WFH Oriental Market reviews
17Had most of what we were looking not the shrimp paste but the other oriental markets didn't have it also and they also have a large selection of Asian food
Store merchandise are illy organized. You may find packaged foods everywhere, not necessarily on specific shelves. Prices are wrong many times because the pricetags you see do not match items put there.
Check out line are long. I waited about 20 minutes at check out.
My Favorite Asian grocery store. I can find alot of my Filipino heritage foods here. Great variety and reasonable prices. I buy my Pancit noodles, sutanghon noodles, patis, soy sauce, Bagoong, Sioapao, Longanisa, Spring Roll/Egg Roll wrappers.etc. I also love the hopia moon cakes they have. Awesome place. Nice variety.
Great fresh foods that are hard to find other places, and tons of dry goods. Love going here to just try new stuff
There’s a great selection of mostly Chinese, Taiwanese, and lots of Thai, some Japanese, and Korean groceries. As a vegetarian, I come here for my supplies of spices, sauces, dried and fresh tofu products, snacks, and my favorite brand of Thai rice.
It’s a bit further away from the main part of the Strip it’s much easier to get parking so I’m not walking blocks back with heavy groceries. I appreciate that they’ll repurpose boxes instead of giving you bags, too. It’s easy to miss the store as it blends in with the warehouses and other brick buildings but once I found it, it’s become a regular spot for me.
My favorite ethnic market in the city. They have everything and their prices on produce are far better than any big grocer in the area! Amazing selection of sauces, noodles and rice types and very friendly workers.
Excellent variety of all your Oriental needs, a good produce and fruit section, the meat and seafood selections very good, great prices. They also have a section of the store where you can buy kitchen wares, from woks to teapots, dishware etc.
Love this store! I can pick up ingredients to make dishes my mom would make when I feel homesick.
Great selection of hard to find ingredients (we found frozen pigs blood, perfect for boudin noir!), as well as plenty of frozen and dried items to fill your pantry and belly with. The usual assortment of sweets and an impressive ramen selection round out this store. We didn't get a chance to poke through their small but well stocked housewares section but I'm confident you won't find it lacking. Well worth the trip and I can't wait to come back.
Great place for different foods and or ingredients that are hard to find. This has now been a go to for my boyfriend and I.
An amazingly large selection of seemingly endless items from the Far East. Needed dried chili peppers for a kung pao shrimp recipe. My father and brother in law were impressed with the selection.
They have a great selection of Asian snacks, noodles and frozen desserts. The store is a bit messy looking in some areas with boxes in random places. They also do not have a large meat selection.
My wife loves the selection there so she goes every week. I went by myself one time and found it very hard to communicate no one spoke English so I didn't find some of the things that she asked me to pick up. They have a small parking lot next door which is great.
A great selection of fresh food and exotic snacks, as well as fruits and vegetables for a great new experience for anyone interested in oriental cuisine. They sell everything from shrimp chips (personal favorite) to Durian to Jackfruit to over 50 kinds of ramen noodles.
Only one of the employees seems to know English. The place is packed with a huge variety of Asian foods and condiments. Fresh fish and Asian veggies.
A pretty decent selection of Asian foods and other goods. The prices are great and the variety is decent, given both the size of the market and its location in Pittsburgh. The only downside is that waiting to check out can take some time since the place is popular!
