WellSpan Family Medicine - Valley Green reviews
8Dr. Shane is the only good doctor here. Otherwise they do not care about their patients and would rather see them suffer and just send them to urgent care
Would not recommend this practice. The provider I saw could not figure out how to merge the pre-visit paperwork in their system. Provider did not know what a medical term on my chart was nor took the time to research it. Nurse practitioner laughed about a sensitive topic and continued to laugh for a good while after the situation passed.
Horrible practice. Canceled me as a patient due to not getting off work in time and when asked to go back was refused. F-dat place!
Very bad attitude discriminating people with an accent, I call twice, and the second time the male front desk denied me an appointment, cauze he said my medical insurance it's not being accepted it, call WellSpan main line and they confirmed my insurance is accepted it! They sent me to Manchester, filing a complain for discriminacion!
This facility appears to be careless when it comes to newer patients. I have experienced some issues that lead me to look elsewhere.
My first time I was there, I had some abnormal blood work results. I got an automated response telling me to do things I have already been doing for years. When I reached out, staff didn't seem to think it was a big issue.
When that doctor left, I was not notified until I reached out to schedule another appointment. Fortunately, I was placed with another provider that time.
The straw that broke the camel's back was when I tested positive for COVID, I tried to send my doctor a message through the portal to let them know, only to find out that that doctor had also left and I was no longer a patient at the facility. Thank goodness I wasn't very sick!
Long story short, it sounds like if you've been here a long time, it's a good facility, but if you're new, I'd advise looking else where.
My mother just had a stroke and this place said they couldn't get her in to be seen UNTIL APRIL. It is mid-February. Called other doctors office and told that this is ridiculous. Me and my sister left years ago for our issues being dismissed. One doctor didn't even know what I needed when I asked for a required physical for college. Literally the worst doctors office we've ever been to. AVOID THIS PLACE. Everyone I know hates this doctors office and I grew up in this area.
Instead of sending a needed prescription, like a doctors office should, they always send you to urgent care or somewhere else. Like, that’s not why I called. I moved almost 4 hours from here. Meanwhile I have breathing issues and have had them since I was young (chronic asthma). Been hospitalized multiple times and have clear instructions on what i should be taking. Instead they are ignoring it and trying to send me somewhere else. It’s been years of this. You’d think they would want to help. When my nebulizer runs out looks like I’m stuck barely breathing… lol. Why send people to urgent care when you are a doctors office. Makes no sense. Especially when there’s no reason to waste the time there. Sick of this. I’ve been sent to more urgent cares and hospitals than my own doctors office. Clearly they don’t know their patients well enough nor care enough to push needed medications through.
It’s 12/24/22 As I’m editing this. I was just hospitalized for my asthma. Yah know, because I didn’t have meds I should have because they didn’t wanna help me and send over what I’ve needed and what THEY CAN CLEARLY SEE IN MY RECORDS. Thanks guys. For nothing.
Went to this WellSpan location today for the first time. Just moved to the Lewisberry area and wanted to continue to go to WellSpan instead of changing doctors. I just wanted to say I had a great experience here. The nurses were super nice and didn’t have a bad experience at all!
