Waterwheel Café, Bakery & Bar reviews
14 We eat there often when traveling in Milford.
Old cafe with a scenic view, good service and relaxing atmosphere.
Their deserts are the best.
Food is always excellent for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Always a good selection of entrees. Staff is top notch. Really enjoy the experience.
Excellent service and great vegetarian/vegan options. Tempeh vegetable stew and pumpkin ravioli were fantastic. The restaurant is closed from 3 to 430pm!
Nice place for a really eclectic lunch delicious bahn mi and soup, great chicken salad, and steak sandwich, bakery to die for.
My Vietnamese noodles were served cold as a lunch salad. It was good, but I preferred warm rice noodles. Perfect service. Indoor dining was noisy, which made it difficult to have conversations at my table.
Great food and service. The lunch menu has a lot of unusual choices. Roast beef sandwich and ham with melted brie were excellent. The side of pasta salad was a great and tasty surprise.
Delightful atmosphere for Saturday morning brunch! Delicious foods, great service, friendly staff. Take a few minutes to walk through the self-guided mill tour while you're here.
Parked on the wrong side and owner informed us to go around to the other side and park. Went around, parked and Walked in for dessert before 8pm. Closing is 9pm. Two servers and not one even made eye contact the woman walked passed me as she rudely informed me “we’re done for the night Guys sorry” didn’t even receive a greeting. Unfortunate because I am new to the area and was really looking forward to trying this place out! Will not return.
I enjoyed the breakfast special Chorizo & hash with an Arnold Palmer. There was about a 30 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon, not bad at all for the quality of the food! Love Milford and this cafe)
Staff and service were great, we did have a issue with a bug in our food but that meal was comped and we appreciate it.
The sandwiches weren't bad, some of the desserts just weren't as good as they sounded or looked
Besides the spontaneous changes in meal availability, their coffee was significantly substandard with it's quality (great portion though)
We stopped here for lunch on our two-day trip to Asheville, NC. The service here was excellent. We sat outside and it was lovely. I got the unsweetened iced tea. OMG! The best iced tea I've ever had outside of my house. The mister got the sirloin steak sandwich which was stuffed with freshly grilled steak, sauteed onions, and gorgonzola cheese. He loved it. I got the roast beef and gorgonzola sandwich, yum! Both sandwiches arrived on lovely, fresh-baked buns and with a side of crunchy, not too sweet, coleslaw. Stopping for cookies on the way out was a great idea. They were a delicious sweet snack as we continued the first 8 hours of our journey. Our server was excellent! He was friendly, efficient, and fun. Highly recommend!
This is by far the best French toast I’ve ever had! The service was nice. And the prices were reasonable. I will be definitely be coming back. If you happen to be in the area I recommend checking it out.
We had breakfast, which was wonderful. Took home a mixed fruit pie - one of the best I ever had.
