Wasabi Steakhouse & Sushi reviews
11Our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) had a very positive experience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and service was exceptionally fast even when they were very busy. Our server recommended the sushi sampler for my husband which was amazing. The portions were very generous. We ended up taking a couple of boxes home. We will definitely support this local business again!
Table was very greasy when we arrived, sat waiting to order for over ten minutes, not a happy customer, waitress was neglecting us, wasnt even busy
All the staff are very nice and if they ever forget to give u something off your order you just gotta call and next time you will get it. Very helpful people for sure and are always trying to help out in any way they can.
First thanks for over 1.5 million views! Stopped in today for lunch. Ordered two sushi rolls, Spicy California & Green Dragon. I don't expect Nobu in Ebensburg. But I do expect some quality for my money. The Spicy California, is spicy due to the spicy mayo sauce. It was missing. But the worst was the Green Dragon, the protein (eel) was non existent and also cold. It was rather pathetic. And for basically $2.00 a bite l expected more then just rice. It was also missing the green roe on top. Junk sushi, sorry. I took pictures of the Dragon Roll showing how small portion of meat in each piece. The crumb beside roll was the meat portion.
Wanted to try this place out since I usually go to aki in Altoona and this is much closer to where I live! My boyfriend and I ordered sushi and a clear soup that was horribly salty. The next day I got food poisoning and so did my boyfriend, it’s now two days later and we’re both still experiencing stomach pain. No wonder it was empty, plus the prices are horrible for what you get. Don’t go here unless you want to have a hibachi experience or eat something other than sushi.
A coworker and I walked over from the hotel. It seemed like a better choice than fast food. A appetizer like edamame has no excuse to arrive to the table after the entrée! The prep work is simple…no excuse. The single yellow tail roll I ordered was tasty enough, so there’s a positive. Even though I don’t use it, soy sauce never came to the table. I then gave their shrimp pad thai a try. It wasn’t even close to what I’ve had at other places in my travels. Atmosphere of the place is what one would expect from a small town. Nothing wrong with how the place was laid out. Although the door going into the place is funky. I felt like I needed to knock beforehand. What’s with the small menus for the dinning room? Those are what you find shoved into the bag when a person orders take out! Table service was fair and I expected that much. Can I recommend Wasabi? Small town sushi joint it works. Once compared to other places it doesn’t.
Amazing food! We order for three days in a roll and we love! All the food is very well done
I'm very picky whenever it comes to sushi which is why I only gave them a three. It did not seem very fresh but again also very picky from living at the beach for multiple years and having top notch sushi.
I will say I normally do not do hibachi but I did whenever we went there and it was absolutely delicious! My super picky eater even loved the miso soup!
I have rated sushi in various places, the outer banks, Florida, and downtown Los Angeles. Yet, this restaurant by far has had the best sushi that I have had the chance to eat. The flavors are so amazing and the quality and freshness of the chefs rolls are perfect. Would definitely recommend stoping by and going out of your way to try the amazing selection.
This place has great food, and there server's and management are awesome. Please support this place. They support our community, and that's hard to find anymore. That's more than I can say about those big chain restaurants.
