I want to focus on the online graduate programs at Widener University. They DO NOT cater to the working adult. There is no flexibility with schedules, the professors (if they show up or respond) have other jobs or responsibilities so they do not take interest or concern with your progress or with any issues. There is no accountability with poor professors and management of the online programs. Its like you are stranded on a island and YOU have to figure out your escape. Widener is not coming to help you. I wasted 4 graduate school semesters with professors not showing, questions not answered, no assistance with internship, and feeling of frustration as there is noone working with you to ensure success. They take your money and run. Stay away from this so-called University of NOT higher learning.

The academics are great, and the class sizes are amazing. No complaints there.

The problem is the dorms, parking, and meal plan. The bathrooms that 12 guys share are barley even cleaned once a week by the cleaning crew. They get extremely discusting. They slack off a lot at the end of the year. There's been stuff on the floor, and in the sinks for over a week and no one has came to clean the bathrooms.

The Bursars office is also extremely hard to contact and deal with. They don't answer emails and don't call back hardly.

Seeing ROACHES and centipedes DORMS is UNACCEPTABLE. For the money it cost to go here you think they would clean the dorms, and actually fix roach issues. In some dorms, the starewells haven't even been cleaned this whole semester. Moving in on the first day and having to clean your own apartment is discusting. It's like they didn't even touch the room since the last people moved out. At least make it look clean!

With the meal plan, it is called unlimited. But you can not go 2 times in one period. Which is annoying if you just want a snack and then dinner later. And it really isn't actually unlimited since you can't go as many times as you want.false advertising. And you can't even take your food to go!

First, it is a beautiful campus and VERY safe! Just because it says Chester doesn't mean it is automatically a dangerous area. Police and campus safety make sure students on and off campus are safe. Second, the classes are a normal size, like a high school would be, so there is a bigger connection between student and professor. Third, the classes are rigorous and if you go to Widener and don't believe that then maybe your major is too easy for you, or you are taking easier classes. As an engineer, the professors push us as far as we can go, but this rigor is important in my eyes because it prepares us better. The research programs and opportunities are something you cannot beat! They also have a co-op program that is 12 months of experience in 4 years, and I HIGHLY suggest this! Honestly, it doesn't get any better, so keep Widener in your radar!

Widener has been a true blessing for muy daughter! She is thriving thanks to the AMAZING PROFESSORS that truly care. They are able to have one on one time thanks to the small class size. Well worth the money!

I have had a good experience taking online classes at Widener. I was reluctant to go back to school because I did not want to take more than one class at a time; at Widener I can do that, for the most part. My education has been a quality one.

My experience at Widener was excellent and well worth the cost. I credit my graduate studies at Widener for my sucess in landing a great senior management position with one of Philadelphia's leading health care organizations.

At least till now, the experience has been great. The staff especially is just too good and very helpful.

Do yourself a favor and go to school that's cheaper. I guarantee it'll be a better value than Widener.
