Waterville Tavern reviews
18 The owners are amazing!
The food, drinks, staff, and sleeping quarters are top notch.
I definitely would check this place out if you're in the area.
Cheers.
This is an upscale restaurant with reasonable prices in the small town of Waterville in the Pine Creek Valley in the mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania.
It's clean and family friendly. The staff are friendly and attentive. They serve soups, sandwiches, salads, dinners including seafood. They encourage reservations but don't require them and their dining room is family friendly and separate from the bar area. They even post some children's completed coloring pages on one wall, in addition to metal carved artwork and pottery. We vacationed in the Pine Creek Valley in 2021 and 2022 and dined at the Waterville tavern both times, and will do so whenever we vacation there.
We stayed here during our ride on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. The room was very nice with a huge bathroom and full shower. The dinner menu is excellent too.
We stopped here for an lunch.on October they are only opening Thursday to Sunday.costs here are very reasonable, and the food is creative and delicious.we had a shrimp and corn soup and a turkey and brie sandwich.both were awesome.a great chat with the owner told us that this is run by folks who enjoy and care for hosting people.definitely stop by.
Went last night with another couple and I had their dinner special fried walleye and it was as hard as a rock. Even baked potato was burnt. Was so disappointed with no compensation just I am so sorry from the waitress. Will probably never go back if we do we won’t buy any dinners. 2 out of the 4 dinners were burnt.
The cheesesteak is very good.
Service lacked, but it’s not her fault, this place is understaffed and the outside girl had to run inside for everything. Management should have someone (not the single outdoor bartender/server) run food to the patio so she can stay at the bar and patio and take care of people
Enjoyed dinner on the patio on Sunday. Busy father's day for sure. Mattie was outside alone doing an amazing job. Doing everything. We will return and hope she is our server the best
We had lunch here. The service was slow and my partner's salad was small & chicken fingers petrified. Portions run small for the price paid. I don't go to restaurants for political digs. A paper Dr Suess riddle about the President was removed from the hand sanitizer for this reason. On the plus side the bar is beautiful.
Last stop always on our way to OleBull State Park everything was great really nice place for drinks and service was excellent
Fantastic food and generous portions. Service was excellent. We ended up going two days in a row.
Cell service and wifi.
Was in the area with family and friends camping for the long weekend - stopped in 4 adults 4 kids under the age of 8 and had an amazing time. The staff was fantastic and the food was perfect - this will be a regular stop for us on future trips.
Beautiful rooms. Clean and spacious. There is a full bar downstairs with great beer selections and the food were well prepared. I will definitely stay here again.
This is our go to place when we're in the area. Food is always pleasing to the palate. Serving size.good. Drunken Fish is my favorite.
After a great camping trip and star gazing my group stopped here Sunday afternoon on the way home and let me tell you, what a treat! The short ribs were to die for, the cheesecake was amazing and our waitress Sarah couldn't have been any more pleasant. I will always stop by here on the way back from Cherry Springs.
Nice place along the bike trail, excellent food and service. The chili is good, fries are good and the service was awesome. Definitely would go back here.
Our server sarah was kind and attentive! I don’t even remember what the place looked like because the food was so downright delicious.everything they touched turned to gold.somebody should give them a Michelin star or something, but for now they get 5/5
The electricity went on and off a couple of times and then finally went out for good. The bartender had a great dry sence if humor
