Wildlands Conservancy South Mountain Preserve reviews
18Love coming here. Trails are nice and well-kempt. (Could use some tlc on some of the wood bridges but it's nature, it happens). People walking by are friendly and/or keep to themselves. No trash to be seen which is a huge plus and every trail should be litter free.
Great place to unwind and reconnect to nature. Walking the South Mountain Gateway Trail to get here is an added bonus.
This trail has alot to offer. Different walking trails in the woods. Currently mother nature is doing an amazing job at making it smell wonderful with all the blooming flowers. Good for jogging or walking.
One of the greatest outdoor assets this region of the Lehigh Valley has. Excellent, well marked, trail system of varying difficulty with abundant wildlife and scenic views.
Beautiful views, lots of different trails to take, great place to go for a workout or just to enjoy nature & peace. Also great family adventure!
It was a beautiful place to have hiking trails. Some of the trails weren't clearly marked and they need to be updated.
Grew up in those woods. Climbing on eagle rock. Cutting vines off an swinging on them. Beautiful piece of land. The dog's love it as much as me.
Good hike but you can easily get lost. The signs for the trails aren't always easy to spot and there are several trails. Be careful not to get on the HUNTING trail. I ended up getting lost but my god on my phone got me back to where I needed to be. Not my favorite but definitely a hiking spot. Might see some deer as well. Be careful when you do.make sure your not on the HUNTING trail in hunting season wearing the wrong colors! Lol. Defintley leave your reindeer suit at home.
It's a nice place to walk around in. It's near or on South Mountain so parts are hilly and many trees.
Trials are pretty. Well marked and fun things to do along the walk or bike. I have included a picture of the trail map
I really enjoy the floodplains trail. It runs right next to little lehigh creek and has beautiful scenery. The conservancy as a whole has a very laid back feel to it that makes for a great walk. It is a great place to take the kids when you have an hour or so to kill and want be outside but not out in the middle of nowhere.
Very well kept trails (though a few turns on the trails could benefit from enhanced markers). The wildlands conservancy is doing great work. Just a shame that a couple information kiosks have been vandalized.
Good hiking spot. Also good for biking. So watch out for the bikers. Some like to go fast down the trail.
Lived here for 10 years and just discovered this place. It's great, nice spot for hiking and viewing wildlife.
I went out on a Monday morning. I saw deer. It was good deer. Made me say, "holy mackerel". I walked further down the trail, and came upon a stream. I saw a mackerel swimming along in the water. I said, "oh deer".
Beautiful space so close to everything, and the mountain biking trails are unmatched in this area
My favorite trail right in town. Super easy to get to, but kind of hidden. I had lived in emmaus for a few years and never knew it existed.
The trails are all marked clearly except for the Red Trail which can be difficult to find the second half as the markers are at greater distances in the clearing than they are in the woods.
Such a great place so close to town. Let's keep it wild. Many miles of hiking trails right in Emmaus with over a 500 ft rise. Did someone say back country skiing?
