Not only do they verbally abuse the kids. They will drop them from daycare if their parent works there and decides to get a better job. They also don’t clean and that is why kids are always getting sick

Can’t speak to the quality of the daycare itself but I just witnessed one of their transit vans run a red light and almost hit someone who was (rightfully) turning left from Grant street. At the very least, I’d avoid their transport services. I hope there weren’t any kids in the car!

We have had a wonderful experience at Waynesboro Day Care Center. Each staff member went above and beyond to get to know our child and make them feel like they belong, regardless if they were in their class or not. The unique experiences they were able to provide for our child such as cooking, bringing the farm to school, and seasonal celebrations brought so much joy to our child. I was amazed daily at everything our child had learned from WDCC. Their staff was so developmentally appropriate with their curriculum for each age group. I feel like the teachers did a great job communicating daily with what was going on in the classroom. Thank you so much for all you do!

I am currently 14 years old, I have been to this daycare for about 13 years now & and for the first 4 years it was fine. The director, not that great. Food, fine. Everything wasn't so bad. I am not going to call out any names. I just want to start off by saying, this is to all the staff that treated me terribly, I was always misunderstood, They cared about no one including me, I got abused there for spilling food, they act as if they were 3. Honestly, I was making this 5 years ago, I would give it a 5 star. I'm glad I didn't. Just remember this, never, EVER, bring your children here. My parents made that mistake a long time ago and several other parents did too.

*AVOID THIS PLACE FOR YOUR SAKE AND YOUR CHILDREN SAKE, READ ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR KIDS IN THEIR CARE*

My daughter started with the daycare when she was only 3 months old. We started with a different director who was very kind, thoughtful, and worked with us and our daughter very well. My wife used to work at the center and enjoyed working for the then director as it seemed like it was a good environment. My daughter went to this center for 7 years. Then a new director came forth and that’s when things started going down hill. I would have rated this center 5 stars under the old director but glad I didn’t since the center has taken a turn for the worst.

In the last 2-3 years, the center fired the old director and brought in a new one. The new director treated us terrible. I have an emails where we were threatened to have our kids kicked out on at least 9 different occasions. It was continued threats of taking our kids else where, they had a waiting list to replace my kids, and more. It was too much and stressful.

Their billing is horrendous and needed monitored closely by us. We were set up on a daily rate since my kids were only going part time. They would charge us on days my kids were not even there, double charge weeks. We pulled our kids out 2 weeks ago and continue to be charged. On the last issue we had, I let the director know that we were pulling our kids out effective immediately. She mentioned a 2 week notice charge that was going to be implemented which I am unsure how you can do that when my kids were on a daily rate and not a weekly rate. If my kids weren’t there, we didn’t get charged.

On the first day of kindergarten this year for my daughter, we dropped her off at the center where she was to be loaded on the bus and after school a bus would take her back to the center. On the very first day “THEY DID NOT GET MY DAUGHTER OFF THE BUS! ” We received a call from the elementary school stating that my daughter was brought back to the elementary school because the center did not get her. Needless to say, just unacceptable. They pretty much lost my kid and never called us to update us on what was going on. Of course in a parents mind you think of the worst of what could of happened.

The tracking of their paperwork for kids is horrendous. On numerous occasions, at least once or twice a year, the health reports for my kids needed updated. I would receive an email that the report was out of date and my daughter or son wasn’t welcome back until it was updated. This would cause either myself or my wife to call out of work, take our kids to the doctor to have the report filled out and brought back. The doctor needed a 24 hour turnaround to fill out the report so we actually needed to take 2 days off work until we received the report back so that our kids could attend the daycare again. The center should have been tracking their paperwork if the state inspector is so adamant about them being updated. You can’t put that responsibility on the parents and risk them losing their jobs for taking off unexpected work. When approaching the director about it, her only response was “we are doing the best we can. ”

2-3 years ago I would highly recommend this center. Unfortunately until a change in control of the center is changed, I recommend everyone avoids this place and save yourself the stress. I don’t see how this place a non profit with the rates they are charging parents. If you price (which we never did until problems started arising) around you will notice there is cheaper rates with centers that have a great environment and my kids have been so much happier when I come to pick them up every evening. If the center we go to now is making a profit and Waynesboro daycare isn’t, I would like to know where the money goes. We saved just on one kid almost $300 a month by switching centers and getting away from the threats and stress that you will constantly encounter from the Waynesboro daycare center.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The director has horrible communication with parents. She double charged for when my child went there and refused to fix it. There are always different teachers going in and out. I would not recommend taking your child there. If she doesn’t like the parent, she doesn’t like the child I noticed. And she’s barely at the center!

The center is under new management and staff. When I pulled him out he went to another center that ultimately closed, then found other daycare that didn't work out.

My son is back at the center and has been since November of 2018. He is thriving, happy and doing really well. If I have any issues that cannot be resolved with the staff, the director has been more than helpful.

He's doing well, loves his teacher and his classmates.

We have been taking our daughter here for almost a year now and love it! She is always so happy when we pick her up and she has a great relationship with her teachers!
