WellSpan York Hospital reviews
16I recently had lung cancer surgery and spent 3 nights in 2nd floor Tower 2 recovering. The nurses and staff were wonderful. Thanks for your outstanding care.
They are quick to get you in and taken care of. The only reason why it is not 5 stars is due to room cleanliness
You would be better off trying to fix your medical issues yourself over going here. PLEASE DRIVE TO HERSHEY OR MARYLAND IF YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED A HOSPITAL!
Sadly my grandfather had a hemorrhagic stroke and was just taken off ventilator. He’s still alive but has isn’t responding to simulation and considered brain dead. He live an amazing 77 year life and couldn’t have had a better set of nurses taking care of him and our family. Helped me set up the TV for him, Gave us complementary drink and snack tray, checked on us everyday 30 minutes and even let us break the two person rule. And I even talked the one nurse into staying in his room all night while we slept to keep an eye on him. They truly understood and cared. God bless them and I’ll miss you Pug. ️
The best behavior system I've been experiencing for about four years now and I thank you for your support and etc.
My uncle and I are in the ER waiting for about 2 hours before he's even seen by a doctor/physician. His spine was broken in 2 places and needs someone asap. Yet we're waiting for extended periods of time. Potentially causing the fresh repair to his spine to come undone or get infected.
At 78 years of age, I have been in several hospitals from NJ to NC (for knee replacements & hip replacements, etc) & finally York Hospital in PA. This hospital gets my highest rating of all because EVERYONE that assisted in my care both before & after emergency surgery was PHENOMENAL!
Even the transport staff were caring & friendly. Thank you everyone that helped me get through this tough experience.
I've been under the care as an impatient of York Hospital a few times over the past several years due to having had multiple intestinal surgeries.
This most recent stay bad me as an inpatient during 1st and 2nd weeks of February of 2023. From housekeeping, to nursing staff, to doctors, they all provided top-notch care.
They've been very busy since Covid hit, and the tempo show no signs of slowing, so the keys are to be patient and understanding with the staff. They will meet your health needs, and they will take excellent care of you.
I'd like to give an extra special thanks to RNs Abema and Rishma, whom both provided 5+ star care.
Very poor nurse on duty 02/10/2023 came in with an ambulance never got attended to do 2 hours asked the nurse she asked my name I gave her and she didn’t even try to tell me I had others ahead or I was next told her I was leaving she said have a safe trip
Came here because I woke up in immense pain and fever. I have an appt with a surgeon for my diverticulitis but I can’t wait that long It sure seems like the wait here at the ER will take just as long
If I would have known this I would have waited i pain at home for urgent care. So many p
Employees walking around but doesn’t seem like it matters how many employees are working nothing seems to be getting done. If i would have known how terrible it was here I would have waited at home for urgent care
If I get sepsis or my intestines burst on the way home PLEASE someone sue THEM
Last time my daughter was here they released her before they even read the results of her tests
I will NEVER promote them again
I visited the ER on January 21 and again on February 11. Both for neck pain and the exacerbation of the pain. Both experiences were very pleasant. Basically no wait time, the triage staff, nurses, PA’s and doctors were wonderful. Listened attentively and worked as a team to figure out the best course of treatment. I was nervous because of the horror stories you always hear about emergency departments, but WellSpan York Emergency surpassed my expectations.
Slow, nurses standing around and sitting doing nothing, my mom need blood transfusion then they did other test that showed nothing. I ask for a straw for my mom and I’m still waiting for it. Other nurse in hall complaining about a patient, she should not be a nurse I’m sorry. 1st nurse in emergency said to me b position blood is rare, I’m not a nurse but I know b positive blood I’m not rare type.
Waited in Emergency room now for over 6 hours. Was supposed to have results for test 3 hours ago. Still nothing. Will go to Memorial Hospital from now on. Doctors here are to busy doing everything except for being Doctors.
I just had emergency hip replacement surgery, and as apprehensive as I was about the whole process (not having been to a hospital since many, many years pre-Covid) the caring and efficient staff made the whole ordeal bearable. From the ER doctors and staff, radiology and lab employees, and surgical team, to the nursing staff on Tower 3, the therapists and all the other staff who were part of my care, I can only say Thank you with all my heart. Everyone was caring, pleasant, efficient and helpful. I can’t give enough stars to these health care “stars”. God bless you all for your dedication to your patients.
Listen up, folks. If you're even considering getting treatment at this so-called hospital, you need to think again. My wife had the absolute misfortune of being a patient here and it was a nightmare from start to finish.
Sure, the bariatric OR team and surgeons were great. But the rest of the staff? Not so much. The nurses and nurse aides were careless, unprofessional, and downright insulting. My wife was in excruciating pain and vomiting repeatedly, and when we pressed the nurse-call button for urgent help, they ignored and delayed our requests.
I'm talking about over an hour to get my wife one little pill to alleviate her pain and nausea. Meanwhile, she was suffering and vomiting relentlessly. And when I tried to confront the staff about their blatant disregard for my wife's health, they were rude and dismissive.
Let me tell you, if you value your health and well-being, you'll stay far away from this place. These so-called healthcare professionals make over 80k a year and can't even provide basic care to their patients. They would leave you to die and not think twice. Save yourself the trouble and find a hospital with staff that actually care about their patients.
Horrible hospital. Rude nurses rude doctors. Nothing but attitude. Sit and wait. No updates from the doctor. Go to Hershey or any other real hospital.
