner. Came back new years eve. 11 people and we all loved our dinners. Keith, our server was fantastic!
Went to Dinner last night.
Food was Great!
Chef Lo continues to be Phenomenal!
Had Fresh Oysters that were Awesome, followed by a Crab meat stuffed Lobster that was off the charts!
Our waiter was super friendly, and the consummate Professional!
Sure is nice to know that there are still a handful of fine restaurants that offer fine food and true “ dining” without being priced in the Stratosphere….
I look forward to going again to try other delicious dishes that are on the menu!
Thank you to Chef Lo, and the folks at Barolo!
Great way to kick off the Holiday Season!
Merry Christmas.
A solid dinner choice. The sea bass collar was cooked perfectly. The Elk & Lamb were both undercooked but still very tasty. Portions were abundant. All in all a memorable experience. We will visit again.
My husband and I happened to stop in on our way to Doylestown for a show. They gladly took us in as a walk in. I can not say enough about my wonderful experience. Food was excellent and whom I now believe was the owner went above and beyond to see that I wouldn't be late for my daughter recital
Thank you again Cheif Lo
Excellent meal, as usual. Villa Barolo is our "go to" restaurant & we are never disappointed.
Stopped in on a Sunday mid-dinner-time but wasn't too sure about the place since the parking lot was empty. But we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered one of the specials and my wife from the menu. We both loved our meals and the bartender/waiter was great.
I drive by this resterant twice a day, five days a week. My husband and I have tried to have a after work date here a few times but for some reason or another it just didn't work out.
Finally last Tuesday it did.
Only the bar area was busy. It looked like it was a place for locals to meet up. Not a bad thing.
All in all a plesant interlude. The oysters and clams we good according to my husband.
I give the brussel sprouts a very good. (a bit of back story. When my husband lived in California he lived near a brussel sprout packing plant. When the would not change the water they washed them in it smelled very foul. So I can not even have them in our home so when we go out I order them
). The meatballs were good. As well. The service was excellent.
We will be going back.
Chef has been very helpful and accommodating. Company holiday dinner was held here 2 years in a row. Very aware about my wife's dairy allergy and any other needs we have had.
Food has always been as excellent as the service.
$121 plus tip for a meal so overly-garlicky that I returned to my hotel room and vomited?
My husband is Sicilian and he said there was way too much garlic in the food.
The best part of the meal was the bread and butter
Every time I go to this restaurant, the staff is friendly, polite, informative. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. Most importantly, the food is excellent. Highly recommend.
Great customer service. Very friendly, make you feel like home. Food is very good. Highly recommended. Definitely will go back.
We came in for a wedding anniversary and our food was awful. My wife ordered the gnocchi which came out as a grey color with a tasteless sauce. Our server seemed offended when we told him we didn’t enjoy our food and didn’t say another word to us. The photo speaks for itself, save your money
Went for my father’s funeral luncheon. Chef Lo seemed very up front an friendly with the planning etc but when it came to the day of the lunch he criticized my mother for not calling ahead to let him know how many were coming from the burial as of my mother was supposed to be more concerned with that than burying my father. The wait staff was either nonexistent, or over active. The one server (some bald headed man) had a scowl the entire time, made faces when asking for anything, and overall was less friendly than a DMV employee. The food was the equivalent of overpriced roulette; either you had a great experience or paid $30 for 5 pieces of Ravioli. If selecting a package for food, expect no alterations to your order as they likely won’t allow any “special” requests such as swapping shrimp for chicken. The entire experience, we felt as if we were rushed and a burden to be there. Honestly, there’s probably a pizza place or something much more worth your time within a three mile radius.
Memories of Rome! Great service and fabulous cuisine.
Update: 07/16/22. Still really good and menu prices kept at reasonable levels!
Sat at bar for 15 minutes, we were completely ignored.only two others at bar, who were served repeatedly as we waited. Walked out. Never again.
They seem understaffed with GREAT staff but maybe they're having trouble hiring folks like a lot of businesses these days.
The food wasn't too bad and the drinks were well made but really really understaffed.
We went to Villa Barolo yesterday to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary and Mothers Day! The meal was awful! We had been there several times before hosted our sons wedding rehearsal dinner there 7 years ago, it was exceptional! So many compliments on finding such a good place. Boy how things have changed! Went there in July with our family 13 of us, food again was great! What happened in less then year? We had wanted sea scallops, our server said they were out, by 4: 30? Anyway we started by ordering baby octopus and calamari, the octopus was not as good as we remembered it tasted “off”. Then we ended up ordering Chicken Marsala, tasteless and tough! Needless to say we dropped $120, for zilch! The server was bad too! Live and learn.
Night and we all enjoyed an absolutely fantastic meal. Lamb chops are absolutely delicious. My friend had the elk and couldn’t stop talking about it and my teenage daughter had the ravioli which she said might be the best she’s ever had. (This! From a teenager!)
Had the lollipop lamb chops and caprese salads for appys and again the lamb did not disappoint! The mozz on the caprese could have been more in line with the tomatoes but it was very tasty.
We will be back.
A very eclectic vibe. Swirled block tile floors with beautiful wood and glass accents throughout. Many food choices from appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. Loved my chicken Barolo, thin layers of chicken, eggplant, mozzarella cheese with a demiglaze sauce very light and moist. Other family members had Risotto fra diavolo, spinach and cheese ravioli, penne pasta and a very juicy cheesebuger.
