Walmart Vision & Glasses reviews
11Great staff! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Clean store with many glasses to choose from. Will definitely return.
I would never go back to the Walmart vision and glasses.about a year ago I decided to go to this place and right off the bat, the lady who is the actual eye doctor was so rude and mean and actually made me cry. I had to have my partner come back to the room with me because she was upsetting me so badly. When my partner came back to ask if they could be in the room with me, the eye doctor said “UH I GUESS SO? ” She was doing the eye test on me & seemed to have no patience when I couldn’t tell the difference between the first eye setting or the second. She made me want to leave as soon as I got there. Lastly.after a year of wearing contacts where I couldn’t see out of my left eye from my contacts AND my glasses, I needed a new prescription a few days ago so decided to go somewhere else (you lost my business with this woman) I was telling my new doctor about my bad experience and how it seems I could never see clearly out of my left eye with my contacts and my glasses.this new doctor did his routine and everything.come to find out that this entire time, the Walmart eye doctor had flip flopped my prescription on my left eye and I’ve been wearing the wrong prescription in my left eye. So I paid money out of pocket for my prescription, glasses and contacts with the prescription that she had written out and it was wrong this entire time as well as her just being down right mean and miserable. Don’t waste your time going there.
Male optometrist denied my relative a proper exam and lenses on the premise that they wouldn’t benefit from having something to aid their vision. My relative’s vision is far worse than mine and I’m nearly required to wear lenses for driving. The male doctor here clearly hasn’t had to experience how disabling poor vision is and how much it detracts from quality of living.
If you need glasses, go somewhere else to get a more ethical doctor’s opinion.
Been going here since 2002. Had a Gentleman do my exam, he was very polite professional person.wouldn't had want anyone else to work with my eyeballs.thank you Dr. Richard O. Way Jr.
My insurance provider listed the optometrists at walmart vision center in Altoona as being in-network providers. When I called to set up my appointment, I was told they would call me if there was a problem with my insurance. They didn't call me. When I went to my appointment, they told me they didn't accept my insurance. I wasted time, gas and 2 hours off from work for nothing! If I could leave zero stars, I would.
One of the salespersons Cierra was unnecessarily rude and belligerent. She did not know how to do her job and wasted an hour of my time trying to figure it out. She may be overworked but that does not make it okay to take her frustrations out on customers. Incompetence is okay rudeness is never acceptable. I hope they teach her some proper etiquette as a salesperson. As for me I won’t be coming back.
They don’t know how to answer a phone. When you do get through to some one they are very rude.
Dont know how to answer the phone. Been trying to get ahold of someone for weeks now. Really poor services.
The nose piece on my expensive Prada sunglasses broke the night before I was to leave on a trip. On a whim I went to the Vision Center for the slight chance they might be able to rig something for me. When I enter I was greeted and assisted right away. I told them my situation and the lady (and I apologize for not remembering her name or title) showed me the replacement nosepieces they had and asked if I would like her to install them for me. Not only did she install the new nosepiece, she also tightened all of the screws on my sunglasses and she also cleaned the lenses all without being asked to do so. She went above the call of duty and was pleasant while doing so. I was very impressed and appreciative of the service I received.
I have been out to Walmart several times to either look at their frames or buy clip-on sunglasses, since they appear to be the only ones who sell them. I have also had my glasses adjusted while there. The staff has always been very helpful and informative. Though I have never had an actual exam scheduled they have always been very accommodating.
