Walter Pine Floral Studio, Philadelphia PA

After a 5 mile run filled with shadow boxing to the Rocky Steps and back, my runners high led me to remembering that I'm the best boyfriend ever and that I should get my girlfriend some flowers to prove it. I whipped out my navy blue titanium Iphone 15 and viciously typed "flowers" into Apple Maps, and Walter Pine Floral Studio became the obvious choice. Yes, I use Apple Maps. Y'all still using maps? ! Or God forbid. Waze!? COULDN'T BE ME!

After standing outside for a minute to catch my breath after my ELITE 9 min/mile pace, I entered. I was immediately struck with inspiration, as this is the most beautiful Floral Shop I have been in and I actually have been in a good amount of them for being a straight male ahahaha. I just couldn't stop smiling in there.

As I was standing there breathing heavily and smiling, one of the employees, Taylor, walked up to me with a bigger smile than I had on and asked if I needed help with anything. I told her I just wanted to get some flowers for my girlfriend and that she hated roses but loved tulips. She said "Awesome! " and brought me over to the bouquet station and gave me a little rundown on what she thought. She was so helpful, big up to Taylor!

She said it would take about 5-10 minutes, and that Chloe would be the one putting the bouquet together. I was cool with that because honestly I wanted to look around, they had such a great selection of hand curated items including but not limited to cards, matches, candles, house plants, flowers, hanging plants, chocolate, ornaments, vases, pots, etc.

I ended up getting her matches (she loves matches), the boquet ($35), and a card that said "I am so glad you were born. " It wasn't her birthday or nothin, but I am glad she was born ahahaha.

The bouquet ended up being BEAUTIFUL and my girlfriend absolutely loved it lol. Chloe did her mf THANG! She immediately put them in a vase and right on the table. I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of Tulips before, but they've grown on me. I think I just learned so much about the Tulip Mania in Econ class that I was off them.

Great selection of beautiful artisanal products and very friendly staff. Had a heartfelt conversation with the artist behind the Pine Barrens oil painting that’s featured on wallpaper and other products. Highly recommend this thoughtful and beautiful store!

Working with Walter Pine was easy-breezy! Their wedding selections are easy to find on the website and diverse in their offerings. We chose to purchase the bride's bouquet (classic) and the groom's boutonniere. In addition, we asked for the bouquet to match the bridesmaids bouquets which had been made by us separately using wooden flowers. The staff did an amazing job matching the style of the bouquet and even included the calla lilies that we specifically requested. The classic size is absolutely massive! The boutonniere was beautiful and matched the bouquet perfectly. The only downside was that one of the flowers came off after the ceremony and before the reception but that could have been because of the many hugs that were being given and received. The bouquet lasted in water for another week after the wedding.

Such a special little shop! These are genuinely the best selection of flowers from simply stems to their bouquets. Forever impressed by their work. Great shop for small gifts as well!

Unfortunately my sister has spent way too much time in Pennsylvania Hospital over the last 2 years so I have sent a lot of flowers her way. Walter Pine Studio does amazing arrangements and has great customer service. They have a terrific website that describes their arrangements and price range. On those times my sister has been in the hospital so long that I've needed to send flowers twice, their floral designer makes sure that they use completely different flowers for the second arrangement. I'm looking forward to the day that my sister no longer needs these long hospital stays but until then I'm really glad that I have a great business like Walter Pine Floral Studio to rely on to brighten her day.

I want to give a good review, I really do, but my experience is somewhat disappointing. I would give 5 stars for the ambience and design and friendliness of staff but 1 star for the outcome of my shopping there. Your experience may vary and I should say they may well be a lovely place to buy flowers.

I purchased a 5’ Ficus tree here last year, and was happy to pay a premium to support a shop in my neighborhood. I had a lengthy conversation with the salesperson about how tall it would get in which they assured me it would “love my space” with high ceilings and skylights - and get to 8’ or 9’ tall over half as many years. I’m not a plant person, so I didn’t recognize they had “crowned” the top - what I would think was a key piece of information, since because of that it has never grown an inch taller than when I bought it, and apparently never will. Buyer beware.

Purchased a floral arrangement for my wife's birthday and it was absolutely beautiful. The varying colors, types of flowers, and greenery were exquisite. My new go-to florist in my neighborhood of Queen Village.

I call this flower ensemble “leftovers”. This is what $110.00 at Walter Pine studio will get you. So pretentious! Their website is misleading and doesn’t provide dimensions. Honestly I thought it was a joke. Be careful buying flowers from this place.
