Great place to stop for coffee or a meal. Friendly staff and there is a book travelers can sign and maps of the USA and the world, you can mark with pins to show where you live. Trail friendly! A must stop if you are traveling through.

This place looks like not much. But the food was wonderful and staff very friendly. When we are around, we will definitely stop by again.

Just go! We saw it last week on a bike ride and came back today for another ride and lunch. It was well worth it. Fun place, really good food. Right off the Panhandle trail.

Ok this place was amazing. Had a fantastic time swapping jabs with our waitress and complaining about the state of the world and her home state of Texas. If you're waiting to catch a plane in Pittsburgh, take a trip out here. Food was amazing and you'll have a very unique experience!

Walden's in Burgettstown is always my "go to" lunch stop when bike riding on the Panhandle Rail Trail. Family owned and operated, Walden's has a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food at reasonable prices.

On summer Sundays, they have a BBQ menu: a choice of ribs, chicken or pork along with two sides for $10! I had ribs, collard greens and potato salad. Everything is homemade and unbelievably good.

What a great place to stop. Little hole in the wall! But what a great place. And the hostess/waitress Vicky was fantastic, I'd go back. I would scale the mountains to go back there and do it again!

We stopped by Walden’s on our bike ride across the country. As soon as we walked in they asked us if we were long distance cycling. We said yes and the waitress, Vicki said, lunch is on us! WOW! How nice of them. Vicki was super nice and told all about the restaurant and area. We ordered a large Shredded Italian sandwich with fries. We were going to share it. HOLY COW! The sandwich was HUGE, actually two whole subs and the fries were hand cut. What a great lunch. We would highly recommend Walden’s to all cyclists passing through Burgettstown.

Loved this place! Treated like family on our 1st time there! The food was delicious! Can't wait to go back! Also wanted to say thank you for saving my life with the cup of ice you gave me on our way back, on that super hot day! Totally got me though the rest of that 60 mile ride!

Smoker smelled great on way in, parking out back, staff cordial, friendly and attentive, decent breakfast menu, food was not bad and was hot, price about a dollar higher, floor was filthy.

My fiance and I went there since it's in her hometown, and were thoroughly impressed. The prices were beyond reasonable and the breakfast has was some of the best I've ever had in Pittsburgh. Also, one of the only places to get good sweet tea in PA.

It was pretty slow for a Saturday brunch, so we were able to talk quite a bit with our waitress (Vikki?) who was very personable and kind. There aren't many times you can walk in somewhere on a whim, and walk out with the perfect map for a US road trip.

I'd definitely go back, and regret that we live on the other side of Pittsburgh from it. I'd highly recommend it after a day on the Panhandle trail, but maybe not before. You'll be too tempted by all of the savory homestyle cooking offered, and probably order something that will weigh you down for the entire trek.

Friendly service and very good food. A real gem on the bike trail! A must stop and dine, one of the little treasures tucked away in the country.

Food was great, the waitress was funny and kind, only complaint I could say was it did need a new coat of paint other than that 5 star

I LOVE the people who own and work at Waldens. This is the BEST restaurant in burgettstown. The owners are absolutely amazing. If you want great food and great service stop by Waldens!

Relaxed, family-owned local restaurant. Great place to meet up for breakfast or lunch with friends or family. Good food for a really good price.

Listen guys I went with a friend who happens to be the only guy who ever did their food challenge, and I can confidently say that this is not your average small town restaurant. The atmosphere is homely but the mac-n-cheese buffalo tenders sweet potato fries bread bowl is top notch. Imagine everything you wanted at 2 in the morning last Friday night. All in one place.
