Staff does not know what they're doing. No one answers the phone and my glasses are 3 weeks late and no one can tell me why or when they'll be ready. Never going back.

This has got to be the most ridiculous place. Not professional the front desk person sat there eating sunflower seeds while attending to a customer putting her fingers in her mouth while typing and touching person’s insurance card.

If I could give this place 0 starts I would. The equipment was not even wiped properly. Staff has no idea what they are doing and have extremely rude attitude. I walked in to the actual prescription part with the doctor when a worker was just sitting there did not acknowledge me at all. She was focused on the internet doing nothing and proceeded to talk with the other worker about personal life. I asked her a question and she completely ignored me as she was on her phone. At the end of the appointment she walked us to the front told us to sit and wait. The staff is so uncoordinated we sat down and waited until finally a staff member asked if we were being helped. This behavior is completely unprofessional and uncoordinated. I would not recommend anyone ever go there.

Only leaving a star because I have to. Apparently there is such a thing as a virtual eye appointment, which I found out when I got there for an eye exam. Somehow your eyes are checked and a remote dr gives you a prescription. What a joke, no thank you. I want a real Dr on site. I canceled and will never return. Staff was extremely unprofessional and rude. Check in lady was on her cell phone reading something when she was talking to me, and held her finger up to me, when I guessing she didn't want me to bother her. Don't even think she really looked at me at all. Stay clear and don't waste your time. What a change from when the place originally opened.

I've been going here for many years, not sure what is going on. I made an appointment for me and my aunt online and when I showed up the lady told me it was for virtual exams. No where online does it give you the option to schedule as for virtual. The lady was ok as she offered to reschedule with a doctor however I didn't have my calendar on me so I told her I would reschedule online and call to make sure it is with a doctor and she then proceeds to state "if we answer the phone. " I am definitely going to be searching for another place

The worst place to go for an eye exam. Upon arriving 10 minutes early to my appointment, I was told to sit in a chair and wait. Employees were frantically running around sporadically helping customer - nobody managing the front desk. If you were lucky enough to walk through the front door at just the right time, you were helped immediately. After patiently waiting for 25 minutes and still not being helped, I informed an employee. They changed my appointment time to: 30 minutes past my originally scheduled time as not to appear to check me in late. At that point, I was told that I would be getting a telemedicine eye exam and that my results would be sent offsite to an optometrist to look at. At this point, I simply walked out. Don’t waste your time here … untrained staff, unorganized office … feel like this is the chop shop of eye exams … everyone that walks in the door gets a pair of glasses … if you’re lucky enough to be seen!

I have never had such a horrible experience. I've been visiting the Airport Road location for years without any problems. I arrived at 10: 45 for my 11am appointment. I was greeted and told to sit down and someone would be with me shortly. At 11: 00, another couple walked in (Mr and Mrs Smith) and they were checked in before me. An associate, Debbie, called me up to the counter and began to check me in. She insisted my contact exam would not be covered and I informed her I checked my eligibility prior to my appointment. Throughout the check in, she rolled her eyes and was huffing quite a bit. She seemed annoyed that I was there. After 15 minutes, I was finally checked in and asked to sit down. At this point, Mr and Mrs Smith were already called back for their exams. While waiting, a gentleman named Luis arrived and Debbie was extremely pleasant to him. I was called in for the testing by Jeanette. She wiped down the machine with a disinfectant wipe, then immediately dried them with a towel. This completely negates the purpose of the wipes, since they all require at least a 1 minute contact time. Employees should follow instructions on the product label. Not only is that common sense, but an OSHA requirement. Jeanette did the first test and asked me to remind her to have me take out my contacts before the last machine. We moved on to the machine with the camera and the camera broke. While trying to fix the camera, Jeanette joked about how much Debbie was flirting with Luis. Jeanette asked me to return to the waiting room. Then, Debbie brought Luis in and did his test on the first machine that I used. Debbie was giggling and rubbing his head and his back during the test. Jeanette then called me back in and ask if I could squat for the remaining tests since Luis was now using the chair. We switched the order of the remaining tests since Luis was still there. I took my contacts out for the last test. I was then evaluated by a telehealth physician. I could not read anything during the exam. The physician was frustrated because my reading from the tests showed. 25 but my prescription has historically been 1.75. Jeanette realized she completed the APR? Test while my contacts were still in. I had to go back out and redo the test then wait for a second telehealth physician to complete the exam. At this point. We waited another 10 minutes for a 3rd telehealth physician to explain the results of the exam. Jeanette asked me to return to the waiting room. On my way, Luis was waiting for his exam. It was after 12: 00 at this point. At 12: 20, Luis and Jeannette entered the waiting room and Jeanette put 2 folders on the counter. A lady with purple hair (I don't know her name), picked up one of the folders and called Luis over. Another gentleman asked if I would like to browse some glasses. I told him I just wanted to check out, since I'd already been here more than 1.5 hours. I was finally called back and asked if I'd like to order contacts and pick out glasses. I told the lady I didn't have time. She said she could order contacts and have them delivered. At that point I just got copies of prescriptions for glasses and contacts and left. I will never return to that location.

