Warriors Path State Park reviews
11I can't say enough about Pennsylvania state parks. I would have loved to have spent a longer time here. If you love the outdoors this is a must see.
Great place to go kayaking, hang out with friends and just enjoy the outside. Great place for kayaking easy place to launch off from. I would check the water level before kayaking.
Beautiful natural scenery.river if like to fish.pathways thru the woods.nice, relaxing area to visit.
If you take an innertube, you can get quite a ride. Go up the road as far as you can and be prepared to hop out at end. Pizza shop in Saxton is great!
Warriors Path has two volleyball courts and an organized group tent area.
I've included two pictures by the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. One spot is a non motorized boat launch and the other is a picnic spot which features a scenic cut in the hill across the river. The river area is very quiet if no one is using the fields. A great spot to meditate.
You can also fish, picnic, and hike the 6 miles of trails
Hunting is allowed in that season and cross country skiing in winter.
We really enjoy coming here to kayak and canoe down the river, beautiful views and nice walking trail and picnic pavilion.just don't use the bathroom, unless of course you like to see how many mosquitoes can fit in a bathroom stall.just bring the bug spray, and the citronella torches and you should be A ok
An absolutely beautifully serene state park, that sits along the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. Hiking and biking trails, Fishing, picnicking, with little to no traffic.
Absolutely beautiful here. A great place to bring the family and relax for the day! Grilling and roasting marshmallows with the grandkids and seeing God's beautiful landscape of nature!
This is a good spot to access the Juniata for Kayaking, Fishing etc. Not busy when I went, either
No indoor seating at local restaurants due to covid virus.we bought take out and sat in park to eat.lovely
Nice scenery with a lot of trails for day hiking.
Two picnic areas with outhouse style bathrooms that are very insect active.
There's a lot of fruit bearing bushes that locals were harvesting, looks like raspberries or blackberries.
Two boat launches to enter the river that surrounds the park.
Being a somewhat no frills state park, this is actually a rather nice location with far fewer people than most other parks, and the trails are well distributed around with many choices to navigate unlike most that are just single loops.
Quiet and unused enough that wasps and birds are nesting and feeding babies in the pavilion nearest to the entrance.
Good place to stop and picnic when you want to stay away from people, as long as you don't have needs for more modern facilities.
