In short: They are great pre-job and then absolutely unresponsive and not professional after the work is done. As long as you have no questions or issues after the work is done, you will be fine.

Very unfortunate experience. Super helpful and responsive up until the install to get your money. The crew that did my sump pump and wall crack repair were very nice, however came unprepared and had to ask me where they were doing the install/repairs in my basement because the inspector that wrote up the contract didn't share any details with them (this is what they told me). Generally seemed like they did a good job. After the install, I received no follow up. I had to call to see if there was anything to be aware of post-job and how to pay the remaining balance. Unfortunately, within days of the repair there was a water spot where the new sump pump was installed. I called again to see what we could do. He told me the team could come see what was going on and fix the issue. I was traveling for work so we agreed to get something scheduled when I returned. I texted and called when I returned. Was told to resend the photos of the issue and they would schedule the team to come out. No response for multiple days and then excuses that they were very busy after having to follow up. This is totally understandable, but why not call me and at least get something scheduled? Followed up again multiple times, every time having to re-explain the issue even though it was all in the same email thread (including photos). Finally was told he would call me to schedule the team to come out when he was in the office with the owner the next day. Waited until 5pm of the next day with no follow-up. I then emailed again and he at least answered that he was working on it. Still no call, but received a text at 7am the next day that the crew could come out that day. Issue is still not resolved, and of course 0 follow up after the crew came out to inspect.

We have hired Waterproofing One for 3 different jobs now. First, they sealed a window that was leaking into our basement - that was completed quickly and was effective. When we discovered water intrusion in a separate portion of the basement we decided to move forward with a whole-exterior waterproofing job. Waterproofing One was outstanding to work with. Both Joe (owner) and Frank were patient and communicative, answering all of our questions and working with us every step of the way. As with any project, a few surprises popped up during the job. Rather than take advantage of situation knowing they could charge lots extra for these surprises, Joe and Frank were reasonable and moved forward without making things a big deal. The end result seems great. Finally, they also installed a Patio which looks great! We got quotes from many, many companies for this job given its magnitude, and no one else matched Waterproofing One's reachability (Joe and Frank are both reachable by cell - outstanding), reasonable price and follow-through. Thank you, Waterproofing One for putting our minds at ease as the weather gets ever more extreme. We are happy customers!

This company mistreated one of my closest friends, Owner was absolutely horrible and verbally abusive, screaming at her. Not professional, Worker sent first to wrong address, then arrived distracted and unprepared. Company owner put their mistakes on homeowner.

*Please Note* I was not the homeowner who had the misfortune of using them. It was a friend and I was so appalled by behavior of company owner that I left a review. I have also seen emails sent to now former customer. This company owner is not one I would trust in my home and quite frankly needs anger management- appears to have issues with women. If you search other review sites there are many reviews of a common thread with this guy. Using the actual homeowner’s name in the reply to my review is yet another form of harassment and intimidation and full of flagrant inaccuracies on the business owner’s part.

Honesty is the key to good business and Brian, the estimator who came out to my house, gave me exactly that. Brian probably could have tried to sell me on certain services but after seeing the property and the issue I had he said that I could probably fix the issue by grading the yard away from the house as it is currently forming a channel along the house where water is flowing to the bottom. Another company called Basements Love Us sold me a $5000 project that did nothing to fix the issue I was having at that point when I first bought this house 6 years ago, so I value and respect honesty in business above everything else and Brian was helpful, friendly and HONEST! I would recommend a person like that to do business with! I hope he is blessed with other jobs from this review for doing the right thing and being honest and prioritizing integrity and reputation over short term profits!

Used them for two jobs. The first went very smoothly, no issues. I was quite satisfied. The second seemed to be ok however a few months later I have water coming into my basement from the area they repaired. I’ve been calling and emailing for the past month and I’m getting a run around. No call backs or resolution for the issue. It seems their 100% lifetime guarantee is bogus. Very frustrated as I will now have to find a company willing to fix their work and pay more$$.

We had a French drain fixed (original installed without a hookup to sump pump!? !), bigger sump pump installed with battery backup, and waterproofing around basement doors. The guys were professional, neat, and friendly. Everything was cleaned up and the project was done in a day. Also, I love it when a crew enjoys working together and these guys do.

We had some major water issues in our basement with water coming in. We called several contractors for a quote. Waterproofing one responded quickly and we’re out for an estimate in days. The price was agreeable and we were put in the schedule in only a week. The crew arrived and completed a job we thought was no way possible to be done in a day. They were great to work with and our water issues have been solved.

I had a leak in the wall leading into my furnace room. I got referred by a neighbor to Wayerproofing One. They gave me a good price and did a very good job. The furnace room has been dry.
Now I realized my sump pump is not working and hence water leaked from the floor into the middle of my basement. I am using Waterproofing One again to replace the sump pump and will probably use them for other services too since they are reliable!

We used Waterproofing One to install a new sump pump and drain system in our basement. Joe took the time to come out and explain and answer any questions we had. He gave us a fair price and his construction guys came out a week later. They were very professional and were in and out in 2 days. The guys took the time to to cover the floor, furniture and even the walls so they wouldn’t get anything dirty and when they left at the end of each day they even wiped down the floor on their way out. We would highly recommend this company for your next waterproofing project.

Had Mark come out and give me quote on basement and yard drains. Price was good and ask if I could seperste work. Was told yes, so scheduled yard work first. Called back next day to add a drain and was told would get back to me that day or next for price update. Never heard back, called everyday for the week and was told owner would call and come look at yard to make sure everything was OK for install. We'll a week later, no calls, owner never showed up. Never got contract to sign. This company was a big waste of my time. Wouldn't use them and very poorly run company. Guess they don't need the work?

From Start to Finish We had a great experience, Joe was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what we needed to fix the water leaking situation in our basemen, he didn’t try to over sell Us like other company’s we got quotes from and his price was very reasonable. They were able to get our French Drain install scheduled in a reasonable time, where other company’s were many months out. The install team were fantastic, friendly and knew what they were doing, we expected to have some mess to deal with considering the type of install - but let me tell you, the installers spent a lot of time cleaning up our driveway, basement and yard when finished. It’s been several months later and many rain storms and our basement is dry as a bone! No more stressing when heavy rain is predicted! Thanks Again Water Proofing One!

Joe came out and did the quote and then Juan and his crew came out and did a fantastic job. They input a brand new Hydrostatic System and reinforced the basement walls. Repointed and cement the gaps in our exposed walls. For a 110 year old home with a dreary wet dungeon, the basement looks brand new and well sealed off from further water damage. Juan’s crew was in and out, very professional and they did a great job. Even my wife loved it and it takes a miracle to please that woman. Will definitely be using them again

We were having water seep into our family room and Waterproofing One did a great job fixing our problem. The owner called me back shortly after I left a message and came out to our home the next day. His crew came the following week, dug a trench down to the bottom of our foundation, coated the walls, added a waterproof material and then coated that. They refilled the trench and put our yard back to the way it was before they started. Thanks for a great job!

This company did a great job waterproofing my base after we got massive damage from the hurricane. I would definitely recommend them to others.