This place doesn’t even deserve one start I have been coming for YEARS and the past two years have been awful I just left there in tears because I had an appt over a month ago they called and canceled on me so I rescheduled to have an appt today at 4 o clock I literally sat there with my four year old til five o clock nobody ever said anything to me about how much longer it would be or anything so I finally got up and asked the lady rolls her eyes and says she doesn’t know that to look around…I said ok I’ll reschedule because I can’t keep sitting here she tells me the reschedule wouldn’t be for another month …. And guess what…last year the exact same thing happened to me but worse because they canceled my appts 3 times in a row waiting months in between im done I will never come back and my advice is to not go here go anywhere but here!

I've worn glasses my whole life and never had this bad of an experience with a glasses store. Was told I'd get a call when they came in (about 2 weeks). Here it is over 4 weeks later, no call. The tracking email I received says my order is delayed with no expected date available. I call the store, it's an automated system that spewed the same information as the email. I go to the store and the employee comes out with my glasses, surprisingly. Told her I was disappointed that I was never notified. She was very nonchalant and said I should've called and that the email tracker is basically useless. Nice. She never fitted them to my face, nor were they even cleaned before she handed them to me. They were disgusting. She just stood there arms crossed. At least they seem correct, so I grabbed them and left. Will never go back.

It is beyond ridiculous that I can’t reach a single person at this location. I’ve waited a month for my glasses, and yet my fiancé who had her appointment a week after I did with the same upgrades received her glasses before I did. The online chat system is useless and I’m tired of calling their phone number and being on hold for a long period of time when all I want is an update. And the staff here is rude for no reason.

I’m only leaving a star because you have to leave one. This place is full of the most unprofessional people I have ever met in my life. The whole place needs to be re-staffed and started from scratch.
From the nasty side eye from the assistant to the manager who kept giving me dirty looks, to the lady who gave my son his glasses and made a joke about “special ed” in front of my special needs child and myself. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. I’m limited to where I can go with my insurance, but I will never come to this location ever, ever again.

Very disappointed at the way this facility treats individuals with intellectual disabilities. There have been numerous instances where an individual I support in some capacity will be turned away mid-way through their appointment if they are unable to perform the same testing that a typical individual can and in the same timeframe. Often times they are still billed for the whole appointment without services rendered.

Dr Chen is compassionate and explains everything in a terminology I understand.
Jennie assisted me in finding the perfect pair of glasses
Jenna provided me with a quick professional check out experience
I highly recommend everyone to go to Visionworks at Airport Center shopping center Allentown PA

The minute your foot steps into this store, you will be faced with unprofessional, rude, and unaccommodating staff. You will instantly feel un-welcomed. It took me 2 hours to get my eye exam done, mostly waiting. The technician walked out of my exam 3 times. She was very annoyed by everyone and kept telling me stories of previous patients and how much they annoyed her. At one point, while we were waiting for the doctor, she pulled another patient's info and started working on their file right in front of me! I was able to see all of their information. I wanted to purchase 2 pairs of glasses, but they did not explain to me that the lenses alone will cost me $200 on top of the frames. So be cautious when you see their flashy offer "buy one get one free. " There is a lot of hidden fees.

Finally, i will never set foot in this store ever again, and highly recommend people not to go there; it's a waste of time and money.

Staff is friendly and helpful but store is understaffed. A simple glasses exchange (lense larger than actual frame and so frame screws had a gap) appointment ended up being longer than 2 hours. Ended up being longer than 30 mins for being "next" in line. Had better experience in the past but avoid during peak hours.

This has to be worst Vision Works office! I have a laundry list of complaints.
1.you cant just call the store - when you call the store's number you get redirected to their call center and wait on hold for over 30 min
2. They cancelled my husbands appointment without telling him. He showed up for his appointment time and informed him that his appointment was cancelled because he didn't answer their confirmation call that occurred 3 hours before his scheduled appointment time.
3. They never called when my glasses were in. I had to call them (and see point #1) to check on the status of my glasses
4. My contacts are back ordered and never told me this when I ordered them. They also don't have any samples to give me.
