Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Nesquehoning PA

We couldn't have asked for a better time - despite the late summer low water conditions. We were introducing our neighbors to their first "whitewater" rafting experience so we wanted something relatively easy, especially with their eight-year-old on board. This place turned out to be perfect. In fact, they want to return for a dam release day next year! Hillary and the rest of the crew there couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. Unlike other similar operations I've visited over the years in other states, this place was very professionally operated, with clean facilities, a nice gift shop, hot showers available afterwards, and even free grilled hot dogs and birch beer to end your day on the river. And if you call a day in advance they'll even pack you a nice lunch ($9) made fresh and packaged properly to eat on the river. This place will be our "go to" whenever we're camping at Mauch Chunk lake and looking for a nearby (15 min drive) place to whitewater raft.

Soooooo much fun! We went as a couple and then with the kids. Each time was such a great experience. Come prepared and follow all the instructions.

This was my first time rafting and didn’t know which place to pick, picked whitewaters randomly and didn’t expect this experience to be great fun but this ended up being one of my best adventure experiences. Definitely would recommend for beginners who love adventures. It definitely has everything needed for a first time rafting experience.

The guys at work here are absolutely fantastic.you can find literally anyting in their store at reasonable prices if you forgot them at home.

The rafting prices are also reasonable just like the pictures that they take for you when you're going down the river.

An adventure which needs a lot of stamina. Loved the 4 hours of picturesque rafting with helpful guides and mentors. The rapids were really good even in level 2 for any newbie. Instructions and registrations, shopping for shoes and the travel to the rafting site was pretty convenient and fun. Good for 6 in one raft if in case not everyone’s stamina is on the same scale.

Great class 3 Rapids. Be prepared to captain your own raft. Good for beginners. Great for experienced as long as you can pass through the beginners. Bring water, food, and sunscreen. About 20 rafts are escorted by 4 or 5 guides in kayaks. We are going back and recommend this place for groups of 4 or more. Beautiful views of the mountains. This trip is worth the travel.

We did a lower level rapids section equivalent to the "family float section" and had a fun time. Would have liked to have tried something a little more adventurous and they do offer higher level rapids so that's a possibility in the future. The guides were fantastic- they know the rapids well, are friendly, funny, and entertaining. There was a hot dog BBQ and snacks at the end, which was much needed after a long day.

Went whitewater rafting for the first time with some kids in my senior class in 2018. Very fun and friendly staff!

Very dangerous. Do not bring children. There was a family standing on a rock in the middle of the river. They were stranded for hours before someone could get them.

A lot of fun along with adventure if you experience it with a group of people you know well especially friends! Bring some food along to stop midway for lunch!

Beware this whitewater rafting place is incompetent. They put rafters in the water when they obviously know there’s extreme weather conditions all day putting all riders at risk. Flood warning have been issued for several days but let’s let over 100 rafters get involved in a rescue by a bunch of first responders because of there incompetence. Review your protocol and just feel your gut every time instead of seeing dollar signs.

White water rafting I love this stuff. I remember when we came to the end I throw myself in the water. It's so nice and beautiful. Great job

It was so fun and the people teaching and guiding you are just so nice. They really help you and want you to be safe and have fun. Can be relaxing or exciting depending on the water level and day out. Would totally go again!

Great place. Pre-rafting course was clear and the instructor had a great sense of humor. The rafting was enjoyable.

A lot of fun, good price but we were not told in anyway that we could or should be required to wear helmets. I think it should be mandatory or at least mention it. White water rafting is really dangerous.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Our family had a great time! The staff was fun and the water was flowing.a wonderful day on the water!

Funny and amazing guides, everyone is so helpful and kind and sweet.what an adventure rafting along the 13.7 miles course! Zip lining after rafting is at $10 per person if you do any other activity at the WRA and fun.kinda sore all over after such an adventure but hey, what excitement! Totally worth it.the guides grill these amazing hot dogs after rafting, when you’re ravenous, nothing tastes better.amazing scenery on the way and back.on the way to the water, you would see a cave on your right side. Jim Thorpe is beautiful and Leigh river with these steam locomotives that run in summer are so scenic.would advise an overnight stay to cover all activities and relax.

Awesome 10-13 year old boys and my wife had a great time. They did zipline and loved it. The rafting trip was incredible guides where great thanks
