Whitemarsh Family Dentistry, Lafayette Hill PA

After searching all over Philadelphia for a dentist that accepted my insurance and took time to know more than the check marks on a sheet, I found Whitemarsh. This, so far (3 visits already) has been the most informative, patient focused and friendly dental office I could hope for. Dr. Kirti Chopra and the staff are the best.

I was a 6 years patient to this wonderful establishment. However; kriti Chopra. Changed my entire comfortably. She assumed my TMJ dysfunction needed a deep cleaning and she made this 20 times worse for me. She is not great at all at her job nor should she be able to carry such title. Wonderful establishment outside of Chopra.

I was very pleased with how patient and knowledgeable the doctor and her staff were with myself and my two children. We appreciated the great care!

I cannot say enough positive things about everyone there. The entire experience is warm and kind from the moment you walk in, and the quality and care they put into their work is evident. By far my best experience at a dentist.

I am always nervous going to the dentist but these guys are awesome! I never have to wait long, they always have appointments readily available and any procedure I’ve ever had done is always quick and pain free! They do a great job of explaining everything they to you. Highly recommend

I had a dental emergency outside my normal office coverage. The staff at Whitemarsh Family Dentistry was highly accommodating and I would certainly recommend them. Clean and inviting office space and professional staff. 10/10

Absolutely Amazing! Dr. Chopra is compassionate towards her patients. She takes time to throughly go over and educate her patients on their procedures and options. The Staff is super friendly as well. I’ve had two extractions and 1 crown, along w fillings and cleanings. I felt zero discomfort throughout my procedures. They did an amazing job. Highly recommended!

Dr. Chopra is professional, caring, and very efficient. The front office staff is always friendly and scheduling is easy. Would definitely recommend!

It was a pleasant experience with this dentistry. Staff was amazing and so were the doctors. Very much detailed and patient with everything. I would definitely recommend this dentistry to friends and family.

This was the best cleaning I ever had, my hygienist Rita did an amazing job, not only was my visit painless, but she actually took time out to do retracting! I will always request her for my visits! I even scheduled my kids appts with her!

DO NOT GO HERE! This dentist misrepresented the cost of my care and did not bill my insurance correctly.

I paid $650 upfront for a crown, which they said was my insurance company's estimate for my out-of-pocket cost. They said this was based on the fact that my insurance only paid 40% of the cost. I checked with my insurance after the work was performed and they actually pay 60%. Further, the total cost WITHOUT INSURANCE was only $700, so the total cost of the procedure pre-insurance was also misrepresented. The amount I was actually responsible was ONLY $280 but I was charged $650.

Further, the dentist did not give my insurance company the information they need to process the claim. A few weeks later I got a letter from my insurance company saying that they were unable to process the crown claim because they needed more information from my dentist.

I called and spoke with the office manager who told me that he received the same letter, had responded, and not to worry. A month passes and I then got the exact same letter from my insurance company with the same questions. My claim was not being processed until the dental office provided more information. I called the office again and Robin told me that they had no knowledge of this, and that the office manager was now on vacation for the next 3 weeks so couldn't deal with it until then.

From where I stand, there are 2 potential scenarios - 1) office is disorganized and poorly run, to the extent that they do not correctly file insurance claims for crowns (which I assume is a very common procedure in a dentist office), or 2) I paid upfront for the crown so they did not bother accurately filing the claim.

As a side note - they told me I had 2 cavities. I got a second opinion from another dentist who told me I had none.

I have had great experience at Whitemarsh. I recently broke a tooth and they were able to see me same day for an evaluation. A few days later they were able to squeeze me in for the procedure, which was amazing.

Dr. Shah was very friendly, professional and guided me step by step through the process. Afterwords, he gave great advice on how to recover plus minimize the risk of this happening again. Everything was exactly as he said and it went great!

The office staff is probably the best I have ever seen. They helped me through the insurance process and explained everything thoroughly. When I had a concern, I really appreciated how quickly they responded to my voicemail.

Rita did an amazing and thorough job cleaning my teeth and Dr. Chopra had some great advice. I highly recommend! This is my place now

The front desk staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. Dr. Chopra is very professional, explained my dental issues, in detail, and the cleaning was really thorough. They use a more advanced method with streamlined water instrument vs.the old metal scraping tool. I liked this much better. I recommend Whitemarsh Family

I had a good experience last spring here and then an awful one today. The dentist said she didn't need to put any sedative on one of three areas she was working on. When she went to work on this area it was the most excruciating tooth pain. I told the dentist multiple times I was in pain, and physically showed it, and she did nothing. This is why people hate the dentist.
